Hitomi blinked back into a clear mind. Have I been staring at commander’s bum for this whole conversation?? She shook her head lightly tossing her hair from side to side before walking up closer to Kimiko from behind her. She thought about whether or not what she was about to do was a smart idea or not. By all means, it wasn’t. However, she really wanted to. So her hand reached out to Kimiko’s round, supple, shoulder and tapped it lightly. She got in close to Kimiko’s ear and whispered softly:

Up,” this whisper was shortly followed by the slightly smaller girl attempting to climb up on top of her commander so that she could assume the backpack position. She locked her small legs around Kimiko’s waist and made sure to let her arms rest loosely around Kimiko’s collar.

She peered out from behind Kimiko’s bright orange-red hair and rested her head on her Commander’s shoulder. It was clear what this conversation was about, as far as Kazou was concerned. As soon as she caught the look her commander had been giving Sasori. The air in the room grew thick with tension. But Hitomi was to tension as a hot knife was to butter.

I think that this thing is probably bigger than us, at least the four of us, y’know?” She asked somewhat rhetorically, catching the eyes of Daisuke, Sasori and Kimiko. Even Kazou glanced her way in probable confusion. From her perch however, it was clear that the four of them were somewhat underqualified. While at least two of the people present did have those freaky spirit people that came out and helped during the conflict against the antagonistic robots of dough, cheese, entrapment, and tomato sauce – Hitomi didn’t have her own yet.

She’d have to figure something out as far as that goes.

It’d be wise to include everyone present in the relevant discussion I think.” Hitomi said no doubt baffling everyone around her she could put on a voice and persona that wasn’t bat shit crazy.

Three's a crowd

@Plank Sinatra

"You still want to come along and pick up my dad Jericho?" I asked, looking into Jericho's eyes. He nodded, I didn't wait to hear anything else. It was time to face my father. I took a seat in the back of the town car and awaited Jericho to take his seat. He seemed to be taking his time, probably saying goodbye to the various people we had left in the café. I had asked them there, made a scene, got taken behind the café. I was a mess in every sense of the word.

The town car felt cool to most of the open skin on my body, I could feel some of the air conditioning reaching the backs of my calves and my shoulder blades. Jericho walked slowly but methodically around the car and opened the door. He took his seat, not even glancing at me and closing it behind him.

"Ready to go, Ms. Nuit?" I was asked by the driver.

"Yeah." I responded staring at the head rest in front of me. I heard the car kick some of the loose gravel up as we started on our way. It was a relatively short ride to the airfield given Beacon's close proximity to the center of the community. I glanced in Jer's direction and examined him quizzically. He had an elbow resting near the window controls that had his hand rest around his mouth. He stared at the surrounding cityscape with a quiet curiosity. I guess I had forgotten that he was still getting used to being in Vale.

It was odd for me too at first. The differences were easy enough to pick apart when one compared Mistral and Vale. But the thing that had surprised me the most were the strangers. They had a way about them, a neighbourhood comradery. It was different from back in Mistral. Especially back in Zephyr. I was used to a certain amount of loathing from others. Whether it be because of who my father was or who they thought I'd be. But here I was, proving them wrong.

I sighed quietly attempting to exhale the negativity in my mind.

It could be a little much at times. I glanced at Jer again.

I could be a little much at times.

"Don't answer this... But I've been too much to handle recently, huh?" I said casually. Moving the majority of the hair hanging over my right shoulder behind it. Jer's ears perked up but he seemed intent on following orders, simply glancing in my direction while keeping his primary focus on the city outside. "I know I have been..." I felt a warmth develop in my cheeks and I glanced out towards the window, leaning away from my... I'm not even sure what he is really.

Is he my friend? Does he consider me his friend? Why would he?

I don't have many friends, honestly. It can be hard connecting with people when you've lead a life so devoid of common ground.

"Don't worry about it. I'm done chasing you - sorry about that." I said as the car came to a stop at the helipad.

The driver excused himself from our presence as he made his way to the landing helicopter, his suit flapped in the wind as the helicopter gently touched down.

"Hello Theod- I- Junior can be- Thank you.".

I could only make out every other word or so from my father's speech as he approached the passenger side door. I turned to Jer to warn him about my father, but when I did I was met with a man I did not recognize.

Gone were Jer's signifying features like his flowing hair and piercing eyes. Now he appeared older, in his late twenties with short blonde curly hair. He had light blue eyes and a five o' clock shadow. His jaw bone was fairly similar, rigid as always. He stared back at me, nodding once. He was wearing a black suit jacket and a white dress shirt and perfectly sized purple tie along with black dress pants. My father took his seat in the town car, the wind from the helicopter poured in through the car as it took off once more. My father closed the door and with a bang, silence washed over the vehicle.

Even more so than before.

"Who is this, your suitor?" My father asked callously examining Jericho in the rear view mirror. His eyes scanning the boy with distaste.

"No." I responded simply waiting for the car to leave the helipad.

