I almost want to make a flow chart of who hates who. But then I don't want to spend that kind of time on something so silly.

And at his age in this day an' age, it wouldn't be unlikely for him to have a roommate to help pay for those expenses. Especially since he doesn't seem particularly ambitious. But yeah, it depends on a variety of things.

That said, he should just be rich. It's working for Cori

As someone who's rented and sublet in the past, I know.
I may post again tonight, I just have to figure out what a reasonable price for rent is, I live with my mom so I wouldn't know

Safe bet, the total rent would probably be between $1700-3000 a month depending on condition and location. Split that and then say plus food and utilities. Sam likely has an annual salary of $35,000 so he would probably go somewhere in the middle with the plan of splitting it. All that to say $1100 a month plus utilities and food would not be unusual. Expenses would land around half of what they make every month since they do not have specialized jobs.
@Afro Samurai I was confused for a moment because I couldn't find your characters CS. And then I remembered it was in the OOC.
Quinn

Leaning against the wall for some support she reached down and took her shoes off. it took her a moment to push back and stand on her own two feet. She stayed pretty quiet though the tour. She probably would have made a comment or two but she was super tired. The placer was nicer than where she was now at least. Made her wonder how much rent was. Rubbing her eyes with one hand she tried to keep awake long enough to at least get through this. Anyone with any kind of sense would probably notice her drifting though.

After the whole walkthrough Quinn nodded a bit. It took her a bit to gather her thoughts and she squinted in the process. "The place looks nice. What uh... what is the cost?" Shaking her head for a moment she glanced around. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but the sleep deprivation and the crazy experience of a few days ago had her a bit paranoid. The movement made her head swim though and she weaved a bit. She held her arms out and steadied herself, awake for the moment. "Sorry, I'm alright. I've not had a great last few days. Really tired."

So what's up guys? I realize that things haven't been as active here lately, but I'll still hang around. CAn't be rid of me that easily.
@t2wave
Nice intro, clever use of the background information :)

Figured it would be better than just regurgitating exactly what happened. Sounded like a reasonable push to get her going.
@duskshine749 There we go. Now Samuel has someone to talk to, well, before she passes out anyway.

The sound, it just never stopped. She could hear everything from her neighbors talking, TVs going, bugs and vermin scurrying around, buzzing electric lines, the list goes on. None of it was particularly well defined though. It all muffled together in a cacophony of chaos. Quinn felt like she was losing her mind. She barely slept for the last couple days, not since for a whole day seeing weird things going on. Eyes and movement in the shadows, odd reflections, weird crap. She'd thought that maybe she'd been drugged but there was no proof and it didn't explain the noise now. She was also afraid to go to sleep, because the last time she went to bed she swore that the shadows came to life and tried to kill her.

The woman wasn't particularly superstitious but by this point Quinn couldn't put aside the chance that her apartment was haunted. Not after all of that. Against her better judgement she called up a number she'd seen on a flyer around town. Someone was looking for a roommate and while she ordinarily would not jump at the idea of living with a stranger she couldn't live here anymore. Not quite in her right mind she arranged a time to meet and went about on autopilot through the day until taking a cab to Samuel's apartment that evening to see how it was. The noise was still mind numbing, but seemed to be less here. Perhaps being further from the inner city helped. By now she was exhausted and stood at the door, conscious through momentary spurts of willpower and the noise.
@CornixElecti A handgun in NYC, tisk tisk. :P

@duskshine749 That'll work.
