I am not being controlled by a mind flayer. I just used my own healthy brain to come to that conclusion. Because I'm saying it, it must be true.

Hello?
Kato eyes widened when he saw the barren field transform into an arena filled with opponents. He watched as the interviewer faded into the background, then his focus immediately snapped to his fellow mages. Kato didn't know what to do at first, he noticed some other students trying to make a plan of action so he decided he'd help give them some time to decide what they were going to do.

Kato turned to the illusionary beasts then back to the other mages and shouted, "I can hold them off for a little bit, but it won't be long." Kato pulled out his scepter and pointed it at the horde of beasts. With a glow of blue magic, a sizable wave of water poured from his scepter. The amount of magic power Kato used to create this wave only let him create a wave that was about 3 feet high. The wave was directed in a cone shape that rushed towards the illusions. Kato thought to himself, 'I wonder what's going to happen to the illusions...'

The wave made its way to the beasts and crashed into their front lines. At first it looked like Kato's wave crashed into the beasts, but on closer inspection the water just seemed to pass through them. Once the water passed through them, the beasts seemed to shimmer a bit before disappearing. Shortly after, the interviewer used his magic to create more illusions in their place, only half as many however.
I can keep an open mind, so whatever works for you @forums, I'll go along with it.

@Kit DewStein I'm sorry but I'm in the same boat as Katherine on this one. Even if you went to a top notch private school and were a loner your character would still understand the word 'team'. Remember, even though there is magic, this Rp still takes in modern day. In modern day,if someone went to a privileged rich school they would probably have a wider vocabulary than most.

I've been hella busy recently so I didn't have time to ask you to edit your ic post, but I'd like you to change it. Even if it means just taking out those two sentences.
I look over at the boy as he emerges from wreckage, a confused look washes over his face as I watch him take in everything around us, "My name's bass...like the fish." I say as I look around at everything. I wasn't exactly clear headed when exiting the bus so I hadn't realized my surroundings. I looked at the man limping down the street, but upon noticing everything else, I was left a bit speechless. Wait... When did all this happen? I swear everything was fine just a few hours ago... Or maybe...how long were we out for? Because cities don't just become ghost towns within a few hours. I look back at the boy who woke me up (@forums), "Honestly man, I don't know. I've never seen the streets like this before. Maybe there was an evac in this neighbourhood, like, your guess is as good as mine."

Checking earlier, I knew I didn't have my phone on me so I didn't even try to be of help. Time was escaping me, I couldn't even determine how long its been since I've been awake, but I wanted to do something. It felt like I've been standing in front of this broken bus for hours, even though its only been minutes. I speak to the group, "We all have calls to make, places to be and people to see. If none of us have a working phone then maybe we should make the trek to the cop shop and see if they can help us... We can also drop this guy off at the hospital on the way there," I point to the limping man down the street, "He looks more injured than any of us here.... What do you guys say?"
The testing grounds is a fenced in area outside the city's border to the west. The west gate is what they call the border. There is a west and east gate. After the gm post I made I was hoping to have every body In the fenced In area of the testing grounds.
Yeah, it may have been a bit confusing. When I posted about the west gate I was talking about the west border access.
The west gate leads to outside the city walls, just outside the city walls is a testing ground that is surrounded by a magical fence. That's where we are. Sorry, I should have clarified earlier.
