Name: Lilliana Merrycure Epithet: TBA. Race: Human. Age: 21. Gender: Female. Appearance: Standing at 5'3 and weighing about 210 lbs due to B-mo, Lilliana is a girl with a bounce in her step and an air of humble confidence about her. She can typically seen wearing a dress or outfit of some kind, preferring a mixture of stylish, pretty, and practical. She likes to move and dance around, hence her usually wearing dresses with plenty of fabric for her to move, or with slits on the side for increased mobility. Perhaps her most prominent physical trait, her eyes sparkle with light and curiosity, and refract light, almost as if made from crystal or glass. Her wings on the other hand are not always visible, instead tending to be retracted into the strange crystal/metallic feathers that drape around her neck and atop her shoulders somewhat. Beyond that Lilliana has a medium bust and athletic legs and derriere. Oh, and orange hair, her hair is orange. Did you see it? Good.
Note: Lilliana is a little sensitive about her weight...even though the extra weight has to do with her, um, symbiotic companion B-mo.
Ambition: What with her being an aspiring woman of science, Lilliana really really wants to meet Vegapunk, or at least see as many of his technological marvels as she can, and to do that she must travel the world. Plus, since many of them were commissioned for the government and its marines, she figures that there's no better way to draw them out and crack them open than to join a crew and become enough of a threat to warrant their deployment. She's wild like that. As a side note, she'd also love to build something almost indestructible...and then find someone who can break it.

Quirks: Lilliana, Lily, Merry, well, she's mercurial as all hell and when she isn't super honed in on something her emotions and attention are a little all over the place. She can be cutesy, flirty, and curious about everyone in one moment, and then on to the next thing a minute later. She's also has the tendency to act forgetful even though she has nigh perfect memory. Also, don't tell her she has a machine fetish, and don't call her weird for it. SHE'S NOT WEIRD FOR LIKING MACHINES OKAY!
Personality: Lily has an intense fear of getting sand in her toes...also damaging her hands, arms, or wings in any way, but she likes handshakes, and milkshakes mmmn~. She goes absolutely nuts over the wounded, be they a person or an animal or a piece of technology, or a ship treating them like a mother hen treats her chicks. She takes great joy in helping others, even if those 'others' aren't people. She's generally pretty selfless, looking out for her friends, comrades, and feeling responsible when they get hurt—even when they're not strictly her responsibility. She beats herself up emotionally when she can't help, or sees people hurting, feeling as if she should have been there to do something. Of course, perhaps the three most notable traits to keep in mind are as follow:
1.) While Lillian is the sort of person who is very difficult to anger or annoy, tending to laugh instead, she is also the sort that will get angry if her things are broken, stolen, or if those she cares for are hurt. She will go from 0 to 100 real fuckin' quick if someone beats up people who don't deserve it, and/or her friends, which can result from her turning into what many think a somewhat mercurial saint to a vengeful demon. You know what they say, no wrath like a woman.... Shut up, that's the whole quote
2.) She's outright obsessive over advanced technology and her creations. When she is tinkering, mending, or healing someone she is not to be interrupted because she will go ballistic, and then go back to tending to whatever it is. She also can't stand shoddy work, so remember that.
3.) She can get incredibly absorbed in the world around her or her activities, but not both at once, giving her a weird sort of tunnel vision where she can either see the big picture and loses out on the small components, or vice versa. As a result, she can become embroiled in the mechanics of a toaster in one moment, with the rest of the world being dead to her, and then later she can understand the workings of an entire city, but not get the toaster...or the people around her. There's just, some kind of disconnect in her brain it seems.
Growing up on a small, little known island in South Blue to Iman and Callie Merrycure, Lilliana came into the world of a happy couple and community both. Her childhood was spent playing with the children of the village, and shadowing her parents when she wasn't, her curiosity driving her ever forwards. Both parents, wanting a bit of a stake in what she did later in life, taught her some of their craft, but it was her mother's that intrigued her most. She loved tinkering, she loved science and technology, finding the toys and inventions her mom made for her and the village absolutely fascinating even at a young age.
