She isn't terrified of being locked up with other crewmates. Considering that we all have our bad sides, I'd like to assume that everyone on the trip has something that they'd rather not have revealed about themselves. Most people are definitely not 100% friendly, and character depth may be the best way to go about it. She's not manipulative either, considering that again, it's typical that people like doing things for themselves and usually reach out to others if the reward proves lucrative. I think I'd rather have her be human instead of some fantastical type of character? In any case, I'll PM the rest and we'll go from there.

MISSION ROLE: Data Architect

APPEARANCE: Meera stands at 5'2" and carries an athletic build. She wears dark, shoulder-length hair which is typically formed into various buns in order to appear taller. When not working, she will most likely be found in sportswear due to the high fitness calibre of the program, using her free-time to exercise. Though her down-turned mouth makes her appear quite serious, Meera also bears strong facial features such as her straight eyebrows and nose. To balance this, horn-rimmed glasses are frequently donned upon her brown eyes at most times.

PERSONALITY: Even if she finds it difficult to be social, Meera is viewed as a helpful and caring woman. However, she will do most tasks with a hidden agenda in mind. Though not dangerously mad by any regard, she acts for the future, saving debts in case strings need to be pulled. Ambitious and striving for success, Meera fears breaking the appearance of a seemingly friendly personality, and struggles with the idea of having to be in such close quarters with her new teammates. Capable of creating relationships, most of the time people are kept at an arm's length. Generally, around those who know her well, Meera is described as sarcastic and relatively selfish, characteristics that she'd rather avoid in her work life.

She kept having horrific nightmares of being an art teacher, forced to watch dozens of children ignore shading or any sort of color theory. What was worse would be the constant requirement of pretending that they were doing fabulously. As if their atrocious little drawings were worthy of being compared to the likes of Klimt or Vermeer. No one appreciated you until you were dead, and unfortunately, Matilde was still expected to live on for a few more decades. Therefore, as an artist, her only choice was to either face the former, or become the sellout that she was already morphing into. It would have been incredibly lovely to survive as some sort of anarchist, living in the outskirts and painting whatever pleased her. But she was too comfortable with a life indoors, and had settled into the routine of eyeing bridges and tall buildings with a certain lust.

This time, her heavily tattooed arms were covered in various shades of pink and gold. She'd been commissioned to paint the anniversary gift for an unfulfilled housewife, its subject too childish to ever garner approval above the age of ten. The husband, however, had been overjoyed and paid generously. Matilde still struggled to be discovered by galleries, and though she had attained enough income to support herself, the woman detested having clients to appease. They were uncultured, and most likely the type of people who thought that Banksy was an underground artist.

"C'est quoi ce bordel?," she almost yelled, finally noticing the rest of the group. She'd woken up with the worst back pain, and the reality of sand in her underwear finally settled in. Matilde lived nowhere near the beach. The others were unruly looking and worse off than she. Grass and dirt had been caked into their clothing while sand seemed to be the only offending medium on her. One character stood out somehow familiarly, and Matilde could remember the Spanish model from several magazines.

Matilde wasn't sure whether to run off or not, and could feel her legs twitch in anticipation. She'd seen enough movies to know about what trafficking was, and looked around for any other suspicious characters. Bags filled, those that surrounded her seemed almost ready for the trip. Clearly, the young woman was on her own as she searched her own pockets. There was almost nothing to her name apart from a few coins, and Matilde wasn't even sure if she was still in France.

Name: Matilde Bourdon

Character's Age: Twenty-Six

Country of origin: France

Native language, accent (in English): She speaks English well, although carries a typical French accent.

Appearance: Matilde measures at a little over 5'6" and carries an athletic build. Sporting thick, straight brows and structured facial features, the girl wears an androgynous look. Hailing from the south of France, her complexion is tanned, which immediately contrasts against her dark green eyes, a combination that causes her to be considered mostly attractive. Matilde's straight brown hair is neatly kept to a pixie cut, mostly for practicality. She purposefully owns clothing that would be considered disposable, meaning whatever seems clean for that particular day. As an artist, Matilde is expected to come home with samples of her latest work painted all over her, leaving little room for proper self-care. Apart from her black horn-rimmed glasses, Matilde carries little else in terms of accessories most of the time. Her most unique, and expensive form of expression are the lines of ink that trace along every limb.
[At arrival: Her shoes are black converse with white laces, and she is currently wearing acid-wash jeans rolled up at the ankles. On top, she sports a thin white shirt, dotted with a rainbow of paint splatters. A thin chain is wrapped around her neck, made of 18k gold, while Matilde's face is once again adorned with her signature glasses.]

Strengths: The girl, to the disdain of her parents, is a talented painter. Though having covered a few forms of media, her strength is mostly in oils or charcoal. Due to having to sit for hours on end while working, she has developed an exceptional amount of patience as well, and uses this ability when dealing with others. Lastly, having lived so near to Spain, Matilde is also a skilled Spanish speaker.

Weaknesses: Unable to see without the use of her glasses, Matilde is extremely careful with their care. She also has Celiac Disease, which is an inability to process most food with wheat, which will prove to be a significant burden as she attempts to thrive in this new world. In terms of her personality, she tends to run away from most problems and is prone to anxiety attacks when overwhelmed.

Possessions: In her pockets she holds a couple of francs, a bobby pin, and one tube of chapstick.

Description: Ren typically wears variants red, a color she feels looks best on her character. Keeping her hair long has proven to be a challenge in terms of fighting or doing basic tasks, but the girl fears cutting it. She mostly worries about whether the hair will grow back, and doesn't wish to risk the possibility. So, she usually leaves her hair partially down, adorned with trinkets bought from admirers. Normally she'll wear thin, cloth shoes as opposed to the depiction. Though some characters have chosen to go barefoot, too much of a past life still lingers inside of her, so she finds a medium, something light and silent. Her clothing is usually loose when it comes to the arms, which allows Ren to make acrobatic feats more of a performance piece as she glides through the air. Another advantage is the ability to store hidden daggers. The girl is a dancer, which is how she pays for her lifestyle. Therefore, anything with a bit of flare helps as well. This means that along her outfit, there will generally be hints of gold jewellery.
