Aha, thank you!

I really do enjoy writing them, but I don't get to use them much. It's a bit difficult to find a setting to shove them in.

In that case I'm glad you found one right here, and lucky me to have stumbled upon this hilarious duo.

@Rusalka
I like your warrior lady, she seems like the kind to crush skulls with her bare hands. Please don't crush Jameson's skull with your bare hands.
Jameson was too busy eating to reply Skylar immediately, once he was done eating, she had already gone towards the entrance to greet a heavily armored female warrior. He could tell that she was an experienced fighter, if not for her feminine voice, anyone could've mistaken her for a man. Her sword has quite an intricate design, not one Jameson has seen in his travels. Soon after entered two lasses, one with horns on her forehead, while the other resembled a lizard, a rather well-endowed one. Jameson could tell that the former was a demon from the horns, but she didn't seem threatening in anyway, the latter was rather peculiar to him, a demi-dragon he thought.

After hearing Quinton's speech, he called out to him, "Hey Quinton, hold on with my portal, I'm good here." then raised his mug of coffee in approval. "And besides, I've got a job interview to attend to right?". Jameson then went to the opposite side of the counter and started mixing up a drink with whatever he found. He found an old bottle of whiskey and poured some into a mug, he then mixed in some coffee and honey. "A strong drink with the perfect hint of sweetness, perfect for a tough lass" he thought as he brought it over to Nariah's table. "You can take this as my resume, Quinton.", he handed the drink over to Nariah, "I'm Jameson, drink's on me. It might not be what you had in mind when you first came in, but it's the best I could serve for now seeing that this establishment isn't exactly one we're more accustomed to."

Alright, just got done reading. I gotta say though, props to Miya and Ishia, they really crack me up a bit :P
I was gone for a few hours and then suddenly POSTS EVERYWHERE. Not that I'm complaining, glad to see more people have joined, will be awhile before I post something though, gotta read up first.
"Hmm... you won't be seeing more than what you can offer I'm afraid. Also, it would be in our best interests that the Governor doesn't know about our meeting for now." Vanessa finished her sentence and darted off into the darkness, hiding her face. She passed a few streets before hailing a carriage to bring her to the Chancellor's office, hopefully the meeting wasn't over yet. The carriage ride was relatively quiet, giving Vanessa some time to think. She was looking forward to the meeting with Claudia, if not for the information, a nice drink in a cozy tavern with beautiful company would do her good. Now all that's left is to think up a report for the Chancellor and the Governor.

It didn't take long for the carriage to arrive at the Temple. She walked down the hall towards the Chancellor's office and saw a young girl roughly Samuel's age busting through the door. "Another young meat in the cauldron of elders" she thought to herself. She quickened her pace and entered the office soon after, standing beside the girl. Vanessa gave her a quick look and turned her gaze back towards her superiors, "My Chancellor, Governor, hope I'm not too late." She saluted and took a look at the Chancellor then back to the girl, "Ah, this must be your daughter, a pleasure to meet you."

Jameson began wolfing down the steak in front of him, "Mish Shkylar, thish hash gotta be the besht shteak I've efer had! Thank you!" said Jameson even before he swallowed his first mouthful. He swallowed his food and continued talking again, "The place I was heading to couldn't even be a fraction as perfect as what you have here. Tell you what, you give me a roof over my head and food as good as this, I'll be your bar master without pay and help out around here if I can. As for Gus, I'd be glad to hunt him down, provided we get more people on the case of course."
"Rheoden huh? can't say I've heard of it before. And skyscrapers... quite a straightforward name." Jameson ended his sentence with a chuckle followed by a sigh, "I think I'm done questing for the moment, but I'll have a look around your tavern. Oh yes, a cup of coffee and whatever food you think is best if you don't mind."

Jameson then went around the tavern, checking out the Activity Centre and notice board. The Activity Centre was quite peaceful, due to the fact that there was no one there, the walls were made of glass panes, Jameson couldn't see how any activity could be done here without any equipment. He then went over to the notice board, "The almighty Gus the Assassin... sounds like a dangerous fellow. Oh, says here they're hiring a bar master, might wanna ask the lady about those. What's her name anyway?" he said to himself.

Once he was done, he took a seat back at the glass counter awaiting his food and drink. He called out to the lady behind the counter, "Ma'am, what might be the name of such a fine lady like yourself, and says here you're lookin' to hire a bar master? Also who's this Gus fellow?"
@ineffable

"Heh yeah... Sorry about the dirt, you wouldn't believe what I just came out off." said Jameson with a bit of guilt and relief. "Nice cafe you have here ma'am, but what I meant to ask was which town or village am I in, I've never seen such big buildings before. Oh and a cup of coffee would be nice, but I'm not sure what kinda payment do you accept." Jameson paused for a moment before adding, "I could offer my services if you don't accept my currency." in fear that he might be rejected his first decent drink in his life.
Jameson came falling from the sky and onto the front door of the Cafe, surprisingly he was unharmed except for a few aches here and there. First he was in the middle of summoning a demon, the next he was sucked through a portal in the ground and now here he is. "Where in blazes am I?" he thought to himself while taking a look around. He saw familiarity in the cottages and houses, but the tall skyscrapers were a daunting sight to behold. He turned around and saw that he landed in front of some sort of tavern, might as well take a look inside and ask for directions.

Jameson entered the Cafe like a cliche cowboy from a western movie entering a saloon. The smell of freshly brewed coffee filled the room, it gave Jameson quite a pleasant surprise. He noticed a young lady drinking some beverage by the glass counter while another well-dressed young lad stood nearby, they were both around the same age as Jameson. The tavern was well kept as if it was from a fairy tale, certainly different from the taverns he was used to in his travels. He took off his hat and knocked the dirt off his boots, trying his best not to ruin the efforts of whoever cleaned this place and went towards the couple.

"Sir, Ma'am, I'm Jameson from a quiet little town way down south. Mind telling me where am I? This may sound crazy but I actually got teleported here through a portal if that makes any sense." Jameson eyed the beverage as he spoke, it smelled even better up close, he hasn't smelled such aromatic coffee in his life, or anything for that matter. Everything felt familiar to him, but at the same time brand new.