She was building her own little devices by the age of 7, and so her mother took her into her shop and taught her traditionally. However, when she wasn't in the shop she was out in the morning playing with kids on the beach. On one unfortunate day her friends and her were swimming and she went a bit too far out. While she did eventually manage to get back to shore, her friends had pulled back to the edge of the forest where the sand ended...and had brought her shoes with them. As a result, the sands of their island—ever littered with metal particulate—seared her feet as she ran to them, getting in her toes. They didn't heal for several weeks, and they only did because of the expertise of her father, who was the village doctor.
She never forgot that terrible burning feeling of sand in her toes and on her feet...and she likely never would.
The next year, at 8, she and her friends ventured into the island's rainforest and explored some of its caves. Being a curious little adventurer, Lilliana made her way deeper than all of her friends, and despite them telling her to come back, she kept on, eventually falling down a hole and landing in a huge chamber oddly filled with blue unnatural light. She wandered through, a little scared, but more curious than anything—her eyes filled with wonder as she looked upon the strange silver tree-lookin' thingies before her. She placed a hand on the trunk of one and found it only faintly warm to the touch. Looking up at it she had wondered what it was.
Then, having heard something fall nearby, she ran in that direction to investigate. What she found was a large seed-shaped metallic object about the size of her two balled fists put together. Kneeling down cautiously, her curiosity overtaking her, she reached out and touched it. Nothing happened. Frowning a bit, hse picked it up and decided to take it back with her. Having brought a backpack, she put it in there and then looked for a way out. She never found it and many hours passed, resulting in her crying herself to sleep, so scared was she that she'd never be found.
When she woke up however, she was out of the cave. She felt different, weird, but wasn't sure why so grateful was she to be out. Running home she was only notified of what had changed when her mother brought her hands over her mouth in shock. Something had attached itself to her neck, shoulders and back...something metallic, and the seed-like object was gone. The next few days were spent trying to remove it, but to no avail, it was integrated too deeply with her body for that.
After some time she found that the thing was helpful, every so often picking things up for her, or forming an arm to catch her when she tripped and fell. She started testing it, trying to make it do things willfully and eventually she succeeded and it became more active and more useful. After two or so years she could use it in her tinkering and sometimes it would help her without her consciously wishing it. She took to calling the creature B-MO as a nickname for what her parents had titled it.
While they had asked her where to find it, and she'd tried to show them, they could never find that cave again...strangely enough.
As Lilliana grew up, becoming an adolescent, she found that her wish to explore and to create only grew and with B-MO on her, most of the people in the village didn't have any interest in...well, her. That or they only had interest in B-MO, which just wasn't acceptable to the teenage girl that she was. She grew frustrated with her small town life, craving adventure.
Worrying after her, her mother decided to show Lily something special, and so took her out to a part of the village she'd never been to. The power plant. A marvel of science, the power plant was like nothing she'd ever seen before. So many moving parts, and it generated power for the entire island. It amazed her. Wondering who had made it, she asked, and lo and behold her mom said “A man named Vegapunk.” Wowed, Lily, in the ensuing days, became obsessed with reading anything she could about the man.
There wasn't much about him, but there was plenty about his inventions and scientific prowess. Her obsession grew into a nerdy little crush, and that crush fed into her want for adventure. So it was that on her 15th birthday she told her mother she wanted to sail the seas. Not terribly surprised, her mom told her that she was to learn medicine from her father first. It took a few days but Lily finally gave in and accepted. Thus the next five years were spent training with her father to learn the medical and biological sciences. After that...it was merely a question of how she would go to sea.
She'd soon find out.
Combat Specialties
Skills and Abilities: Lilliana's most prominent natural ability is her memory, which is almost perfect—though she likes to act like it's not. As a result of this, and her mercurial nature, she has picked up a great many skills, though she is not overly proficient in many of them. They are listed below:
Sewing.
Science: Biological/Medical/Electrical/Engineering etc.
Tinkering/building/disassembling, and understanding machinery.
Can tell where she is using her memory, but only on land. At sea she's hopelessly lost.
Singing.
