She has light blue eyes and slightly wavy brown hair to her waist, and is a little nondescript otherwise. She doesn't wear fantastical makeup, or dress particularly fashionably or come to school in her jogging shorts. Her preferred accessory is a book, and a backpack that seems to weigh more than she does sometimes. Her figure is slender, and she stands at around 5,2".

Alyssa hasn't had the best experience in school, and tends to be pretty quiet. Usually, the smart kid is the one participating in class, but she'd rather sit to the side and quietly absorb information. She dislikes large groups of people - she's not unfriendly, just becomes intimidated and tends to stop talking. Ally has some trust issues - because why would they ever like her, a boring nerd? - and tends to have a hard time making friends. With people she knows, and trusts, she actually has quite a little wry sense to her humour. And if you ask her about a book she's read, one-on-one, expect an (unusually) enthusiastic conversation.

A small townhouse, with a small backyard and a small pool. Alyssa has a good view of the outside from her desk, which looks out over a window - it's perfect for studying and reading, in her opinion.

|| BIOGRAPHY ||

Alyssa, despite her gentle ways, would like to slap the person who came up with the idea of high school. Middle school, too. Teenage girls can be terribly cruel, for no logical reason. A late developer, she was teased relentlessly in middle school by her peers. It didn't help that she was smart - this was just another reason for them to attack her. It started out verbal, progressed to social media and became slightly physical by the end of grade 9. By that time, it was not only the girls, but the boys had been drawn in as well. Cruel 'Valentines' and mockingly being asked out plagued her life for 2 years.

When she was held down inside a toilet bowl, her parents finally withdrew her from that school and placed her into Delbrook Academy. Her bumps and bruises healed, but the psychological scars were far deeper. The bullying devastated her self-esteem and destroyed her good relationship with food. Alyssa is at a point where she's relieved to be away from that cruel space, but she doesn't have high hopes for her future at Delbrook Academy.

Her aversion to public bathrooms is due to a lot of the bullying occurring in them. It started small, but escalated to almost drowning in a toilet. She tends to prefer avoiding conflict to facing it head-on.
Her issues with food began as a coping mechanism, perhaps as a way of controlling something in her life. Besides, perhaps they'd like her if she was thinner - all very dangerous 'logic.'

Not that I know of. My first character has a history of being bullied as well (for a lot of reasons), and I had originally intended for that to be part of the story. I suppose they'll just be NPCs?

"I'm Katie," she responded automatically, almost wincing a moment later. Should she have used a pseudonym? Too late now, and the woman seemed nice enough. She still smiled, acting to her best ability that everything was normal. She took the offered menu, the delicious smell of frying food making her mouth water. Hesitatingly sitting up at the bar, she glanced behind herself - instinctively - wondering if anyone had followed them here. She hoped not. Turning back to the lady, she smiled again and glanced back down at the menu.

Katie was at a bit of a loss, truth be told. It had been months since she'd even been in charge of her own body - let alone making decisions. There were so many choices, and drinks, and coffee... She bit her lip, giving one last nervous look over her shoulder.

Katie nodded slightly, the idea of warm food like heaven. In fact, it was starting to get just as distracting as the fact that she might be followed. God, she couldn't even remember the last time she ate. Then... he began singing again. After the first couple of words, it seemed like relaxation washed over her. Keeping undercover wasn't stressful, and she didn't think about food anymore. Her steps became more solid, less on their toes, and she glanced languidly over at him.
