@LostDestiny When it comes to magic in Golem's Hand it's regarded as a tool to enhance the abilities of the wizard. The reason Takeover magic doesn't fit with Golem's philosophy is that it's a magic that gives the user abilities they don't naturally have.

Some examples to give you a better understanding.

A mage who uses bow magic. The mage isn't dangerous because of the magic he employs but because of his skill as a marksman. While he may use different bows with different affects, ultimately without those special powers he's still threat.

Basically, Golem expects their wizards to not be wholly dependent on magic to fight, whether that takes form in hand-to-hand combat skill, strategic fighting, or even just being knowledge in certain fields that can turn a fight in your favor.

Another example is a character we had the last go around of this RP. She used Plant Magic. At first I was skeptical about allowing her into Golem's Hand but reading over the CS I found what made her fit. The characters personality described her as a plant lover and her history gave her a deep knowledge about all sorts of plant life. With that in mind it's no longer the magic makes her a threat but her knowledge of the things she could summon with that magic. Plant life that act in different ways with different effects. With the knowledge she gained from her love of plants she makes her magic more powerful.

As I've said, the wizard should power the magic not the magic powering the wizard.

So in the end it comes down to the magic you choose and how the character adds to it. Hope this helps.

Still some stuff to flesh out but at least you know your guild masters personalities and magic.
I'm currently filling out the Guild Master's sheets so look forward to reading about Matriarch of Harpy's Wing and the Commander of Golem's Hand~
@Cardamonelaw The OOC is already open. Your welcome to come over and submit a CS. http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/155573-the-sky-and-the-earth-fairy-tail-rp/ooc
@Masaki Haruna I think the name says it all XD
@Masaki Haruna Your saying a lot of things I'm not familiar with XD I need to start catching up with the manga myself but we won't be using anything from the canon storywise. This an AU pretty much.
@Legion02 Even so, Swords magic does allow the user to manipulate blades in the way you've described. And Spirit Lord sounds pretty solid to me so go ahead with it.

@Masaki Haruna Alright, I guess she's good to go.

@Kal-El Okay, first pull back heavily on the descriptions. There's a lot of fluff in there that is irrelevant to what we need to know about the magic and makes it hard to fish out the pertinent info. We don't need the "science" of how they work. It's magic. Just tell us what it does. How it looks when being used is something you can describe in-game. Second, out of what we could tell, Destruction is an unavoidable, unlimited ranged incredibly powerful magic that can't be countered unless you know how to counter it. That's not acceptable. Just saying it's easy to deflect (if you know how to) is not balancing anything. You're gonna have to nerf that hard. Fortification is fine for the most part but making the user nearly invulnerable is a definite no go. No using the fortification on himself. The overall problem I'm seeing here is this: you're trying to make your character both an immovable object and an unstoppable force in one. Neither is okay and both is not even worth considering. You also described him as some tactical battle prodigy/genius. Throw that on top of everything else and he's clearly OP. And honestly, he seems be a copy of Guildarts really. The ultra powerful S-Class mentor/big brother/dad-like mage. I don't want to say a complete overhaul is necessary but you have to balance this guy out better.
@Legion02 I'm finding it hard to find a difference between your blade magic and Requip. I don't mind the way you wanna use it, makes sense given him being so average compared to his brothers that wielding massive bulky swords is out of his strength range and he may not have the magical understanding to wield more powerful magic blades. Just think you can just have it be his way of using Requip. And I would like a little more explanation as to what Reaper Magic is. You only talk about the scythe and transformation but no particular spells he's able to use in or out of the transformation.

@Masaki Haruna One issue I have is that I find it hard to believe that she managed to become a famous writer able to earn living at only 10 years old. You could have her be like Lucy writing one book chronicling her adventures over the years as she searches for her dragon.

@Kal-El I'm quite curious as to what you have planned given you made him the Guild Masters relative. In the meantime I'm gonna have to get a second opinion regarding his magic from my Co-GM's.

@pkken Once all current CS's are approved we can get started.
Yaaawn...Good morning everyone. *Puts on GM hat* Alright, let's do this!
@LostDestiny She's all set!
