I share the same initial issues, but don't see him needing to be a tie-in. Also because most slag/resources is being re-routed to Ta-Congro recently. Rutau's supplier of ore/metal would either be from Fa-Congro, Onu-Congro, or Ba-Congro.

What about using a Japanese city that hasn't been already featured in the anime? Like Osaka? Though a previously used city would be fun for making references. Even Kyoto would be fun, and was referenced before in 02 about being a location where the lines between the two worlds sometimes get blurred.

Or does it have to be Japanese at all? What about a group of European Digidestined?

I pretty much think it could be anywhere for that matter, I'm all for diversifying the landscape if there are any cities or such that feel good for the setting.

edit: For all that apply, I'v also decided that, at the Rookie stage, we wont be using the virus as a plot device. You made a good point that this will be a chance to bring character to our Digimon first, and having them infected right from the get-go would deprive that character of that chance. When we start getting into Digivolution, then the virus will come into effect.

It seems that the virus could have either infected them after they became child, the digivolution of digivice triggers or accelerating it it or just the package Data volume of the digimon exceed a critical point when digivolving to adult again, triggering it or maybe just accelerating it.

MacGyver or Deus ex machina?

Surely that's a character but (not that I have any room to say) it seems just a little bland and short of personality.

There could also be the possibility of to tie your and my characters together (mine being a Smith and your the supplier(at least as one idea)).
If we plan to tie them together, I can both get you in the loop in the story in my next post (and that'd not even be all out of the blue though) We can take this to the PM if it needs further discussion (as to not clog up the ooc)

Uh, where do we post character sheets? I've seen them in the character tab, but uh... Well, all the RPs I've been in require them to be in the OOC tab first. Then, if the GM approves, they're moved to the character tab.

That's how the Apply stuff usually works, my first reaction was along the lines of "People seem to PM them to the GM to keep OOC clean" but it seems (No accusations) there are people who put it straight in to the Char section.

I would actually expect this behavior in the Drop-in type of RPs.

Would a Shield count as a weapon in terms of avatar? just pushing him along for now.

Question for everyone, should this take place in Tokyo? If not where else? Just throw ideas out i guess.

I'm pretty much indifferent for the city this RP will be placed in but as you asked to throw out ideas I'll just tell you some places already used in Digimon (pretty much tokyo though). Digimon tamers featured Shinjuku, Data squad featured Yokohama, Adventure seasons featured Odaiba. just to get some out there.

Also, i'v not made an RP thread before? Are there any specifics i should know before i go posting a thread? (i'v seen tabs on many other threads at the top of all the posts for OCC, IC, all that stuff, and i'm not sure if i have to do that or not?)

Digital vs reality which version is your reality?

If I end up joining the next weekend (or if I'd join earlier that's when I'd probably start picking up to RPing) What are the limitations with avatars? (Though I would believe it's only human and other considerably close (like elfs) and nothing as crazy as Centaurs)