Beyond the above she's studied a little bit of a few martial arts, though she never had a teacher. As a result she just has a technical understanding of combat, rather than a mechanical one meaning that if anything she's a novice or amateur at best. While she has rough housed—much to the chagrin of her parents—with some of the children of the village earning her some bruises here and there over the years, she is in no way an amazing combatant. Still, with the augmentations of B-MO, and the crazy levels of dexterity she possesses from tinkering and her medical work she can be difficult to deal with. The aforementioned augmentations have the result of enhancing her bones considerably and amplifying her lift strength considerably. This makes it difficult to tear her apart, or for her to tear muscles, or for her to break bones though she is otherwise just as vulnerable as they next gal.
As a result of the symbiote B-MO, she can be seen moving objects 2-8 times her own weight, though her striking strength is around twice that of an athletic woman of her size at best. Beyond this, she is denser than most people, making it either easier or harder to make her fall over depending on if she is braced against it or not. It also means she has more weight to throw around than her frame would imply. Lastly, one should note a unique trait she was born with which is as follows:
Oh yeah, and she's like, really good at figuring out how things are put together even without taking them apart. Her understanding gets exponentially more accurate as she breaks something more, or looks inside it.
Devil Fruit: N/A. Haki: Locked.
B.M.O: Short for Biological Metallic Organism, this creature typically takes the form of a metal/crystalline feather-like scarf around Lilliana's neck and shoulders. The reality is it is an organism that grows deep deep inland of the island she grew up on, and that attached itself to her early in life. As a result the organism has grown into and onto her body, integrating itself into her biological make-up in a symbiotic relationship. As a result, Lilliana's body has been hybridized, making her more physically strong by reinforcing muscle and bone with the strange organism's own material. The creature has few real needs, though it does require to occasionally ingest iron or other materials that would usually be toxic in large quantities. As a result, she is essentially immune to food poisoning, and especially mercury.
The B.M.O, due to connecting directly to her spinal column and brain, basically affords her both a defense and offensive tool, not to mention a pair of limbs she can willfully control. The B.M.O will generally remain complacent to her whims unless it senses that she is in great danger, in which case it will consume a great amount of stored metallic resources in her body, and then form or spherical metal cocoon to defend her. It can also defend her from strikes on its own while she works.
The B.M.O has two states and three forms at current time. It can be a liquid metal—though not hot—or it can be solid, making it resistant even to things such as bullets, swords, or blunt weapons. As to its forms, it can generally become a protective sphere, wings, or it can morph into several pairs of thin spindly arms, with fingers just as spindly. Combinations of these forms are possible, but she's not as good at controlling them. The arms are far stronger than she is.
Lastly it should be noted that while she can't make it take on much else at the moment in terms of forms, that she can have it “melt” into a viscous liquid-like state where she can guide it, and then will it to solidify.
Medical Supplies: This is a bag containing supplies for treating the wounded. Bandages, sewing tools for knitting flesh. Scalpels, ointments, pain killers, that sort of thing. This bag is very orderly.
Tinkering Supplies: Full of various unique materials, and random metal scraps, used for tinkering. She doesn't always carry this. This bag is not orderly, but she tends to know where things are.
Advanced Compass: Works on islands, but does not tell you where other islands are. The Compass adjusts to the local area via a series of advanced dials and the like, allowing the user to tell certain directions, but little else. This mostly prevents going in circles
Multi-tool: Welding, cutting, etc. She uses it for tinkering and measuring. It was a gift from her grandmother.
Locket: A gift from her mother. It holds immense sentimental value. A strange symbol on the outside, a picture of her mom and dad on the inside, and a strange mechanism she hasn't noticed nor figured out yet.
Fighting Style: She prefers to fight either wildly or defensively as her combat style mirrors her personality in some ways. However, usually she fights with a plan, breaking her opponent's behavior and abilities down in her head, and then putting them back together to create as accurate a model as she can, after which she finds a way to break the model and then her adversary. She usually fights in defense of others, but she will defend herself and her creations if and when necessary. She tends to be a close range combatant, relying heavily on B-MO as her primary weapon and tool.
Techniques:
Melty Arms: A defensive technique, Lillian wills B-mo to become a liquid, then lets it coat her arms, after which point she solidifies it in sections or when necessary essentially armoring her arms without limiting her movements.
