True followers or devotees of Ielitha Dema are probably fairly rare, but I could see a lot of types of people asking her for her blessing, as it were. Spies, curators, artists, explorers... anybody dealing with secrets or curiosities. She might also be popular among executioners, thus "the Hangman's Lady".

Those cults that do exist purely to serve her would be very mysterious and secretive and probably quite small.

Hmmm, that is a valid point. Csonugdytuft may not like what she sees as Ielitha Dema taking advantage of a wronged party by striking a bargain, but that's not a particularly major quibble since unless she's also a dick about screwing up their desires it's not that big of a deal. And I think the Gifts qualify as more than oddities; I plan on having one of the Cult of the Divine Circle's high priests be a sentient mass of flesh fused to a throne. And he started out human. :D

Ielitha Dema is often rather excessive when it comes to how she goes about getting vengeance for somebody (since it involves eventually imprisoning them in Aedora), but that's usually part of the understanding. She doesn't exactly correct people who ask for her help and just want their enemy humiliated, but the number of people capable of contacting her who don't understand what asking for her help usually entails are fairly low.

Oddities is just a polite way of saying "weird shit". The more unique the better. Mass of flesh fused to a throne that used to be human? Hell yeah, Ielitha finds that fascinating.

Meanwhile Csonugdytuft is a caring, kind, and benevolent Goddess who Gifts you with glorious mutations as a sign of her love (your desire of said Gifts is not important). And all who dwell within her realm have been Gifted by her, and thus follow their Goddess without question for she works towards the betterment of all. So pretty much everyone on her realm (that is sentient) could be considered a member of the Cult of the Divine Circle despite not living among humans. And you know, if you end up stuck in her realm being Gifted probably isn't that bad. Otherwise you would probably go at least a little crazy.

I feel like our gods might get along okay.

The gifts your goddess bestows certainly qualify as "oddities", and her benevolence would mesh well with Ielitha Dema's more laid-back approach to dealing with mortals (and the other princes of ruin, for that matter).
I figure a lot of the human inhabitants of my realm got there just by walking, or writing, or sleeping. They just kinda slipped from their world into hers, and can't quite recall when exactly the switch happened. Aedora swallows up people on the fringes, although it isn't particularly aggressive towards the people inside it. There are dangers, sure, but they're not particularly interested in you.
Shadowboxes
Scattered artifacts with ties to Ielitha Dema, "Shadowboxes" are puzzleboxes made from a smooth black metal and inlaid with a crystal like obsidian. Depending on how the puzzle components of the box are arranged, different effects can be conjured in its vicinity; these effects can range from something as simple and relatively benign as whispers to creating a gate through which one can summon Shades or Tall Shadows.

While it usually requires an extremely difficult and convoluted series of modifications, each Shadowbox can indeed be opened. What's inside a Shadowbox varies, but usually whoever opened one is never seen again.

Ielitha Dema might get along okay with Nat. "Oddities" and "the unspeakable" is more or less meant to encompass secrets (especially secrets which cause some level of distress), which are obviously a form of knowledge. Ielitha loves learning about new stuff. I guess it depends on how well he can keep his ego in check.
Ielitha shouldn't creep you out.

I mean, she doesn't really take the time to get her own hands dirty with the retribution thing, so if you're meeting her you're probably safe.

She has a soft, pleasant voice.

She'll tell you that your life matters, that you're not insignificant. No. Your life matters very, very greatly.

And she will tell you how, precisely, your life has effected others. How it was crucial for a great and terrible design. How many will die because of you.
Threw this together real quick to give an idea of what Ielitha Dema (or maybe just a similar-looking Tall Shadow) would look like.

Unrelated, the other alternative idea to Irilith or Ielitha Dema was something using the Mirrorverse.
