There once was a fox, who collected souvenirs from near and far. The fox kept their collection stored in a pocket dimension that looked like a mimic chest. However, one of those souvenirs was more than what it seemed. It was in fact, a mimic souvenir. This small mimic souvenir resembled a singing mermaid that would lick skulls clean with their six forked tongues that molt preposterously acidic jewels. With these jewels, the mimic souvenir was rumoured to be the most powerful souvenir of all.

Until one day, the fox had an unexpected visit from his mother. She said, "wassup son, y’all look bummed out” whilst placing a freshly baked pigeon pie on the kitchen table.

The fox sighed. "My mimic chest is missing." He confined in his mother, someone had eloped with it, leaving behind only a single strand of blue hair.

His mother looked perturbed at the news, and she reached into her pocket for something. "Son, it's time you knew that a sorcerer Wyvern has been around, and left behind them a map.”

"A sorcerer...and... a map?" The fox was both shocked and curious. What was the map for? And what did Wyvern want with...

Rosalind wasn't sure how she came to care for the King so quickly, but she had. She was a caring person, and she hated to see someone in pain. Hated to see suffering and instability. She had witnessed Alexander in those stages, earlier on. Though they were practically strangers, she couldn't help but fear for him, worry about him and his recovery. Which is why she had been pleading with him to listen to his servants. After all, they all wanted to see him recover. Wanted what was best for him. She could only hope, that the chaos would soon die down. Giving Alexander a gentle smile, hoping that he would feel some sort of reassurance, as he finally seemed to settle against the cot. Sighing softly, she hoped that the period of rest for him, would last a little while before he'd attempt to do anything. Hopefully nothing too chaotic and rash. Or it could make him feel much worse, than he already felt earlier on. "Just rest, My lord." Rosalind spoke softly, as he whispered out her title once more.

She could tell that the King somehow been distracted, from the chaos of the shadows and the culprit being found by the shadows. Was it her mere presence? Unsure of what kept him distracted. But soon enough, the situation had his attention.

The guards were surprised, that she had still worked in the castle after what had happened. It wasn't often that their King had given someone a second chance like that. They kept a tight grip on the struggling servant. Waiting for their King's orders on what to do with her. "Yes, my Lord." The guards nodded in unison, as they turned around sharply with the traitor. Dragging her towards her the prison towers, so she could face further punishments and investigation. As they dragged her off, she was still kicking up a fuss and trying to free herself from their strong grip.

The only thing that everyone heard was her scream of annoyance. "You will regret this, and you will all pay!" Clearly still furious with the entire situation. Her eyes shot a glare in the King's direction; but also aimed towards the Princess Rosalind. Her jealousy slowly getting to her more and more. But no one could suffer anymore, with her getting caught. It wasn't long before the guards had reached one of the prison towers, forcing her inside one of the cells. With a rough shove...she fell inside of the cell. Hearing the cell door close sharply behind her, and locked. Leaving her to suffer in the darkness and silence. As no one was within the castle halls. She was left alone before the investigation would begin.

"Are you sure, that is wise sire?" One of the servants asked in their surprise. "She might still pose a threat, in exile if she tries to get free." Speaking cautiously, but bringing up a very good point. There was nothing to stop the servant from escaping exile and trying to cause chaos once more; if exile would end up being her punishment. They wanted to avoid this from happening again. Only looking out for the best interest of their ruler and King. Never had anyone seen the King like this. Something in him had visibly changed. And in such a short period of time. But what? They had yet to find that out.

Rosalind heard Alexander's apology. Sighing softly herself. "It isn't your fault, Alexander." For the first time, using his first name than any title. Even Rosalind herself was surprised, that he wanted to put the traitor into exile. Most Kings, would have had her on the chopping block, by now. But Exile seemed like a nicer punishment. Even with the possibility of the traitor escaping exile. The shadows seemed to calm down with the traitor dragged off to the prison cell. Rosalind's own shadow returned to the Princess. Settling close to Alexander's shadow. Almost in an embrace. But keeping close to the King's shadow, with only the cots keeping the pair apart. "I am just sorry for all this chaos, and that you got hurt. No one deserves to be put in such a situation." Rosalind spoke softly. Hoping that Alexander's recovery would be well and quick. The night had certainly taken an interesting turn. One that no one was expecting. Rosalind tried not to think on the traitors threatening words. As somehow, it felt aimed towards her for some reason. But why? They never met before.
@Jones Sparrow My reply is up :) hope you enjoy something new to read over the week-end
Feeling the exhaustion of her lack of sleep, her eyes eventually closed and Valerie found herself in a slumber. Her mind still running through various thoughts and situations about going to the Lakehouse. Part of her was telling her to go to the old hang-out spot. But another part of her was resisting and feeling sceptical about it. Unsure if going to the lake house would be a good idea. It wouldn't feel the same...for many reasons. Would everyone end up depressed? Thinking of old memories, when life felt so much simpler? When the gang was complete? Valerie couldn't imagine of feeling that same old comfort at the lake house with Austin gone. Knowing that if he was still alive, that he would try and convince her to come along, to enjoy a week-end of bonding and 'fun'. Like the good old days. Was she over-thinking things? It was possible that she was. Something that Val was known to do so. No doubt Jimmy and Leigh would somehow try and convince her too; if the pair were up for it.

