@Treue Since we're split up, we're all kind of waiting on myke to post. He's the one who can advance the story.
@potatochipgolem Thank you for your advice :)

I think you'll find, if you read my post history, I'm very capable with imagery, and generally go out of my way to describe settings whilst in character. Saying that, I appreciate that people would like the setting explained to them, and would be happy to provide a detailed set of instructions and explainations if they want to join with no prior knowledge of the setting. I simply assumed that since TES is so popular a series and since the demographic of these forums overlaps with its player base, everyone would be at least vaguely familiar.

Alao, since I don't particularly like certain changes made to TES lore, I will be clarifying in detail aspects about the setting which deviate from current cannon.

Anyway, the long and the short of it is that I am happy to explain the setting, and I agree that our characters should be foreign to the region, to allow us to explain the setting. I hope this is an expression of interest on your part, at any rate.
Hello,

I was wondering if there was much interest in a fantasy/horror dungeon crawler RP, preferentially set in the TES universe. It would feature a small group of adventurers who have assembled to enter a dungeon and dispel whatever seasonal evil has amass there.

Last year, I tried to get a similar RP set in Markarth during a plague off the ground, but it couldn't gain traction. Here is the link to learn more of that:

roleplayerguild.com/topics/87309-the-e..

If that does not intrigue, I was also toying with the idea of setting the RP at sea, in theIlliac Bay, in which the characters maneuverer through a naval blockade to defeat the necrotic sea-summons of a master worm cultist (a cult of necromancer).

Having said all this, I'd love to hear contributions and suggestions from prospective participants, and to use this as a brainstorm. The RP would ideally be short, easy to complete by the time Halloween finally rolls by.

Anyway, I look forward to reading your contributions
@Treue I just noticed, Ukraine seems like a good pick, especially from the perspective of our time.

Also, our posts can be unrelated to a degree now we've split up a little, so feel free to get something in before R3IGN, provided myke doesn't mind.
@KiritoAsuna I know, but I like to write with a dedicated group. Just my style. Anyway, enjoy, guys.
@Legion-114 Hey, wasn't this initially advertised for the advanced section? I don't begrudge anyone their fun, but I was looking for something a little more character driven and attentive, not the haphazard utilitarian writing present in casual. I wish you all a world of fun, but I'm not up for this one.

Good luck :)
@Vilhelm If I ever find my self in the US, New York and its pizza will be my first destination
@Treue There's actually two countries between Bavaria and Hungary, and Bavaria is a very rich region, especially Munich. Obviously, you can craft your character as you like, but I think the point of the colonists being generally Eastern European was to reflect the demographics that emigrated to the new world in the 19th century - those displaced by poor economic circumstances, or trapped still in feudal systems, who looked at the US, where the sons of farmers were millionaires and had statues in their likeness, and saw opportunity. I imagine that people left Earth in Halo for the same reason, because their homes were less prosperous, hence, they tend not to be G20 countries, as Germany is.

That being said, your character having German ancestry could still be an interesting angle. They'd probably still know Hungarian though, since it's Reach's first language for everyone but the military.

(Also, apologies, I may be taking this too seriously. I just love talking about Space-Colonies, the idea of them is why I do the slug of an Aerospace Engineering degree I'm studying right now)
@Treue Colonists in Halo: Reach seemed to be mostly Hungarian, few of the Western European nations seem to have emigrated to the colonies. I imagine that France, Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal etc. confined their colonies to the solar system, since they, along with the US, were richer and more able to fund colonies when it was just starting up.
All right, I'm finally done. I'm going to go ahead and guess I'm the only one here on BST?

EDIT: Also, I'd love to do a sequel to this, if our characters live through, and if we see it through to the end, later in the war, when the covenant have been glassing planets for fun for decades. I admit, the way 343 has handled the lore has made the post H3 human storyline bore me terribly, and dampen my enthusiasm, but peeking a little further into the Human Covenant War would be awesome as a goal.