FIST!: A simple technique used only after she's used Melty Arms, Lily winds back her arm, and then slams her biometal coated fist right into something, or someone. Has enough force behind it to send light-medium sized/weight objects a few meters, to make someone stagger, and/or to knock the air out of someone or stun them briefly. The attack is very fast, but is easy to predict if you've seen it before or know combat better than her. The technique has variations such as UPPERCUT!
Syringer!: She throws a loaded syringe at someone in need of the heals. The syringe depressed upon sinking into skin, giving that good healing medicines! Useful for on the field medical help, but is usually just a temporary fix, as it's mostly an adrenaline and painkiller shot. Conversely she can use this on enemies, as it will give them a power boost, and then once it wears off they'll be exhausted. Plus any injuries they gain while affected by the drug will seem less severe than they really are.
B-mo's Defense: A last ditch defense that can only be initiated by B-mo. This will occur only if she is in such danger that she feels she can't defend herself. When activated her wings will liquify, metal will seep from her pores rapidly, and then solidify into a sphere of metal encasing her body. Until her fear or weakness subside, or someone comes to her rescue, this sphere will remain in place. Still, the ability has limited defensive properties, as while she can get air whilst in it, she is very vulnerable to—say—being dropped into the water where she will not float. Additionally the biometal is not an ultimate defense as it can be drilled through, broken, or melted with sufficient force or heat. Also, sending her flying into something hard/with great force, will still affect her while she's within as the force will still transfer through, likely doing damage while she is inside the sphere.
Listening, somewhat intrigued by the creature's nature, though he had not heard of a 'griffon' or this Tharraleos' species before he still found the explanation very helpful, if odd given the circumstances. Then, it, no he, made a rather intriguing proposition. Was that a challenge? "You issue me a challenge Aerasginero?" He asked, a smile coming over his helm-hidden visage. The knight chuckled slightly, but seeing as he had been about ready to fight the creature anyways, this was rather fortuitous. Now he could not be seen as breaking code, which was much appreciated really.
Letting his hand slip down from the pommel of his blade to its handle, he gripped it and then pulled it from the ground, before letting his arm fall to his right side along with the hand that held it. There was a smile in his voice as he took a step forward with his left foot, bent it at the knee, and angled his body mostly sideways, making himself a smaller target. His armored wings remained partially furled behind him as he looked to the great beast, the being Tharraleos. "I shall take you up on that offer then, as a fellow warrior and a Champion of my kind, I would be remiss to turn down such an opportunity to test my mettle. So, let us dance then," he said and as the words left his mouth the Blade of Rhay released a crescendo of light energy, and then the area around Raelis darkened to the same level of ambient light that prevailed elsewhere. The blade however, continued to glow, it was now as a glowing ember of a star, made to take the form of a blade.
Raelis began to circle Tharraleos, sizing the great creature up. It would not do to make the first move if he didn't have to.

The ability gives her 20/20 vision, an eye for detail, and the ability to see through several layers of most things. The denser something is, the harder it is to see through. The ability however, unless mastered—which she has not—is fairly strenuous on the individual's eyes. As a result of her lack of mastery she can use the ability for about 1 minute before getting a piercing headache or her vision remaining unfocused for 3 or so minutes after. She can currently only see about two layers down through materials that aren't super dense.

Rank: C rank. Position: Chuunin. Chakra Nature: Fire, Wind, and Water.
Additional Appearance Details: Stands at 5'3 and weighs average for her height. She's got a lean build with gentle curves and usually walks with a cheerful skip.
History: At least three paragraphs.
Personality: Cheerful, honest, and intelligent. Forgiving.
Base Weapons & Items: X Bandages X Wire X Kunai X Shuriken X Smoke Bombs X Smoke Pellets X Explosive Tags X Senbon.
Specialized Weapons & Items:
Name of Weapon or Item: Hahane(Blade Feather).
Description: Curved pieces of bladed armor of which she keeps multiple copies, though only two that are her size. These pieces of armor are jointed and go on the user's arms—or wings—and serve as weapons and defensive tools. Her own pair protect only the backs of her arms, but can extend 3 feet forwards from below her hands into serrated wing-shaped blades that take on the likeness of feathers.
