Another bump. Seems I've been here for 420 days now...#420BLAZEIT!
Bump~
I don't believe in any set-in-stone god/s, so let somebody from the "nonbeliever" side level with you right quick.

I was brought up Christian; had all three of my Holy Sacraments, used to go to church every Sunday. Y'know, the standard fare. But I never really really believed. There's no need to; having faith in someone/something bigger than yourself can be nice and all, but I personally find that the person/thing you need to have faith in more than any deity is yourself. Don't let doubt cloud your mind on this; every tree bears a few bad apples and the Mormon community you live with just might be some bad apples. If you think Jesus died for our sins on the cross and got back up, then believe. I personally think the story's a bit far-fetched, but won't discard the chance that there's some truth buried in there.

There's no rule saying you MUST keep your faith set in stone at all times. Try a few other religions out for a little while and see if any of them call out to you more than Non-Denominational Christianity. I hear Buddhism is pretty neat. And if you try one and think "Hey, this is way better than what I used to believe in", then believe in that from now on. If not, then you can choose to stick to your old faith or even soldier on without need for such things as a god or higher being. I think more than anything, God would want his creations to be happy...unless, y'know, he's still an evil sadistic fuck like in the Old Testament. Just be good to others and yourself, and things should work out for you. That's the kind of thing I believe in, at least.

This came out a lil' longer than I expected. Hope it helped you in some way though :)
I do have a 1x1 going already with somebody else, but we both post kinda slowly there and it's nice for me to keep myself occupied, so how better to do that than getting a couple more RPs to respond to? So first off, a few things you should know about me.

My gender definitely matters - not the gender of my characters, my gender. I also care what your gender is because the gender of your character doesn't mean squat to me if you yourself aren't the gender I'm looking for. I'm kinda superficial like that. I only do a set form of gender pairings; I might be interested in other formats, but if I am I won't give everyone else any means of knowing unless they directly ask me. I only RP the same ten or so fandoms that everybody else RPs around here, and I seriously hope you got that this entire little paragraph is me making fun of a generalization of all the other 1x1 interest checks around here :)

Okay, now for the real about me.

My name is UnendingEmpire, also known as UE or Yui. I've been RPing for a few years now, and I'm definitely no stranger to trying out different genres and what have you. At one point, I found myself more capable of RPing in a thread than PMs, but lately the inverse seems to be true instead. Despite my actually being male, I find that my male RP characters are flat at best and horribly cliche at worst, so if a guy RPing a girl disturbs you in any way, kindly press the Backspace key on your keyboard and find a different person to partner up with, because this is non-negotiable for me. I like a lot of different fanons that will be listed below, but am always up for something original too. More than anything, I'm in this to create an enjoyable story with somebody else. I like playing Yu-Gi-Oh, and maintain that Gustos should be Tier 1...at least when used properly. Like how I use them. In my off-time, I'm also a musician sometimes. Feel free to ask me about that if you want :)

So that's enough about me. I'd like to lay down some rules about my RPing.

Okay, finally got all the business stuff out the way. Time for the fun stuff that you've been waiting for. Like I said earlier, I'm down for most anything as long as there's a good plot behind it. I'll be listing off some stuff from the "highlights reel" for both fandoms and genres. More stars means more want.

~Fandoms~
Kantai Collection★★★ (OCs or canons)
Hellsing★ (OCs only)
Touhou★★★★★ (Canons only)
Pokemon★★★ (OCs only)
Yu-Gi-Oh★★★ (OCs only)
Warcraft★★ (OCs only)
Legend of Zelda★★★★★ (OCs only; can be based on canons)

~Genres~
Horror★★
Sci-Fi★★★
Fantasy★★★★
Post-Apocalyptic★★★★ (This will require a pretty neat plot tho)
School Life★★★★
"Band on the Road"★

More can be added from time to time, so if you don't want anything on the current list, try coming back in a few days and take a second look. Rinse and repeat for best results.

So now with all that stuff out of the way, if you're interested in an RP, the best way to notify me is via PM. Make sure the title stands out at least a bit though so that it doesn't blend in with everything else I've got in there ^_^;
You had me at "Skullgirls". I'd like to know a few more things about the RP though. I have three questions in particular. 1) Depending on the timeframe, what's your stance on canons? I don't usually ask this, but I love Ms. Fortune too much to not consider the possibility that I might end up wanting to RP her if the timeframe is correct. 2) Are you seeking a co-GM to help manage this? I've GM'd and co-GM'd many RPs over the years, and would be glad to contribute whatever I can to make this successful. 3) Could you go a bit more into detail on the plot? If further details are unavailable and the answer to 2 is "yes", I'd be glad to help build it if you'll have me *gentlemanly bow*
Chiyo Mononobe
Gender: Female Age: 19 Appearance: Linkage Personality: Chiyo cares little for winning or losing, if at all. All she really cares is that she has a good time dueling. She'd be perfectly happy losing if she had fun doing it, and her "bland" victories don't really even count to her. That doesn't mean she'll go easy on somebody just to spice things up though; not at all. As much as fun is her top priority, Chiyo is the sort to always give her 100% best effort. Unless it involves lying; that's something she never does, and Chiyo even is known to just say whatever comes to mind if she thinks it's worth saying. This makes her seem like a motormouth at times, but that's not entirely true. She's also extremely proud of her family heritage that traces back to the Mononobe clan of Japanese history. Even if it's a little childish of her (not that her sweet tooth is all that mature either), Chiyo's dream is to be a samurai like her ancestors were. She even carries a "katana" around with her, though in reality it's just a reinforced bamboo stick with a hilt at the end. She even operates by the centuries-old code of morals and honor that the samurai of old used, whenever possible. And, if only because it's due to her spirit partner always giving her sage advice in the heat of the moment, Chiyo might be a bit wiser than she lets on. Bio: Chiyo's life has actually been remarkably unremarkable for the most part. Average parents, average friends, average upbringing...oh, right, there's also the bit about how her family's been tracing its heritage for a really long time, and it points right back to the historic Mononobe clan of Japan. Not many people have that to say about themselves. Perhaps because of how unique this is to her, Chiyo's long been the sort to study up on Japanese history, and even aims to one day become something akin to a samurai of old. For the time being, though, a Duel Monsters expert will do. She doesn't realize that she's actually as good as she is, but it may also be due to her spirit partner - Grandmaster of the Six Samurai - giving her sage advice in her darkest moments. Perpetually grinning and never giving up, Chiyo's deck has taken her many places. Even to this tournament being hosted by some guy calling himself The Khan. A weird name to use in her opinion, but hey, the tournament's bound to be fun, so it's not like she minds. Signature Feature: Her (wooden) sword. It's completely harmless, and is entirely for show. Favorite Card: Grandmaster of the Six Samurai
aight. Just gonna go with the one for the time being. Might make a second one down the line or something, I dunno
I see every bit of what you're doing with that character. And I like it. My two will be up soon enough. Should I just post them in the characters tab, or...?
Trust me, Artifacts ain't gonna do it... Probably.
With the January 2015 banlist in effect, Artifacts won't be doing much of anything anymore. Which sucks, because I kinda liked HAT decks.
What's this talk of a reboot I hear? Krein and I have been talking about Dread's intent to reboot for the last few days via Skype, and aside from offering my co-GMing abilities if wanted/needed in the reboot, I will be signing up again. I've seen my fair share of YGO RPs over the years, and know what to and not to be wary of in both YGO and RPing itself. Figured it's about time I made my intentions known to the thread, lol. So yeah, I'm game for a reboot when it happens. On that note, expect a PM shortly, Scarifar. There's something I gotta ask you in terms of characters and deck usage.
