He was holding a baby, his own child. It was a little girl with fluffy black hair, giggling. The whole daydream burst in flames as a ring of fire erupted from the ground, his clone laughing evilly.
"Rise Lord Zeref! Bring us the the new world!" He saw a hand extend from a set of black robes reached from the ring of fire. He was shocked awake. Lazarus was so exhausted that he had
fallen asleep on the bar counter.
He peeled his face from the bar counter upon hearing a soft voice beside him. It reminded him of Sasha, but it wasn't of course. It was Mithera. He wasn't really in the mood to be bothered and had half a mind to give her the boot, but she meant well so he couldn't go to that extreme. He rubbed his face lethargically
"Why do you care?" He said bluntly. Just as Mithera, kind as she was, would respond, another person had rushed up to them. It was clearly a new guild member.
"Crocus?" He sighed sarcastically rolling his eyes before thinking. It was just a little kid. If he was going to be a dad, he had to learn to be friendly with kids, even if they had no ties to him. Awkwardly, he forced a smile onto his face.
"Sure..." He grabbed a pencil and paper from the end of the counter.
"So... we're here." He drew the guild poorly.
"What you want to do is take this road..." he drew a wobbly line,
"...until you reach a cross roads..." He drew them.
"Take the left and keep going. You'll hit Crocus that way." He handed her the paper.
"Do you know who I am kid?" He was a famous wizard for crying out loud, if a kid wizard hadn't heard of him then he really needed to up his game in the guild.
He looked at Mithera.
"Don't you dare tell anyone I was nice to a kid you hear?" he joked. He thought to himself, perhaps today wasn't going to be so bad.
