Now that quite a few more players are joining, I'm starting to think I should maybe start putting in some new characters of my own (as I like to have as many connections to groups in the RP as reasonably possible in case I need to do something with them in the plot, and I also just like playing characters). Character ideas I've been mulling over so far:

MCU Iron Man (genius billionaire playboy philanthropist who fights with a sui- why am I describing this, y'all know who Iron Man is)
Wrecking Ball (supergenius hamster from Overwatch who pilots a combat mech)
Toph Beifong (tough and snarky blind girl from Avatar who controls rocks with martial arts)
The Doctor (goofy, hyper intelligent time traveler from Doctor Who, likes to gets out of situations with words, speeches and smarts rather than violence. Probably'll either play the 11th or the 13th Doctor, not sure yet)
Mako Mori, Raleigh Beckett and Gispy Danger from Pacific Rim (mostly want to join cause I'd really like to play a giant robot character. Just not sure how much I wanna play them, since while the mech fight stuff with them will be fun, their actual characters would be rather...boring and unfun)
Some combination of these 3 from Gurren Lagann (same reason as the previous one. Not so sure about them either, only cause not only are their powers galaxy-busting levels of absurdity, they're also not very well defined as Gurren Lagann is a more emotionally driven story)

(I also considered joining as Frieza from DBZ, but that was only at the beginning cause I wasn't sure if anyone else was gonna join as a villain or not)

Alright. I may have to do sort of a copy paste with the powers though. I can change some minor things to improve flow, but the wiki explains them pretty well from what I've seen.

That's fine, nothing wrong with that
Do you want the shorthand, or what shorthand I can provide, of Dracula's personality, or will-and it pains me to say this but-a copy-paste of the wiki's description of his personality suffice?

I'd much prefer you writing it out yourself, but I'm not gonna hold it against you if you don't. And if I'm being completely honest, the personality isn't really the most important thing for the character sheet for this RP. As long as I can tell you understand the basics well enough, you're fine
Hmmmmmmmm.

Maybe I can hop in this with 2B and/or 9S? Might be better to have them together, but it also might be fun playing route C Nines. I dunno.

2B and 9S would be pretty cool inclusions for sure. Go for it, if you wanna
Well this looks interesting. Might just have to join. I thought about using Dracula from Lords of Shadow 2 if I do, but the amount of abilities that man has is a tad...

Extreme.

But what IS a man? A miserable little pile of secrets?

Anyway, I do try my best to find ways to accept as many characters that get submitted as I can, so I would recommend just trying to submit a profile and I'll try to see if we can find ways to make his powers as reasonable as possible

Also, having Dracula in this would be interesting, since we also have Dio from Jojo as well, who is quite comparable to Dracula
@LouisTheDummy
Accepted, and you're allowed to add many characters as you want
@TruthHurts22
That's totally fine. So yeah, all the characters are (tentatively) accepted
@TruthHurts22
Well in terms of avoiding it like any other attack, that's true. But it doesn't really give them the knowledge of what it actually does, or informs them that they can avoid it in the ways you listed. Saying the word cataclysm does certainly imply certain things, but I'd say it would take pretty quick thinking (as well as some big gambles) on the opponent's part to figure out how to avoid it.

All this being said, I do get the sense that you probably won't abuse the power. I guess I'll just say what I said for Zoey Boey's Dio with his time stop ability: as long as you stay mindful about the abilities and try your best to not be annoying to other players, I'm willing to allow it for now within reason

As a side note, I guess I should maybe take a moment to address this generally: to anyone who feels like I might be coming off as a bit too harsh when accepting characters, I really don't mean to be, it's just that I really need to be as selective and shrewd as I can in this RP because in an RP like this things can go very wrong very quickly. Honestly, most of the time I am trying to find a way to allow any kind of power in the RP as possible, I'm just trying to be as careful as I can to not allow things to go south. Honestly, maybe I'm just a bit too cautious for my own good, haha. Felt I should just be transparent about that
Yeah, I was figuring that the pre-determined nature of PC combat would make Lucky Charm and Cataclysm a bit easier to manage. Lucky Charm I probably didn't explain right, either. It's less of an "I win" button and more of a catalyst to win? Okay that's not so good too, but to actually benefit from Lucky Charm requires some thought, and might not even relate to what needs to be done right then, or even not involve the fight at all. It's also not foolproof, and doesn't take into account the situation changing. If a different problem comes up, an earlier Lucky Charm is basically junk (though like any junk could still be useful if you think of a good way to use it).

Plus, they're really minor things - forks, cans of paint, once it became a radiator. It isn't like Lucky Charm could create a magic Bullet Magnet to suck up bullets with, it creates mundane objects. Surprisingly useful ones, but still.

Well, since there's a window of opportunity for her to fail at using it, I suppose that should be fine. As long as other players have a plausible way around it and the item isn't 100% destiny-bound to always work no matter how she uses it, that's basically what I care about

Cataclysm I can understand being a bit of an issue, but it's more easily defendable since you could just chuck something at Cat Noir to have him use it up, or just make him waste its charge, or even just dodge his hand if you're able. And I know just taking a player on their word is iffy, but I don't plan on whipping them out right at the start of a fight. Even in the show they usually save them until they absolutely need to use it, due to the time limit they cause.

This is a fair point, but I feel like it kind of also relies on the other character knowing what the power does? I do take your word that you won't abuse it, but I dunno, I still feel like there maybe should be something in place to kinda hint at what the power does to the other characters or something

Akumatization isn't possession, no. I'm sorry how unhelpful my explanation was (that's what I get for trying to get it done at 4 AM), It's like Hawk Moth is putting the gun into vulnerable people's hands and being very convincing on why they should use it. It's more of a deal than a forced thing. I think his power also makes the emotions worse, which could be why people still agree to be turned into a villain. Though it does change them, until the akuma is released or recalled.

I guess since it relies on vulnerable people and still requires cooperation with the other character, that makes it a little better. And like I said, he's a villain and this power would be pretty good at causing conflict in the story which can be really useful, so I'm willing to look past a lot more than I would for other characters anyway. I guess I ultimately don't have much of a problem with his power, it should be fine

Of course I'm not going to do anything without player permission. If there are NPCs in the game, it could also be easily prioritized to them instead of other Pcs.

Any NPCs in the game will probably be just one-off monsters for the characters to fight and who will already be pretty villainous anyway, unfortunately
Doin' them in pairs for the sake of brevity. But man, is there a lot to explain.

Woof, what a long one. Hopefully it's not too wordy :v

Hmm...alright, so I guess 2 main points

First, I feel like the creation and destruction powers are maybe a little bit much. Being able to break anything you touch as well as gaining any item you need to solve a problem both seem kinda impossible to really defend against. I suppose the ability to only use them once makes them a little less OP, but I'm still not really sure since I imagine in a lot of cases, you'd really only need to use them once to win a fight

Second, if I'm understanding Gabriel's powers correctly (it was a bit complicated so I'm not super confident I understood all of it), they seem like some form of possession, right? I'm always really wary about powers that change and control other characters and take agency away from the players, as it can be really unfun for the other player to deal with. It sounds like it's only semi possession, and the character is a villain which kinda makes it a little more tolerable, but...I dunno. I guess just maybe make sure that, if you do decide to possess other characters, make sure the player is cool with it?
So I finally decided to update my posts with proper banners and locations. Really like the Chief one, don't really like the Dante one, couldn't find an actual official DMC font unfortunately
