Username:Vas Khaleen

Name:Dame.Tamz'Kuna The Tall

Age:28

Height:6'6

Gender:Female

Race:Orc

Origin: Tamz'Kuna was the eldest daughter and only living child of a fierce orc warlord, whom commanded a traveling warband numbering five hundred; three hundred and seventy of those being professional warriors though none in the group were to be trifled with. The band was one of those which made orc human racial tensions all the higher, raiding peaceful towns, villages and eventually taking a small keep which of course called for great celebration on the part of the orc's. Looting the keep they drank and feasted on the supplies within, awakening in the morning to find a great host outside the walls; lead by King Cassius himself with a number close to a thousand and a half. King Cassius was to give no quarter, the band had harassed his people for long enough and they had called for their heads few amongst the group were innocent and all had shared in the plunder of those defeated. Tamz'Kuna's father wouldn't surrender however, nor would he hole up inside of the stone fortress; before Cassius's siege weapons could be readied the heavy oak drawbridge came steadily crashing down across the shallow moat which surrounded the tall walls. And several hundred battle crazed orcs rushed from the keep, crashing into the center of King Cassius's army, heavily outnumbered they were quickly encircled by the superior force; albeit they fought down to the last child. Including Tamz'Kuna whom was only eleven at the time already standing at five feet and two inches, and already a tough fighter in her own right not that she stood a chance against any real combatants; it was in a melee between her father and King Cassius in which her father lost his life run through the gut with cold steel. The battle at that point had more or less been ended, most of the band lay dead but Tamz' was still alive and angry, as Cassius slayed her father Tamz rushed the King managing to squirm past the two Kingsguard which defended him; a small dagger in hand she managed to drive it slightly into King Cassius from behind. The blade finding a gap in his plate just near the hip, the blade drawing blood and sticking firmly into his side; she quickly found herself knocked unconscious by the armored gauntlet of a Kingsguard.

They were moving to execute the child as no mercy was the call and of course she had attacked the King himself, but Cassius spared her life finding her courage and ability to survive a battle at such a young age admirable. And he took the child with him sparing her life to allow her to work as a servant, and in the King's castle she grew strong and quickly, standing at six foot one by the time she was sixteen. She was unhappy of course to be imprisoned to the people who slaughtered her friends and family, though as she grew she came to understand why it needed to be done; and what kind of man her father was in truth. Considering her rapid growth and adjustment to human custom King.Cassius began to have her trained, his best knights and master-of-arms teaching her to use all manner of weapon; her greatest talent laying with the sword quickly picking up on its use and handling. Able to face three soldiers together by seventeen, fighting in her first battle for Cassius by nineteen in a small skirmish with a rouge lord; as soon as they felled the wall of the treasonous Lord's keep Tamz' Kuna threw herself first roaring with fury into the breach. She killed many men fighting alongside Cassius's own soldiers, her ferocity and skill fast spreading amongst the men whom attended the battle; and so at the conclusion of the fighting King.Cassius knighted Tamz' Kuna. It wasn't until she reached the age of twenty one that she was selected to be one of the Kingsguard, an honor which every knight dreamt of but few ever reached; her actions in saving the King's own son from a stable fire prompting her introduction into the elite guard. Along with her steadily increasing and well renowned skills in combat.

Ameture brawlers, they make a wonderous mess of things....-300
Back from work. Had time to do a little reading up on a couple of sheets whilst I was there.

@Dead Cruiser You're Vampire dude is awesome. Like, very well written. I can tell a lot of thought went into him when it came to balancing the books. His back story was also a lovely little novella all by itself.

Lemme know when you've got the rest done.

@CorpusMundum Your Crusaders were likewise a joy to read about, and I particularly liked your focus on divinity and its possible origins, and how such things can be communicated into magic rather than miraculous intervention.

Accepted!

Riiiiiiight, now I'm going to have a little sit down and see if I can't hack through some more of these.

Oh and just a shout out to those who posted "Place Holder" sheets, please let me know when you're ready to have them reviewed because I might not notice that you've updated them. Thanks!

I finished mine as well.

Lily looked about the bar, her action bringing far more reaction than she anticipated; narrowing her eyes she pushed the hammer of her revolver back forwards disengaging it from firing position. Slowly sliding it back into the leather holster on her right hip looking down as she did for a slight moment, her eyes coming up along with a closed fist aimed straight for the shouting Indians right jaw. A surprising amount of power packed behind a woman of her size, throwing the blow from her shoulder with a slight twist of her forearm to add impact force; the amount of power in combination with the whiskey she drank giving her a slight stumble as she swung. A small brass case flying from her vest pocket and tumbling across the floor loudly, a chain attached to the end dragging as it did so; figuring a brawl was less likely to end with her being shot dead by any of the interrupters. Not that she was necessarily worried about it killing a white woman for attacking an Indian? Not a smart play in any part of the country.

