Yeah, I'll most likely be posting this weekend
I'm gone for two days, and shit hits the fan.

Who dafuq gave people permission to tackle Wyn?
Wyn doesn't play around does she? Lol talk about heads rolling.

In hindsight, I should've had her toss out some quips and insults. But, admittedly, I was kinda out of it. So, I was more focused on just putting something out to keep things moving.
Not the most detailed writing, but let's hope this helps

Ladies & Gentlemen: Please rise for the anthem of Boston!

There was no time to ponder the chaos and carnage.

Wyn reached out, her hand alight with darkened, sanguine aura of blood magic. The Varjan soldier cornering the man and his child quickly found himself walking backwards. Then, he was jostled back, away from the man, and towards Wyndressa. Corpse Maker flashed in a silver arc, and the bisected halves of the Varjan flew passed, rolling on the ground.

Just as quickly, Wyn used her finger to scribe enchantments with the blood. With a crackle, her blade was alit with lightning. She Shadowstepped into the fray, clocking one over the helm, striking him with a jolt of lightning, before the point found another's neck. Wyn used the motion of yanking the blade out to load up a wrath cut that relieved the first man of his head.

Before their bodies fell, Wyn drew the blood spraying from their wounds, shaping them into daggers, and casting them other the other soldiers. Tapping her foot to the rhythm only she could hear; Wyn cocked her sword back, dashed forward. She was a blur, following the motion of a cut into a spinning kick, into a parry into a chop, into a thrust, into a punch, into blasting someone with a curse, throwing off another's timing before taking his head and kicking it at the cursed bastard.

@AzureKnight@Hammerman

"Try to make a wedge!" She shouted to her companions. "Keep these Varjan focks away from the villagers!"
Yeah, many of the villager have already fallen to the Varjan assaulters. It's best just to deal with the forces in front of us, but also save whatever innocents we can in the process.

@WanderingDragon
Also, if you're in need of bloodied weapons, Hinami should be able to fulfill that request quite easily. She can keep summoning various weapons thanks to the sigils her sister etched into her hands. She's quite capable with them to boot.

You know what? Wyndressa can just combine her magicks to blast away the attackers. I think I was overthinking things trying to be tactical. But, good to know.

Lunatea can put out the fires with her water magic.

Good, but keep that on the shelf unless its necessary.

Uh Sam can, throw...a Snowball at one of the brigands.

Which was why I had Wyn try to usher him towards the stealth group. I figured Sam would fair better there... Which I should've spoken to you about first, in hindsight....

Shit
@Dark Cloud

Well, I'm looking at the big picture. Obviously one of us can go save that guy. But, what about the rest of the village?
Okay, time for Wyn to finally take some heads.

I do need to wait until tomorrow to post.

What I'm thinking is to have Wyn and her task force try to establish a sort of wedge between the invaders and the villagers to give the latter space to flee.

Wyn's bloodbending should provide her an effective means of crowd control, but she'll need a lot of it to make that work. She can affect multiple targets with her curses (except for The Brand), but that would take too much time. Actually, as I think about it, I just thought of a trick involving the bloodbending, if there're enough bloodied weapons to work with.

On, the other hand, @AzureKnight@Hammerman@Dark Cloud, what're your thoughts?
Okay, I'm getting thrown here. What's @Dark Cloud@Hammerman@Restalaan doing?

The beginning of the voyage saw Wyndressa bundled in blankets, secured in sheets, wrapped in rolls, until she'd cocooned herself. And like a cocoon; Wyn slowly emerged and fixed herself up.

@Rune_Alchemist

The first thing she took note of, was that slice of cake on what would count for a nightstand. Poking it revealed its... Unusual nature. Thus, Wyn had a perfect metaphor for Shoggoths: They look good, and partaking of them would be nothing but pleasure... In the moment. But, when pleasure left, there would only be regret. So, it was left alone.

She did make a point of trying to make small talk with the others on the ship... First by apologizing for what came out during her half-sleeping stupor.

@Noblebandit

Yes, that included angel boy. The uniform of Eros made her feel all the more stupid. Yet his demeanor was... Off. Did her threat to sew his mouth shut really put him off that much? She'd have to find another way to make amends.

@Restalaan

And now an Orc was among them, too. A male Orc at that. By this point, this had stopped being a surprise, no more pleasant. Some of her relatives was part Orc. No Chimera Clan gettogether would be complete without a fight breaking out between one of cousins, and her sister, Berasa

Thankfully it was nightfall when they made landfall. And they had walked into the beginnings of a war.

For the time being, Wyn only had eyes for the beach. The atrocities committed by the Varjan empire had been too many to list. Wyn's "father", Victoria, hell, even her "Grandfather", and her "father" before her had stories of their encounters with the Varjans. The heads they'd taken had a place in the estate's trophy room, right alongside some of the most vicious monsters Chimera huntresses had slain.

Somewhere down there, whether on one of those ships, or even in the battlefield, Hilda was down there. At least, Wyn hoped she wasn't.

“Wyndressa, Lunatea, Samael, Skarsneek, Hinami, and Cambiel. You’ll be intercepting the Varjan squad heading towards the village. Defend them at all costs, and buy the villagers time to escape. Wyndressa, you’re on point!” He said as he pointed in the direction of Sanjo Town.
AzureKnight

Wyn could have pinched herself. But, there was no time to argue; between his team descending the hill -But, not without Atsuha handing something off to Lunatea, and the other force heading right to a village of fucking civilians!

"Right, then!" Wyn announced,

@Hammerman
"Luna, Hinami: Two stick together, then! Hinami, you cover the bunny, and Luna you keep that magic paper on 'er 'ead!"

"Wynn right? I'll snag them from the dark." He quickly explained his plan, since the darkness will be to his advantage. He then turned to the rest and gestured for them to head for the village instead. "You all should warn them. The ones that look close to a human, they'll trust you more."
Restalaan

"Well good, ye' read me mind!" Wyn snorted.

”And leave you to face them alone? Not likely!” the angel scoffed. ”I’m coming with you. We can slow them down more if there are two of us. And besides, maybe seeing me might show them they’re on the wrong side”
Noblebandit

Isn't it lovely when your underlings do the thinking for you?

"Good! You two don't get killed on ye' honeymoon!" She teased.

That just left the bunny, the jiangshi, and the demon boy.

"Well, first thing's first, we got's to find whoever's in charge and get'em to 'elp us get those villagers outta there!"

"Hey wait for me!"
Dark Cloud

Then a thought occurred. "Wait, 'old up!" Wyndressa bade the demon boy. "Don't think ye' got the right gear to handle 'em cunts wit' just the butter knife! You'll probably do better if ya' go wit' 'em other two!"

Which would mean it'd just be her, the other two girls, and whatever the village could spare. But, the point wasn't to fight, so much as help them escape. Once the villagers were clear, Wyn could worry about the Varjan forces. If she couldn't beat some answers out of the bastards, she'd at least be able to vent some righteous outrage on them.

Their blood should keep her strong enough for the fight.