"Don't be short with me." He snapped back at me. But I didn't care anymore. I laid against the window as the car finally picked up its pace and we begun to make our way back to school. I wasn't sure why my father insisted on visiting as the last hours of family day dwindled down. But whatever the reason was I'm sure I wasn't going to like it.

"Yeah, sorry." I responded, my voice muffled by the palm of the hand I was leaning against. My hair once more fell over my shoulder and required me to brush it back behind my shoulder. Jer didn't seem to watch the city anymore, this time he was focused on my father.

I wonder why? Did he perceive him as a threat? That'd be odd. He was an asshole and an elitist, but he wasn't a threat. Per se.

"I'll be teaching you some respect when we arrive at this pitiful excuse for a school." My father said, venom dripping from every word.

But I found myself not caring. I was more preoccupied by what I was going to do tomorrow. I hadn't been able to attend much class at Beacon and I wanted to take full advantage of my Practice class at the end of the day. Perhaps if Jericho was in the class I'd ask him to help me.

"Are you paying any attention at all?" My father snapped. Turning around in his seat, and meeting Jericho's gaze while angrily glancing over at me.

"Yes. I understand, I'll learn to respect my elders." I said quietly tapping my foot on the back of my father's seat. The ride continued on in silence until we arrived at Beacon. My father immediately exited the vehicle and I turned to Jericho with a sorry smile. "Thanks for going along with me dragging you to pick him up. You're off the hook, have a good night." I said turning away from the Atlesian boy and exiting the vehicle, taking my dad as requested to his 'no good traitor of an offspring'. I called her Estelle, but his name sure did have a nice ring to it.

It's lonely at the top

My scroll buzzed beside me. I took the last bite of my small sandwich I had ordered from the cafeteria between third and fourth period and scarfed it down in a hurry. Today felt unapologetically long. I was sitting alone on top of the Beacon spire my wings tucked in close to my body so they wouldn't catch a sudden gust of wind. It was lonely up here. But at least it was quiet. I still had to visit Gratia to look through therapy options and ask Jericho about my proposed practice classes.

But I didn't feel incredibly enthusiastic about either option.

I felt a bit of a breeze hit me and I opened my wings ready to be carried by it. Coasting it all the way to the ground I flapped once to avoid landing too hard and felt the nice solid ground beneath my feet.

Time for fourth period.

Walking into the classroom I saw that I was one of the first people to arrive. I only saw two or three others in the classroom. As such I decided to take a seat towards the back of the lecture hall. Placing my bag ever-so-gently onto the ground, making sure to allow my aura to dwindle out of the bag so it once more begun to weigh almost nothing. I allowed my head to collapse forward onto the desk falling both gently and heavily into my arms.

I couldn't tell whether I wanted someone to sit beside me, or have absolutely no one come near me right now.

Heya Mae

Just going to be keeping Persephone's Lover status with Narcissa. Raven would be included as well but she is gone, so that'll be it. Everything else will be a fresh roll if at all possible!
@NarayanK

I'd say leave it to Monday or Tuesday to post. Give everyone the weekend to wrap up.
@Plank Sinatra

As far as I am aware, yes this is exactly correct.

We will be moving forward onto Tuesday which will be your usual day of classes. I'm fine with having the weekend for wrapping things up and moving forward either Monday or Tuesday.

Behind the Café

"Au revoir." I said quietly making my way back towards the café entrance. I knew deep down that Gratia wasn't one to hug back. But I hoped in a way for something, I guess.

Once I returned back in the café I picked Hayley out of the crowd immediately and grabbed her hand. "Come with me." I said under my breath, completely passing by Jer and the others. I sat her down in the seat in which I had told her she would be moving to Vacuo and immediately started filling out the same paperwork she had brought me from before.

"I need your last time." I said quietly pausing as my pen neared the surface of the paper, waiting for my permission to begin rectifying what I had done.

"Dodici." She said quietly.

I felt a twitch make its way through my face.

"Dodici?"

"Yeah, my uncle's name is Sonny but he's my only real connection to the family. I'm not like one of the super important one's that got..."

She had suffered enough. "Hayley Dodici, you own this coffee chain now. You're going to need to do with it whatever you will. Please think long and hard before making any drastic decisions and if you ever need anything my number is written down here." I said looking the girl in the eyes.

"What? Seriously?" She started but I raised my hand and simply slid the forms across the table.

"You'll need to fill those out." I said as my scroll went off in my pocket for the third time since I had sat down. The car was here and Papa was getting in soon.

I walked out of the office and glanced over at Jericho's position.

"You still want to come along and pick up my dad Jericho?" I asked looking him in the eyes for perhaps the first time today.

@Mae

As far as Persephone goes, I'm always willing to wait on you guys so don't worry about it.

Okay so let's start with Faela our favourite 'we need to edit that' sheet.

Phew, can't wait to hear about Persephone and hear back from anything I might've messed up. My responses are all in italics!