The next morning, Valerie was woken up with the sound of her phone ringing. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she stretched out on her bed with a light yawn. Picking up the phone, she answered when she saw Ryleigh's name on the caller Id. "You picked an interesting time to call Leigh." It was still fairly early. And Val hadn't realised how tired she truly felt, until she got some sleep. "What's up?" Propping herself up on her bed, she leaned against the pillows.

Ryleigh on the other hand sounded more awake, than the brunette. The blonde was always an earlier riser and had a habit of waking the rest up; even as kids when they spent time at the lake-house. "Jimmy is hosting a little get-together at the bar. There will be burgers, apparently." She told Valerie. Not sure if she should mention the fact that Raymond was coming or not. Honestly, Leigh was surprised when Jimmy mentioned that Ray was back. Not sure that anyone of them would be prepared for his return to Rhodes. But if she mentioned Ray's name, chances were that Valerie would be reluctant to show up. But it was clear that Austin's death had brought back their former member back home. Austin had impacted on everyone's lives; not just the group of friends. But the whole town. Everyone would miss him.

Making a slight face, at the mention of Burgers. Valerie knew how Jimmy's cooking skills were. So the thought scared her a little bit; either the place would burn down, or they'd end up with food poisoning. "Let's hope, he's not the one cooking them." Val joked. Glancing towards the clock on the wall, she then spoke again into the phone "What time is it? I suppose, I can spare an hour or two." Her day was looking pretty free of commitments otherwise. So it's not like going to the bar would be a bad thing. "Why did Jimmy plan the sudden get-together anyways?" There it was, the question that Leigh had been dreading to hear. As Valerie had a way of getting information out of people, to a degree. Hearing the weird awkward silence on the other line, Val furrowed her brows slightly. "Leigh? What's going on?" Clearly something didn't feel right about her friends radio silence. She could tell that something was up. It was clear as day.

"Urgh......Raymond's back in town." Ryleigh told Valerie. "I wasn't sure, that I should tell you. But Jimmy thought it'd be a nice surprise for him, to see us all."

Swallowing at the mention of Raymond, Valerie shook her head slightly. "If he wanted to see us, he would have kept in touch. Or visited at least once." Val wasn't so sure that Ray would even want to see her, of all people. Or maybe she was the one, that wasn't ready to face Raymond after 10 years. 10 years of guilt, and trying to forget about the pain that came with him leaving Rhodes. Valerie's comment however caused a heated discussion between the two girls over the phone. Ryleigh hated to admit that Valerie had a good point; despite always being bitter towards her after Raymond had left. The chances that anyone forgot, what happened 10 years ago was very slim indeed. So it took a while for Valerie to feel even close to being convinced about going to Jimmy's bar. But eventually she gave in. Wishing that Austin was still here, to keep everything from falling apart once they'd all be in the same room together. But she was a big girl; she had to face Raymond eventually. The sooner the better.

Later that day:

Standing in front of the mirror, Valerie sighed as she glanced at herself. Debating if she should just forget about going to the bar, as she felt the nerves starting to settle in. But the truth was, she couldn't avoid seeing Ray forever. She would see him at the funeral and at the lake-house if everyone decided to go. So best get the awkwardness out of the way. She kept her brown locks loose, but had a small scrunchie in her bag; like always in case she needed to pull her hair up. Valerie didn't want to seem like she was making massive effort to look nice for anyone's benefit. So she opted for something safe; jeans and a top that was comfortable. Along with a pair of boots. She then made her way to Jimmy's bar. The journey not taking her too long, considering she lived close by anyways. It was a 15 minute walk, at most.

Out of the girls, she was the last to arrive; already hearing Jimmy and Leigh laughing about something. Along with smelling the burgers cooking. "I hope you're not burning anything." Val teased Jim, as she announced her arrival. Giving the pair a soft, albeit a nervous smile.

