Kato eyes widened when he saw the barren field transform into an arena filled with opponents. He watched as the interviewer faded into the background, then his focus immediately snapped to his fellow mages. Kato didn't know what to do at first, he noticed some other students trying to make a plan of action so he decided he'd help give them some time to decide what they were going to do.
Kato turned to the illusionary beasts then back to the other mages and shouted, "I can hold them off for a little bit, but it won't be long." Kato pulled out his scepter and pointed it at the horde of beasts. With a glow of blue magic, a sizable wave of water poured from his scepter. The amount of magic power Kato used to create this wave only let him create a wave that was about 3 feet high. The wave was directed in a cone shape that rushed towards the illusions. Kato thought to himself, 'I wonder what's going to happen to the illusions...'
The wave made its way to the beasts and crashed into their front lines. At first it looked like Kato's wave crashed into the beasts, but on closer inspection the water just seemed to pass through them. Once the water passed through them, the beasts seemed to shimmer a bit before disappearing. Shortly after, the interviewer used his magic to create more illusions in their place, only half as many however.
