Rapunzel packed up her things off the dock and looked at her picture as she stood. It was nice, the dark lines of the prison were bordered by thinner lines of shading. The entire picture was grey-scale and filled with shading. When she was done looking at it, she stuffed her book back into her bag and stood before she headed back to the hair salon. When she got there Agatha was holding and envelope. She handed it, grinning, to Rapunzel. The girl took it knowing well what it was. Once Rapunzel had gotten settled she had gotten straight to work and hadn't stopped since she got here a year ago. Agatha thought it was about time that the girl took a break and told her that she was going to send her on a vacation to Lake Tahoe. Agatha wasn't going to come though as she used excuses like Rapunzel needed time alone or to find friends her own age but really it was because she could leave work and Rapunzel knew that. She admired that.

"The car is out front," She hugged Rapunzel, "I'll see you soon, kid."

Rapunzel nodded, "Thanks, Aggie."

She quickly ran upstairs and grabbed her bag out of her closet before she pulled it over her should and headed out the door. She waved to Agatha through the window as they drove off. She made sure she had packed her art supplies because, well, she didn't have the heart to tell Agatha that she didn't know how to snow board or ski... Her talents were very much of the indoor variety. However, she knew that the ski lodge she was going to had some beautiful pictures taken that she wouldn't mind trying to get down on paper.
My mom's side of the family is pretty big and get pretty crazy around Christmas. We are all going to hang out tomorrow afternoon and go to a bar for lunch then again that night when we get our pajamas then have our separate Christmas mornings before coming to my place at 10 for a big Christmas morning breakfast and gift exchange. Then relaxing before a Christmas dinner... which is only 40 people this year... which is pretty small for us.

But thinking about this all reminds me that I flying down to Mexico on the 27th and will be there until the 5th and probably won't be able to post any.... It slipped my mind when I signed up but I will bring my iPad and post if I can c:
Lauralye looked over her shoulder at Robert when David's face paled. Her eyebrows knitted together when he spoke about how he thought the Prince should be dealt with. She turned to face him and caught his hand with her's. She looked up at him and spoke quietly, "We can't kill him, Robert.... That makes us no better... Besides, he should pay for what he has done... not die for it."

A thought suddenly came to her and she looked at David again, "Where's my father?" she asked, fearful.

Present Day ~ San Francisco ~ Earth

Rapunzel sat on the fire escape just outside her room and looked down at the streets below. It was pretty early in the morning so the streets were yet to be busy. Even the trolley, when it passed now and again, was only half full. She pulled her hair over her shoulder and stood before climbing back into her room in the small apartment that she shared with the woman who found her, Agatha. Her room was pretty empty with only a bed, a desk, and mirror. However, Rapunzel couldn't complain this felt familiar even though none of it really was. Not to mention, Agatha had spent her money elsewhere on Rapunzel as she bought the girl clothes and paid the full rent for the two of them. Rapunzel was just glad that the woman had given her a job in her salon and allowed her to pay her back in someways. The money that she did make Rapunzel bought paint supplies and books and other little things that made her happy, like a miniature model of the Golden Gate Bridge.

She took a seat at her makeshift vanity and looked at the mirror just above her desk. She played with her long hair for moment before she began to braid it. Braiding her hair always took a while and she had learnt how to make quick work of it. When she tied of the ends she pin it all up into a bun and smiled as she grabbed her sketchbook and climbed out her window and down the fire escape. If it were just to Rapunzel she would keep her hair down and even longer than it was but she wasn't really sure how she had ever managed to grow it that long and be comfortable with it. The wind off the bay was enough to bug her now when she left it down and it all blew into her face.

Rapunzel walked down the street a ways before hoping on the trolley and made her way to the docks where she could see Alcatraz. Agatha didn't seem to excited by the place but Rapunzel had never seen anything like it... In fact, she had never seen anything like a lot of the things San Francisco had to offer. Cell phones, cars, computers, sour dough! Agatha laughed and always said it was like she really had been stuck in a tower or under a rock all these years.

When she reached the docks, Rapunzel took off her shoes and sat down. She let her toes rest in the cold ocean water as she opened her sketchbook in her lap. She began to sketch the prison and felt as though she had some kind of connection to it. Although, it didn't make much sense... After all, she wasn't a criminal and had certainly never ended up in a prison. However, the feeling of being trapped seemed to resonate with her in a way that she didn't understand....
I have no clue where to put Rapunzel, any ideas?
Jaya grinned and nodded, "Far warmer than the Earth Kingdom stuff," She said as she stuffed her things into her bag.

Katara smiled at the girl, "You look like you belong here," She looked between them, "I probably don't have to say it but... Not everyone here has dealt with people from the Fire Nation like I have. A lot of people make snap judgments so... just be careful. It is good to see that you two aren't paying much attention to that though."

Jaya looked at Nikko and gave him a soft smile as Katara spoke. The Waterbender walked over to the entrance of the building, "I should get going though... Enjoy your time in the Southern Water Tribe and... be careful."
What if you put the pictures in a hider?
Katara smiled at them as she pulled out some blue clothing and handed them to Jaya, "You can change into these behind there," she said as she pointed to a blanket that hung like a wall in the small room.

Jaya nodded and disappeared behind it as Katara looked at Nikko. She nodded, "That I am. I figured I should come back to the Southern Water Tribe and help rebuild it while Aang is off making his own city."

She smiled and looked Nikko over, "I suppose you are from the Northern Water Tribe. Considering I haven't seen you before."

Jaya stepped out back into view bundled up in blue. She pulled her hood over her head and smiled, "This is really soft!"
Lauralye was about to answer when she heard someone run into the room. She turned to see the doctor who had saved Robert before but most of all she noticed his smile. She smiled back at him before turning back to David. She glared at the Prince and scoffed, "I trust him because he has proven himself to be trustworthy time and time again.
He never saw me as a way to get more power or a bargaining chip... I was just the Princess who he wanted to protect just like I did him."

She crossed her arms, "I'm a little disappointed that you believed them. When people are suppressed and live their lives in fear or are controlled for their entire lives they rebel," She gestured to herself, "After all, is that not what is happening here?"

She stepped closer to the Prince, "Now, should I throw you to the demons or throw you in the dungeons?"
Lauralye dropped to the ground a moment after Robert and knelt next to him. She looked at him, "Hey, what's wrong," She saw him clutching his side and noticed his heavy breathing. She looked over her shoulder at the men, "Get one of the doctors from the infirmary. Turn right out the door and then left when you can. It's the room at the end of the hall. Tell them that... uh..." She looked at David who was still being restrained by a guard, "That the Prince is injured."

She looked back at Robert and cupped his face. She smiled down at him before she moved to place his head on her lap, "Everything is going to be okay. I promise."

She then turned her attention to David. She lowered Robert's head to the ground and stood. She stalked up to the restrained Prince, "How dare you allow demons into my castle."