Leigh had arrived few moments prior to Valerie, her blonde hair resting over her shoulders. Like Val, she was dressed casually; Jeans with a top. Nothing too fancy. Ryleigh was never one for fancy outfits; the fanciest she had ever been, was during prom with her dress. Giving Val a slight smile. Still feeling bit awkward after their phone conversation earlier that morning. Hopefully, they can put it past them. Right? "Anyone feel like having a drink, for the nerves?" All they had to do, was wait for Ray to arrive and see how things would unfold.
@Fetzen My Reply is finally up :) hope you enjoy
Amara

Not quite sure what she had been expecting Mr Reinhart to look like; but either way the man was rather intimidating. Especially the way he sized her up; as if she was trespassing. Swallowing, she shifted her weight between her feet. It seemed like he did not realise, that she was needed. Had he been expecting another soldier? A male perhaps? Amara knew that she didn't fit into the fighter category. She was far from a fighter like the next female that lived within the capitol. Not exactly a pleasant greeting. Amara could say that much. But the young woman certainly had other skills of importance that would benefit the task ahead. "My name is Amara sir. Amara Crellin. I believe, that I have been requested here, for a meeting of importance." She explained politely. That she indeed was here for a reason, and not trespassing.

Before she could say something else to the large man, another voice interrupted the moment. Glancing towards the younger male that had spoken. Seems like her chosen companion had came to the rescue. His timing, indeed was good. Saving her from possibly getting yelled at by Mr Reinhart.

Sighing in relief, Amara nodded. "Yes, I have been on the look-out for you." She spoke with a soft smile. "I am sorry if I kept you waiting. As I was trying to explain to Mr Reinhart, the weather made my journey bit longer than expected." Unlike Amara, he had a bit of a strong and toned build, fit enough for a warrior. But she did not want to make presumptions. For he might not be. Despite the fact that he looked like he was able of being one. If her future companion had not shown himself, at such a time. Amara would have struggled to explain her sudden appearance to Mr Reinhart...especially when the guards were training. But Valentin looked out of place, like she did did.

Looking around them, it felt bit awkward with the shouts and yells from the guards on the training grounds around them. "Is there a more appropriate, place that we can talk?" The blonde questioned. Not wanting anyone to overhear anything of importance, if they happened to be eavesdropping for one reason or another. Glancing between Valentin and Mr Reinhart, in hopes that one of them might know a more convenient place for talking.

As Alexander kept trying to reach for her, Rosalind wasn't sure that it was such a wise idea for him to keep straining himself in such ways. Even if she was glad to see, that he was okay despite the chaos that was going on around them. "Please rest, your majesty. Rosalind spoke softly, as he used her title. Just like his servants and guards, she cared for his well-being. If he was still in a vulnerable and unstable state like he had been inside of the castle walls; than he needed all the rest that he could get. Hoping that her words would encourage him to do so. Giving him a soft smile, to assure him that she was right there. "I must rest myself, after the whole ordeal. It would be unwise, to strain one self after what had happened." Seeing the sense, in the situation. They were safe out here, hopefully. Wanting him to recover, she hoped he would take her advice.

"My Lord." She spoke in a soothing voice. Her hand briefly reached for his, offering him some comfort with a gentle hand squeeze. Her hand falling from his, as she reached up to rub her own temple. Feeling a slight throbbing pain from getting knocked away earlier. The pain settling in a form of a throbbing head-ache. An ache, she'd have to deal with for now.

Leaning back against the cot, Rosalind tried to rest; hoping that the dull ache would subside sooner rather than later. But after noticing the culprit being shown by the shadows; the former servant stood out like a sore thumb amongst everyone. It seemed like the guards had picked up on it too. Pointing her out to Alexander. She could see the clogs ticking, as he tried to see whom was responsible for all of this. Responsible for making him unstable and causing sheer amount of chaos. Wondering why the mystery woman had wanted to hurt him. But it was bits of past; she was not aware off. To Rosalind, someone was simply acting out of cruelty.

Seeing the former servant try to flee, Rosalind flinched at the uncomfortable angry roar that escaped Alexander. Not sure that it was ultimately deserved; as it was safer for the guards to help and handle this. Than for him to, when he was in such a state. "They are just doing their job. Let them help." Rosalind sighed, trying to reason with the King. Not sure if her words would be listened to...or of much help. But she tried. It was the least she could do.

As the guards pursued the former servant, so did the shadows. Attempting her from fleeing too far. They could not afford to loose the culprit, that caused this unrest in the Kingdom. Rosalind's own shadow seemed to be hot at the culprits feet. Swooping under the former servant, causing the former servant to trip in her escape. Giving the guards enough time to catch her. Guards took advantage of the shadows helping them; catching the servant as she fell to the ground. Yanking her up back to her feet harshly. "Gotcha...can't run now!" The guards restrained her. Pulling her back towards their King; so she could face her punishment. Once they reached Alexander, one of the guards forced the former servant onto her knees harshly. Keeping her from running away once more. "We have caught her, my Lord." The guards informed Alexander. Wondering what their King would do with her now; for she should have been gone out of the Kingdom a long time ago, when Alexander got rid of her position in the castle. But somehow, she went unnoticed for a time, not truly leaving the Kingdom. But the former servant would not be so lucky this time, as to get away from punishment.

"Let go off me!" The woman hissed, struggling in their grip. The former servant wanting to get free of the guards hold, but it was no use. They were stronger than her.