@bluetommy2

Ill be posting today.
DONE

So first things first, I'll answer the questions and queries you guys have left me, and then I'll start reading through peoples' ideas.I'm crazy short on time today though (I just had to work a 12 hour shift, and then woke up with 2 hours before the start of my next! oups!). Given the influx of players, it might need to wait until Saturday morning before everyone's applications get some feedback. However, I will try to do some when I get home tonight, and some tomorrow morning as well. This RP has my full and undivided attention, and I will strive to get everything done and dusted before the weekend if it's possible.

Anyways, without further ado!

@vietmyke If nothings changed, you can go ahead and move it over! :)

@Disciple Cain That's fair enough. Sad to lose you, but I fully understand the reasons why.

@Pathfinder Yupyup. Welcome aboard.

@Dead Cruiser I'd modify your regimental sheet into several shorthand versions. You wont need the history section for each contingent, just the numbers, weapons, abilities etc etc. If you get stuck, I'll throw up an example, but time's a little short for me atm.

I'll get to your champion when I get a minute.

@Klomster A single Champion on a great dragon in place of a regiment should be fine, I can't see it breaking things. I'll have to decide upon publication though.I'd imagine this dragon would be fairly powerful, capable of igniting the ground beneath it. A truly terrifying adversary! But i'll need to see him/her in more detail just in case I need to tone it down a bit.

@CorpusMundum Yah, I'll get to your guys ASAP.

@Vas Khaleen Muskets would be fine. I was myself thinking of a group of Dwarf gunners who used imbued-ammunition, like Frost or Lightning. I would like to put restrictions on how high tech can go, but I think it'll be easier for me to simply decide on a case by case basis rather than stifle creative potential with vague and wide ranging rules.

If you're going to venture into guns or crude mechanics, just ensure it's fit for a fantasy setting where the sword and magic are the mainstay of the world's armies.

<Snipped quote by Dead Cruiser>

A good question, and one I was hoping you guys wouldn't touch on! Hehe.

So, Camp Followers, let's call 'em. Usually armies would carry around a bunch of people with them; soldiers' wives, tradesmen, goods peddlers, brothels, assistants and attendants.

Given the nature of the mission, and that the invading forces are trying to keep as slim as possible (to better avoid detection on their initial landing), the Camp Followers would only exist as an absolute necessity. For example, a few smiths to pull out the dents in your troops' armour, or a small group of surgeons/healers who will deal with the most grievously wounded.

So I think it would be best to simply treat them as ghosts. They're there, in the back somewhere, but don't show up until your Champion/Captain decides his men need to refit and rearm.

Of course, this wouldn't effect regiments that were self sufficient i.e able to carry out repairs and healing by themselves.

Awesome ill get to work right away.
This is still open correct?
Whats the technological level like weapon wise?

Would muskets be out of place?
Maygen walked beneath a thick canopy of trees, the twisting branches overhead casting dark shadows in combination with the leaves; her armor shifting with each step and making slight clanking noises in spite of the rags she had stuffed beneath the hard metal to reduce contact. She had left the visor of the reddish black helm lifted upwards, locked in place by a simple notch in the steel allowing her to have a full field of vision as having the visor shut considerably lowered a persons sight; the tri-headed dragon rising from her crest roaring with all their maws open. A powerful longsword slung over her shoulder by a leather strap loop, the sword massive at just over five and a half feet long with a three inch wide blade, its hilt bound in fine black leather; baring both a crossbar and ring guards its pommel coming to a dull point for added blunt damage in close quarters. The swords sheath was simple in design, made from oak wood and bound in crimson leather the sigil of House Yarwyck stamped in the center of the case; a roaring giant breaking free from chains on its hands and feet.

As she trudged through the forest the knight took in all the sights around her, not at all fatigued by her endless march having done it countless times in far worse conditions before headed to much less desirable happenings; her armored boots left light footprints in the ground and audibly thudded against rocks. As Maygen continued through the forest she spied the Glade from some distance off, figuring it had to be the location the representative of the Queen had told her about, the presence of the strange group of assorted warriors and mages only confirming her suspicion as she neared being sure to make quite a bit of noise as to not startle anyone. As she walked into the glade the knight raised her right hand in greeting, stopping several feet from the group initially; raising her voice to speak. She was a rather well known knight in Andred and wondered if any of the group might recognize her, having led the Kings Vanguard into battle on several occasions, not spotting any of the Royal Armies typical opponents amongst the group.

"Seven blessings, my name is Dame.Maygen Yarwyck. I was contacted by a representative of the Queen I assume you all are part of that as well?"

She kept her primary goal however to herself, which was of course to map out the southlands for King Connrad; having already been told to keep the mission to herself lest it get back to the other King and Queendoms.
