Swashbuckling Musketeers

I will be completely open in the fact that I don't have any central plot line or even goal for a role play; however, I am really looking to see if there are people interested in some type of role play that takes us back to the romantic times of pirates and musketeers. Where kings and queens deal with politics and sex as guards deal with espionage and honor.

Anyone have any thoughts on a role play that could work I would love to start a conversation.

Myself and @Avanhelsing were going to do a collaborative post where our characters both meet and go for a run in the morning. Does that fit for your plans?

@shamrocknroll - Please tell me if I am reading the posts wrong but I think @SpicyMeatball was pulling out her weapons while alone in her room. This means you might need to edit your post as it seems to read as if your character is in her dorm room with her while she is unpacking.

Again if I am misreading then I am very sorry, but it did confuse me as I am trying to write up a summery of everything for me to keep the role play straight.

Everybody trying to one up their characters over other people's. It seems to be a problem on another site I'm on.

Apologies for not really interacting with anyone. I am not sure if I was going to be able to post again this weekend so I wanted to close up my character so it didn't leave anyone hanging

I am assuming there will be a sort of jump to morning post correct or will there be a larger time skip to a few days into school?

Nodding along to the answers to his question Devin was rather disappointed in what he heard. It seemed most of his fellow students were in the same boat as him. Plenty of other questions ran through his head; however, with no one showing any real knowledge he left it. Another student came in and everyone again did their best to introduce themselves. Devin gave a nod as one of the other students gave his name to the new comer.

Turning his back to the team Devin heard his watch beep. Looking down he saw that it was already past 7. He silenced the alarm and turned his attention to the top ramen on the stove. Now cooked and ready to eat he grabbed a few bowls and got the spice packets ready. He then doled out three servings for himself, Kat, and Nikki. "Best 50 cents can buy." He said handing them their share. "It was nice meeting everyone, but right now I'm going to go back to my room. I still have plenty of unpacking to do." He was polite to everyone and gave a friendly nod to Nikki and Kat.

Making his way back to his room he set his ramen down on top of his dresser. Moving to his messenger bag he pulled from the hidden compartment a small tablet. He then turned on his rooms wall mounted TV and set it to a music station. He smiled as Moby's 'Extreme Ways' started to play. When Devin's watch started to beep again he muted it while then turning the tablet on.

After it booted up the screen started to show a call coming. Devin picked it up and listened as a familiar robotic voice began the conversation. "I hope you are enjoying your view Poseidon." There were several clicks afterwards. Likely the result of some sort of software for high level encryption and voice masking.

"A view of the ocean is fitting I guess." Devin said in a cold tone. "I already checked in for the day. Why did you call?" He was uneasy, but Devin had learned that while his family knew how to read him few others did. His learning curve for spy craft was faster than most.

"I would think so." CLICK CLICK CLICK the call went with the voice. "You will be receiving their dossiers momentarily. I would recommend you familiarize yourself with everything we were able to gather. None of those working against us made it easy to gather."CLICK CLICK CLICK

Devin wanted to toss the tablet out of the room, but that wasn't an option. "Understood Anyplace." He replied. He then hung up the scrambled call, not even waiting to hear the infernal clicks. Tossing the tablet on the bed he heard it start to beep as it began to receive file after file. Giving himself a minute to enjoy his meal he finally set to looking through the files. Judging from the total size of the data files he was going to be up half the night. looking over at his TV he sighed and used the remote to turn the volume up a little.

Looking out at the dark ocean view from his window he let himself fully frown. "None of this fits..." Devin muttered remembering what Anyplace said about the view being fitting. "And it all smells like sh*t." Devin then spent that half night pouring through the documents he was sent with no one seeing him the rest of the night.

The students first assignment is here! Key points for you to remember.

There is only one map and it is immune to duplication magic of any type.

You are allowed to use magic, but all location magic seems to not work (explained later)

I am happy to welcome everyone to add their own take on the Grand Bazaar so if you want to add anything the shops are selling or showcasing feel free too. The goal of this assignment is to give everyone's character a chance to explore as well as get to know each other (After all there is a very new student in our company :) )

Professor Harsiesi was delighted to see the next and final member of their group arrive from the Sand. The look on student Zuri's face was the final piece to make his day. He had high expectations for everyone in the class including the addition of a student from beyond Hogwarts. In his time teaching at the school he found it rather odd so few of the students even knew of other schools let alone that there were other forms of teaching and learning magic.

A clap of his hand brought everyone from their tea hazed introductions to the ever expanding classroom that would be Egypt. "Hello everyone! Welcome to my home country of Egypt!" He had on his normal smile and pzazz his students had come to expect in his classroom. "As you can see we are in the heart of the Grand Bazaar one of the oldest muggle and magical market places in the world!" For your first assignment I want you to follow this map to the hotel. You have two hours to reach the goal." He then put a map down on the table in front of them. "I'll be one spell away if you need me, but you should be able to make it without much difficulty.?

With that the Professor walked over to a carpet near the doorway and sat down. "Time to fly." The students then watched as the carpet began to fly and shoot out the door and into the bright sun drenched sky.
