April 7th, still
Break Time™ A.M.

The small oasis in the vast oppressive desert known as school, the brief break period was a double-edged sword for Yun. Obviously he appreciated being given what little autonomy he could get in this institution but this just made him drowsier when it was time to return back to their regularly scheduled curriculum. Being famished probably didn't help matters much either so it was off to the snack cart before he actually collapsed from either low blood sugar or boredom. Whatever got him first, really.

It was simple enough to hail the cart to a halt. Yun's been buying from this school lunchlady for as long as he could remember. Though, if you were to ask him what this staffer's name was, Yun could only answer with a shrug and say "Obasan Lunchlady?" He had, in fact, used that same quizzical tone to grab her attention just now in order to buy off a freshly baked melon pan from her.

"At least I hope it's baked on this day", he said to himself after unwrapping the baking paper. The fluffy texture adorned with criss-cross patterns was a nutritional nightmare if one were to figure out what ingredients go into this yellow bun of deliciousness. Yun knew this fact but simply chose to ignore it anyway. This was going to be a problem for future him, not currently-starving-for-sugar him.

After his first bite of this caloric bomb, Yun confirmed two things: the state of his surroundings now that he wasn't hyperfocused on his thoughts and the fact that the somewhat warm filling of faux fruit meant it was at least made this morning. While the latter eased some of his worries, the former piqued his curiosity as he saw the new guy being trailed by a curious student reporter. It was sort of hard to miss Totsuka but, if one were to blink, it would be easy to miss Kanna. She blended well into the background if she wanted to, Yun figured due to the nature of her hobby.

It wasn't often that he'd go out of his way to do something but Yun really did want to know whether they had an undercover banchou vigilante for a classmate. Making sure to take light steps while trailing the pair, he would casually stroll up to Kanna as she had finished writing down her observations.

"Whatcha got there, miss ace reporter?" Yun stated in a hush tone before taking a bite of his melon pan, causing some of the filling to smear across his mouth.

April 7th, first day of school. Boo.
8:47ish am

Like waves crashing on to the shore, the start of the new school semester was unfortunately inevitable. The metaphorical similarities didn't just stop there though. Just like intently gazing into the ocean waters breaking on the sand and retracting back to the sea, having to sit through classes was going to put Yun in a hypnotic daze. This concern meant nothing to his parents though as boredom was not a valid reason to skip school unless he wanted to get kicked out of the house. But could you blame Yun for trying to reason that out? He's been through this same song and dance for years now and nothing ever really changed in Utsubyo or for the people that lived there even if they graduate as far as he could remember. Then again, he could really only remember as far back as the 2nd grade as everything else before that was a blurry brain soup that had gone way past its expiry date.

Weird food analogies spurned on by skipping breakfast aside, there was the minor consolation prize of the new students introductions to break up the first homeroom session's monotony. Yun had chosen a seat on the second row from the front but the energy from Shimizu could easily be felt even from that distance. She spoke few words but that's all she needed to do really, he had thought. Definitely needed to get to know her better, Yun had decided.

"Whoa." Yun whispered to himself as Totsuka stood up to the front though. There was no way this guy was a student their age. He had to be one of those undercover police agents sent to infiltrate the school, just like in those Hollywood movies!.. Or a dropout that kept getting held back but now leads his own gang of delinquents like in those 80s shounen manga everyone online raves about!

See where a wandering mind leads to in its prison of languor? Though this second transfer student's introduction was certainly the same length or even shorter than the first, it felt way longer for Yun. Still, his gaze was simply transfixed on to Totsuka even as the large lad returned to his seat. This would go on for a few more seconds before he caught himself being certifiably creepy and snapped out of it.

Bringing his attention back to the board at the front, he had realized one thing. Whatever Totsuka had just said completely went in one ear and out the other. Now how would Yun know if his new classmate was a secret superhero looking to lead a double life while trying to find a plucky sidekick?!

Ha, I actually finished this template when I said I would.

