Personal experience: Writing storylines for other player than yourself is really bad idea. The guy in question will usually get fed up with having his hands tied by your story arc and quit. If you need Dorumon for your story, you shoulda make it yourself.

I completely agree with this. It seems all too obvious that the moment I take a Dorumon path digimon that you're inevitably going to tell me what to RP or take over my character. It's even worse that you're not willing to even explain why it's so important beforehand. It's bad tact not to play a character like that yourself.

What don't you like about it? The character is open to change. My character arc is going to be based on the fact that he isn't a digidestined, but his cousin was and he is the replacement, so I'm not particularly tied to anything.

Bio: The only thing Zero understood about himself from birth was how much he was not what his family expected him to be. Although born in Japan, his dad was not, and was never accepted by the majority of his mother's side of the family. His dad, a fireofficer by trait, died when he was young when a gas explosion downtown nearly set the city alight. He looked different and kids in school and even family at home never let him forget it. He had an older cousin, Kamina, 15 years old, who was Kazero's only friend. Kamina was everything Kazero wasn't; popular, well respect - a natural born leader. Kazero wanted to be like Kamina but never felt the need to because Kamina was always around.
Personality/Traits: Kazero is brave, open-minded and patient; all characteristics born from his lack of self-esteem and pride. Kazero is so wrapped up in making a good impression and being accepted he is willing to go through all manners of negativity so long as he can achieve it.

Kingdom Hearts: The Keyblade War.

Zero was still sitting in frozen animation in the street at Twilight Town. The scenery of permanent husk made it difficult to determine for sure the exact passage of time, but Zero had been so dormant and docile as he waited in place he had been visited by a crow who perched on his head as it would for a tree or a statue. Nonetheless, Zero didn't even flinch at its arrival.

Kingdom Hearts: The Keyblade War.

A lot of people are saying they have trouble thinking of a post. That's alarming when it comes from the Gms of the RP. You guys know the story and the idea of what the journey is supposed to be. You guys know what is supposed to be around the corner at any point in the RP. You guys should be the last people stuck to post.

I think for the rest of us, if people are feeling stuck then it might be an indication that the plot is progressing fast enough to RP. Most characters in this RP have been spectators. They post commentary on what the man character is doing because the main character belongs to the GM who is the only person who knows what's actually going on at any point in time. No one is clear about their role in the RP as of yet or how the features, strengths, weaknesses and ideals of their character add to the plot. At the moment, the group that is trying to resurrect the keyblade are neither good nor bad. They are trying to end the war by resurrecting the X-blade, but not to help the good guys, but just to end the war.

Well Vegeta wasn't there on Dbz to make the enemies look tougher. The guy was the second main protagonist and as such, only the main antagonists of each arc were capable of beating him. Plus on Dbz, there was no need for someone to get their hides handled to them in order to make the bad guys look stronger since just about everyone had the same beating in that regard. For example:

I was very particular when I typed so that you could read exactly what I typed rather than assume what I meant. By no means did I say that was EXACTLY what Vegeta's role in DBZ was, I put it in quotation marks and even added "of sorts" as a disclaimer to highlight that I'm simply using that as a reference point. I wanted to reference the "Worf Effect" but I wasn't sure how many people knew enough about Star Trek to get that reference. So thank you for pointing out that my intentions for my character were not EXACTLY like the role Vegeta played in DBZ regarding power levels. I already indicated that it wasn't an exact allegory.

Its funny, because you glossed over the only thing I was trying to explain, which is what I highlighted in bold; by listing people who could best or go toe-to-toe with Vegeta, you had a list of the most noteworthy people in DBZ which is the only thing I was making a specific connection to.

@Xan the G Real Life has hit us all hard and we all work also which as you can imagine takes up a lot of our time and leaves us exhausted. I will try my best to get something going for you and some others so I will take a list here and now.

I only asked because I created a 4th seat and I just wanted to know whether my char is still viable for this RP. I initially thought my 4th seat would serve as a "vegeta" of sorts, in that he is there to lose to enemies to show how powerful the enemy is, as he is clearly the strongest 4th or lower seat in the shinigami (virtue of the rest being npc's) but all this talk of captain-only or lt-only stories makes me question.

What is happening? I'm just a seat 4 shinigami and I haven't posted in weeks because there's been no actual story yet.
