Is this still open? I'd love to enter.
As stated above, applicants have a fair bit of time (roughly a week or so) to post their characters.
Is there a chance I could join?
Feel free to post your application.
The thread proper is up, and can be found here. Good luck with your applications, everyone. ^_^ Edit:
oh my that filled up quite fast~
I won't be running this on a first-come-first-served basis. Accepting a character will depend on the quality of the application above all else.
Announcement: As both the interest check and full-size thread have been buried regularly by the speed at which the Casual sections update, I have decided to move Warriors of Sengun to the Advanced section of the forums. The new thread/s will be launched at a later date, to allow a similar role-play - which I co-GM - to take center stage on Pokémon-related threads. Thank you all for expressing interest, even if it wasn't entirely acted upon in many cases.

Warriors of Sengun
A Pokémon Role-Play
The island region of Sengun is home to many unusual things. From its Ten Kingdoms come mighty Warriors, individuals who fight alongside their Pokémon in battle. From ancient ruins scattered across the land come stories: the history of the region. And from all corners come Pokémon that are not seen in other regions: species exclusive to Sengun, from the cute and fuzzy Voltaer, to the towering Guardient, to the flameborn Igniyashi or the martial Froscadet. Whether you have travelled here from your homeland or you are a Sengun native, born and raised in one of the Ten Kingdoms, you are an aspiring Pokémon Trainer, here to take on the newest Pokémon League Challenge and rise to the rank of Champion. Our story begins in Regala: the capital Kingdom of Sengun, the heart of the land, home to both Professors Acer and Yang Ilex and the Pokémon League HQ. You have made your way to the Ilex Laboratories to begin your journey, taking the first steps on the road to glory...

Author's Notes: - Welcome to Warriors of Sengun. I am your GM; NeoAC, GM of The Road to Indigo, is co-GMing for me. - This is a Pokémon role-play, set in a new region, and featuring new species. I have designed 91 Pokémon native to the Sengun region from the ground up, all of which have everything a species needs, from physical descriptions to base stats and moves. - The Sengun region has eight new Gyms, a brand-new Elite Four, and a new batch of villains. All of which will be introduced at various points. - As stated above, all the characters will begin in the Kingdom of Regala (a map is provided below). - Warriors of Sengun will follow Generation VI mechanics and learnsets as of Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, supplemented by new moves and Abilities. A handful of "official" species - Pokémon that aren't Sengun-exclusive - also have small updates applied to them.

The Sengun League: Sengun has recently launched a Pokémon League of its own, in the same style as many other regions, and has conducted an advertising campaign across almost every region to draw Trainers, whether beginner or veteran, to the new League. The campaign promises a substantial cash reward for anyone who defeats the eight Gym Leaders, then the Elite Four soon after that, and attains the rank of Champion. As is tradition in many Pokémon Leagues, Sengun plays host to eight Gyms and a set of Elite Four. The Gyms will be challenged in order according to the table below, while the Elite Four can be faced in any order after reaching the Pokémon League HQ. Gym Leaders:
Elite Four:
The new species exclusive to Sengun, including their learnsets and descriptions, can be found here. The Sengun Regional Pokédex, which contains every species found in the region, can be found here. More information on the Ten Kingdoms, including which Pokémon can be found in which territories, can be found here.

I am looking to accept a reasonable number of characters, but previous experience has taught me that I should accept no more than eight characters, including those of myself and my co-GM. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here, or send them to me via private message.

The character I've written for Warriors of Sengun is as follows.
This is starting to shape up into a decent amount of interest. I shall have the thread up momentarily.
Interested! o.o am I person number 8?
Expressing interest doesn't necessarily mean you'll be accepted. I'll need to see how all of these unfamiliar people write. =)
Also are you expecting a certain age range for the trainers? Oh and is it possible for the trainers to have legendary Pokemon?
Characters should be within the age range of fourteen to 24, preferably late teens or early twenties. As for legendary species, that's a no-go at this stage. Same applies to shiny Pokémon.
Hey , stupied question , do we have to be trainers , could I possibly be a gym leader or apart of the elite four.
Sorry, but I'm going to have to shoot that one down. Many of the Gym Leaders and Elite Four play important roles in the plot. The question is much appreciated though; it's one I didn't expect. Edit: Hm. Seems there's a bit of interest already. Excellent. I'll wait for a few more to speak up before posting the OP proper.

(Raven's Note/Preface: While I have experience in role-playing on other forums, this is my first attempt at posting an interest check and role-play on the Guild site. To that end, I apologise in advance if my decisions are not quite what you might expect from a GM.) The island region of Sengun is home to many unusual things. As you may have guessed, Warriors of Sengun is a Pokémon role-play set in a new region, featuring several (read: just under a hundred) new Pokémon in addition to species that have been featured in other regions. I've taken great care in detailing as much as possible on both the Sengun region and the new species, and will provide more information on everything in the OOC tab when the thread is launched properly. (The thread is already prepared to be posted to Casual Role-Plays. I'm used to just putting up a thread as it is instead of needing to place an interest check first.) The player-characters, including my own, will be beginner Pokémon Trainers seeking to begin their journey on Sengun's Pokémon League Challenge, which has only recently been launched. The new League offers a substantial cash reward to anyone who reaches the rank of Champion, after having bested the Gym Leaders and Elite Four. Of course, Sengun has more going on than just the Pokémon League... Additional Notes: - I wasn't quite sure of whether to post this in Casual or Advanced, since I'm not entirely certain on where my personal standards of writing fit into the way the Guild does things, so I've chosen to take a "High Casual" approach. - Previous experience has taught me that the total number of participants should be no more than seven or eight, including myself and my co-GM who has already expressed interest in the story I plan to tell. - Warriors of Sengun will follow Generation VI mechanics and movesets as of Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire.
For several reasons, chief among them being other projects that have started to pick up speed again - and I really want to get them done - I must withdraw my interest in this thread. My apologies, and I wish you guys good luck.