Contrary to every fibre in his being, Kazuyoshi had remained silent at the snipe Taniguchi-sensei had uttered. He really couldn't afford to get suspended for talking back - or worse - after getting ostracized and spending the majority of the summer vacation in isolation. In fact, this sort of presented a unique opportunity that just clicked for Kazu at that moment. While he wasn't exactly Nakano's number one fan, this did mean he had an excuse to hang out with a clique again and not be the exiled loner of the second year students.

That mischievous smile he entered with was once again etched across the luckless lad's face. Elated, Kazu made a quick bow at Suzuki-sensei's suggestion and made for the exit as he tried to hide his gleaming grin. Stopping just outside the teachers' lounge door, he would await for Maki and ask a simple question with no ulterior motive.

"You wanna head on out and check in with the our new jailer before heading back to your chicken fryer?"

History
While not one of the major houses of Westeros, House Peake has certainly pursued glory. Originally advisors to House Gardner and even regent to a young Targaryen king, the ambitious lords of the Starpike castle seek to once again find their rightful place in history. Trevyr Peake, the fourth son of his house, now seizes the opportunity to surpass his kin.

Unlikely to inherit his father's lands and possessing the cavalier spirit of an adventurer, Trevyr was raised with the stories of his ambitious ancestors and was quite fond of their time as sellswords in the Golden Company. The glorified tales of his grand uncles Laswell, Torman and Pykewood across the Essosi Free Cities inspired him to take up Braavosi swordplay, develop a love for Volantian wine, dress in Tyroshi garb, and a preference for Lysene women though one would have a hard time finding a man of the Seven Kingdoms who did not.

There was one other legacy brought over by the men-in-exile of House Peake that Trevyr carries. While they had supported the return of the rightful king to the Iron Throne, their former lordships of Dustonbury and Whitegrove were still in the hands of pretenders. It was a slight that the elder generations had seemingly overlooked but the ancient grudges had once again brought about renewed intrigues.

On the 58th nameday of Lord Eddrick Peake, Trevyr's liege and father, tragedy had struck. The patriarch of House Peake had choked on his meal and died with the bone of fowl stuck down his throat. Within a few days, a new house head had ascended and Trevyr now found himself sent away to Highgarden as a representative of Starpike. In truth his brother Bardaq, the new lord of the House, just wanted him and other claimants away from their ancestral hold. A young lad with nary a soldier in his employ and only a miniscule stipend set aside by his estate, Trevyr loitered about while wasting away at taverns and the feasts of his peers, often endearing himself to his hosts through party tricks and boisterous revelry.

This would not last long though as the doldrums caused by his familial circumstance had given him the opportunity of a lifetime to seize. Upon hearing whispers of Prince Vaeron's plans to tour the wonders of Essos, Trevyr immediately sought the quickest caravan to King's Landing. It would not take long for him to reach the capital and it would take even less time for him to be accustomed to the stench of the capital's underbelly. What did take a longer time though was receiving an audience with the Prince. It would take a bit of trickery to expedite his request, as Trevyr had exaggerated his reputation as an expert on current Essosi affairs and bribed a palace servant to drum up his credentials to the prince.

Needless to say, he had met the young Targaryen prince and has been admitted to join the journey. While the adventure ahead lies obscured, a lordling of House Peake once again looks to find fortune in the eastern lands.

Relations
A relatively recent acquaintance to Prince Vaeron, Trevyr jumped on the opportunity to join the royal entourage by presenting his family's ephemeral ties to Essos during their time in exile as part of the Golden Company. While they might not know each other that well, the laws and traditions of feudalism defines their relationship as peers.

House Peake's history is deeply intertwined with the ancient rivalries of Highgarden's vassals. As such Trevyr is acquainted with his fellow Reach noblemen and has a painted opinion on all of them, though they do not intimately know much about each other.

Trivia
Trevyr plans to collect a bottle of wine or spirits from every settlement they visit.

A phony yet visibly nervous smile was painted across Kazuyoshi's face before letting out an equally forced chuckle. He was on thin ice due to the summer incident but everyone seemed content to dance around the issue, not unlike figure skaters on a freshly frozen winter lake. However, that remark about assumptions did worry him a bit since meeting expectations without doing anything good lately can only be troublesome. Before he could stew on this even further, he needed to explain where he had been. Uh oh.

