Awesome! I'll wait for one person!
Announcement!

The roleplay will be starting within the next couple of hours! Yay!

But first, I'd like to discuss the starting post. Because there are four nations, I wanted to talk about which ones the starting post should take place in. What would you all like?
@LunaAnarchist
Accepted!

@WilsonTurner
A) Runes don't exist, so no.
B) No.
C) If they're over 1000 years old, maybe. It takes a long time to master each type of magic.

Playing more than one character is absolutely fine!
And the tech level is kind of a mixture between all different times. Some areas are really modern while others are really... not modern!

That's absolutely fine!
I actually got a post done pretty early. :'D
The utter ridiculousness of the situation was astounding. She had been a regular Earthling not so long ago. What had gone wrong? The loud, grating screeches of the crowd caused Moonroll to cringe, her eyes narrowed against the bright lights of the outside. There was some sort of odd festival happening outside. But she hadn't received any notice of it. Only a couple of hours prior, hadn't he outside seemed dark, dull and calm? Or maybe her memory was betraying her? Despite her quick reflexes, her memory did tend to be rather poor. Regardless, this odd festival had popped up out of nowhere. She debated upon moving outside to check it all out, or remaining indoors.

It was then that she realized she wasn't alone in the room. She had been so focused on the festivities outside that she hadn't of noticed the others in the room, all of which seemed as peculiar as herself. Gripping her staff, she eyed the individuals who seemed to be in the same predicament as her. Yet, the words she wanted to say seemed to be caught in her throat. After her brief pause, she turned around shakily and breezed out the door, eyes widening as the horde of creatures overtook her. The sounds of the festival quickly drowned out any worries she had. She had never experienced such a grand party in her entire life!

The world around her seemed to whirl to the point where she was no longer conscious of her own decisions. Her very mind was swept up in the mad fray, her reasoning buried by the pure insanity of the situation. Bright golds and reds and oranges flew by her, and her vision quickly become one, bright scene as crowd gave ear-splitting shrieks. The chaos was something that she was embracing. The festival had influenced her entire system like a drug.

The melodic, ethereal female voice soothed her ears. And it actually grounded her slightly, even before she heard the terrible screams coming from down the street. Suddenly, she was jarred and jolted from the euphoria. Looking around wildly, she realized that she wasn't even near the building she had started from. Something was incredibly wrong here, and she didn't want to stick around to see what it was. The feeling of terror was amplified as the notice flashed before her eyes. Immediately, she decided it was time to run for her life.

Hurdling over a fallen creature, she raced down the street and away from the source of the screams, clutching her staff to her. She had a feeling that she would need it in order to survive.
...I like the second one! I'll probably go with that one.
