Hmm... Well, I'd start with an apology for making her upset, though it won't mean anything if it's not genuine. Then I'd probably ask a bunch of questions to try to understand her point of view, and figure things out from there. But, that's me. You're you.

Stella... My opinion isn't more important, just in general, and especially not during conflict between other people. Once she's had a bit of time, I think you should go talk to her, calmly, and see if you two can figure out how each other feels about this.

Personally, I don't think you cheated, per se. I think it was unsporting to rely on something that Dawn couldn't, and I can see why she would consider it cheating. But in a situation like this, I don't really think that my opinion matters. What matters is what the two of you think.

Yes, I would think so, but that's not important right now. Understanding your own feelings can be difficult, and understanding someone else's is even harder, but it's important to try.

That might be your thought on it, but what about Dawn's? Maybe for some reason she thinks that playing that game is what she's best at.

I guess that I would feel like she didn't really solve anything. Like she showed up and skipped the mystery completely.

Exactly. I imagine it would be even worse if her doing everything else better than you did, before even that happened. Dawn feels like you outshine her a lot, and so when she wanted to play something simple and fun, but we got so competitive, and especially since she feels what you were doing was cheating... That's a lot to deal with, right?

I'm not on anyone's side, I'm just trying to make sure you both understand what just happened. You're closer, so I'm going to start with you.
*Pauses*
Imagine for a moment, that Shion decided to start doing everything you like to do. She starts out and is immediately doing everything at twice the speed and twice the accuracy that you do them. She does each thing just... better, in some way or another. The only thing she doesn't do is your passion, detective work. Everything else she just knocks out of the park.
*Waits a moment in thought*
Then, one day, you invite her to watch you as you go about investigating a mystery. You plan to show her how amazing you are, and to have fun with your sister by doing so. But then, when you get there, and have spent a little while searching for clues, she brings forwards the key information that solves the case. She shows that she's able to beat you, even at the thing you're most passionate about and put all your effort into. With me so far?
*Holds a second before continuing*
Then, after she essentially solved the case on her own, you find out that the reason she found the clue was because she knew what had happened before it even became a mystery. She had known what had happened as it happened, rather than having to piece it together afterwords, and she even had a role in directly causing it to happen in the first place. How do you think you'd feel if that happened?
