I should be catching up on things this weekend. I'm also looking for a partner for two if anyone wants to work something out!

I'm at 21 years, but I'm not *that* old despite feeling like I am absolutely archaic. Writing is a hobby regardless of age.

This pneumonia is hanging on and I'm not doing well with it. Sorry for the long delay, partners.

Bio
Welcome, welcome!
The short and sweet: I'm an old lady in my thirties, so I ask my partners be 18+. A veteran of many years of writing - I started way back in the days of wolf packs on AOL. Female and pansexual; I write with any and all genders - recently, I'm delving into attempting to write male roles. Dog mom and outdoor enthusiast; medical professional, volunteer firefighter, first responder, and wildlife rehabilitator.
I'm a fairly open book that has written just about everything at some point or another. I tend to write decent to long posts, play female characters (attempting to round that out), and I'm amenable to most ideas. I love slice of life, historical, fantasy, and apocalyptic adventures.
World building is fun, but so is quick play. I have a few partners that go back with me for years that I've built entire worlds and multiple generations with.
I tend to have "flawed" characters; perfection is boring, character development is not. Learning to work through their flaws, or overcome fears, is a driving point to play for me. Some of them have profiles, some of them do not. Preferences are for the dark, gritty, and rough - I don't go for fairy tales because everything being perfect would be boring.
This will keep growing with time, but feel free to PM with any questions or ideas you have in mind! I prefer one on one, but a good group might be able to catch my eye. It's been literally a decade since I wrote in a group because of a mixture of work, mental health, and obligations outside of the online world.
Pale eyes watched him as he tried to move, surprised that he was willing to do such a feat while in such a vulnerable state. Even still, he was trying to get closer to her and she responded in kind by quietly coming forward a bit more as her Pumas scuffed on the floor. For a moment, Celeste thought about standing and leaving the room - this was dangerous, getting close to him. At the same time, the large man couldn't hurt her in his current state... but his voice could bring her comfort. That was, until he spoke about having a hand to hold. Quietly, the nurse regarded the hand closer to her.
Without truly knowing it, she had responded in kind by reaching out the hand closest to his own as she had the first time they had spoken. This time, as his cast-clad fingers no doubt tried to close around her own, a tiny smile dared to play on her lips. Exhaustion written all over her features, her face softened a bit in relaxation at the touch of another person that wasn't in a clinical setting. While the professional in her certainly wanted to pull away, she couldn't bear to. Not yet.
"Thank you," was murmured after a moment. "I don't think I really have it in me to talk, if that's okay. I just kind of want to drink coffee and listen to the TV."
True to her word, Celeste let herself relax in that chair - and with the lack of sleep over the last few weeks, it didn't take long for her head to twist and rest on the back. Before she had even known it, her breathing had deepened until she was outright asleep.
Once she had been allowed in, her steps had been almost timid and quiet, though she had spent more time worrying about the straw in his coffee than about the bruises around her fair throat. Instead, she had finally sunk down to sit when he spoke, asking the question that had brought her pale eyes up for the first time since she had entered his private room.
It was his advice that seemed to calm her anxiety a bit, her features going from mechanical to a bit more genuine as she managed a nod, her coffee placed down as she leaned forward and let Jason take a drink first.
"I guess I should have thought about what you guys are trained to do. It was stupid and dangerous of me," came her words, though they certainly weren't very calming or confident in herself. "But next time, I'll try to remember to tuck my chin down."
Sitting back into her chair once more, a deep breath was taken as she realized that her heartbeat was slowing and calming in the uncomfortable arm chair, at least for now. Her legs didn't cross, remaining a bit spread with her elbows on her knees.
A half-laugh was managed, but the nurse sounded exhausted. "I don't know why I came here. I guess... I just felt like I needed to not be alone, I guess. I can leave, if you want."