Kazu's mind raced to find a plausible explanation for his tardiness since spacing out in the supposedly locked off roof of the school would definitely lead to suspicion. Even before he could begin to forge a fictitious fibbery, the fashionable five-to-niner female had given him an idea. "As a matter of fact, yes. I was, uh, meeting up with my good buddy Hinari-san at the Cooking club room since we were going to cook chicken. Something about how he could do better than Family Mart." A smug smirk now etched itself across Kazu's face, content with the sequence of events he had just fabricated. Perhaps he will indeed ask Daigo-kun to cook him some chicken at some later time.

Focusing back on the present, Kazu tried to move the conversation along before his facade would unravel. "Also, saying we were sampling chicken might seem sketchy. We totes paid for those Momoji-sensei, I might even have the receipt on me." Kazu would state as he rummaged through his pockets, finding only lint and loose candy wrappers. Definitely not a good second impression for either his teacher or schoolmate.
Hello lords and ladies, I'm looking to join in as mentioned by Clock and will most likely be sovereign of Connecticut in The Northern Marches.

Northern Marches

Looking forward to serve under House Martin, your lordship.

The second school day promised that the rest of the academic year was to be as typical as the rest of them. As a consolation for the compromise of Kazuyoshi actually staying awake, the teachers didn't call on him as much when compared to yesterday's rapid rounds of Stand Up/Sit Down. As the bell rang to signify the end of regular class time, Kazu had to reluctantly spend the time of respite alone due to his seatmate's new occupational obligations. It seems everyone in their class had somewhere to be except the aimless Asakura. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing, he supposed. It meant there would probably be less people on the roof, optimally none.

Wading through the sea of the student body, Kazu would eventually reach the consistently unlocked door leading to the rooftop. Whether the janitorial staff trusted the students not to loiter or were just too lazy to replace the deadbolt that got jimmied by Banri-san (allegedly) last year, the top of the school building was always available for the more troublesome lot of Hinotori High. While most used it to hide from the student disciplinary committee and trade some classic school contraband, Kazu came up here to enjoy the metropolitan skyline. Most might envision a grassy field or a sandy beach as the most relaxing spots to enjoy the midday sun but the slabs of concrete that made up Kyoto was his slice of Shangri-La. Just imagine: Staring beyond the metropolitan horizon with nothing but the distant sounds of chatter, traffic, and buzzing of the school's HVAC exhaust vents.

Maybe it was a few minutes or a few moments but to Kazu it felt like a still hour in time that only got interrupted by a PA announcement addressing him. Turns out that escaping the class recitals didn't mean he was out of the woods. With a sigh and goodbye, he begrudgingly went back down though not without a quick stop at the nearest bathroom. The sterile smell of overused cleaning products overwhelmed Kazu's senses though it was better than the alternative. Turning on the closest tap, he would let the water flow for a few seconds before dipping his hands and applying soap. While muttering a twenty count under his breath, a chorus of familiar voices could be heard approaching. In a hurry, Kazu shut off the tap with soap still bubbling on his hands and hid in one of the stalls. Speak of the devil and he appears it seems as the boisterous voice of Yoshizawa Banri easily drowned out the rest of the gang's. Having personally known what he's capable of and how easily he can be slighted, Kazu seriously did not want to deal with this right now. His breaths became shallow and short but he had hoped they would soon go away. His heartbeat soon drowned out all the voices in the bathroom, including his own internal dialogue.

Then it went silent. They were gone and soon Kazu would be too, as soon as he finishes his rinse. Just as he was done, the deathly stare of his reflection from the nearby bathroom mirror jolted him as it soon fogged up. He wasn't gonna stick around to get scared by mirrors though so Kazu rushed to the faculty room before he gets chewed out even more for stalling. Though he had ran to get there, the pace of his walk would return to normal as he approached the door. No need to get into more trouble after all.

Kazu would knock on the door twice before going in regardless with a smile on his face. He had hoped to win over his judge and jury with charm though this facade soon got wiped off his face. The convenience store girl was here. Oh god, did he accidentally shoplift?!