The many smaller versions of this item are always outfitted to her birds, and they line the front of the wing, trailing onto the underside and top of the wings into long thin blades that go backwards. The leading edge is also sharp, allowing the wings to cut. All weapons are infused with wind chakra, making them as light as air, an amplifier to speed, and extremely sharp.
====================
Name of Weapon or Item: Bird Armor.
Description: Armor along the back, breast, and top of the head of her birds, as well as on the beak, making their bite far more deadly and allowing them to pierce through some things without damage to themselves. Armor is infused with wind and lightning chakra and is thus exceptional at piercing, amplifies speed and reaction time, as well as accuracy of movement, and is as light as air despite being metal. The talons of the birds have metal bits lined into them, which are infused with the same, giving their talons greater cutting power.
Name of Technique: Senkō-fū(穿孔風'Piercing Wind'). Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu. Rank: C. Range: 15 meters. Nature Type: Wind. Handseals: 3. Description: Utilizing the necessary handseals, the user moulds wind chakra with their hands, mouth, or in her case summon, and then releases it. This results in a piercing spike of wind that is pointed on two ends, and possesses a 4 inch diameter in the middle. The attack is capable of piercing leather armor, or if it cannot pierce, will burst at the point of impact, the entire body of air slamming into the target and delivering enough force to send someone flying at least 5 meters. Can be layered over a body part or summon and used to strike.
Weakness: Affinity weaknesses.
====================
Name of Technique: Kiyō Sonae(器用備え'Dexterous arrangement'). Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu. Rank: D. Range: N/A. Nature Type: N/A. Handseals: N/A. Description: Channeling chakra through one's own muscles, nerves, and other necessary tissues—typically within the arms, wrists and hands—the user enhances their ability to skillfully manipulate objects as well as increasing the speed at which they can do so. This technique should not be utilized for extended periods of time as it causes undue strain on the affected body parts. Despite this, it is relatively useful, and while it is a simple technique based on typical principles, it does require decent chakra control to fully utilize. This may make techniques such as Chakra Flow or other projected chakra-based abilities.
Weakness: Listed above.
====================
Name of Technique: Asshuku Saya(圧縮鞘'Compression Sheath'). Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu. Rank: C. Range: N/A. Nature Type: Wind. Handseals: 2. Description: Preforming one handseal to initiate the technique, the user will use Chakra Flow on an item, pressing wind affinity chakra into it. Once activated any air that comes into contact with the implement will be pulled into a thin layer of chakra coating the weapon and pressurized. The more air pulled in, the greater the pressure. The user may use a second handseal to release the wind, otherwise it will be released/detonated upon contact with a foreign surface, creature, or individual.
Weakness: Requires some kind of object, typically throwable, be on the user's person, possesses the typical affinity weaknesses of wind release techniques, and is not terribly powerful unless given time to build up.
====================
Name of Technique: Tenka(点火'Ignition'). Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu. Rank: C. Range: N/A. Nature Type: Fire and lightning. Handseals: 1. Description: The user exudes fire chakra, then lightning, encasing the fire with the latter, then launches it. The lightning carries the fire at high speed and upon striking the flame bursts from the lightning. The technique has a mild burning and shocking effect, but is faster than it is powerful. Can be released from the hands or feet and immediately detonated at will.
Weakness: Affinity weaknesses, but is best stopped by earth or water.
====================
Name of Technique: Shikke-hane(湿気羽'Laden-wings'). Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu. Rank: C. Range: N/A. Nature Type: Wind. Handseals: 2 for remote. Description: Remote activation requires 2 handsigns, but otherwise the technique can be activated at will be exuding wind chakra in the shape of wings around the arms, wings of the user or intended target, creating blades of wind, which also allow the affected to move fast or create great gusts by flapping/moving their arms. Extends one's range half again the length of each affected limbs.
Weakness: Affinity weaknesses.
====================
Name of Technique: Hikōki no Susumu-chō(飛行機の諧調'Flight of Concord'). Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu; Sensory; Supplementary; Fuinjutsu. Rank: B. Range: N/A. Nature Type: N/A. Handseals: 6 then 1 held. Description: Activating the technique with 6 handseals, the user links the sight, and intentions of their person with those of their bird companions, allowing them to control them as an extension of themselves, and see from their eyes by holding a handsign. The handsign is followed by a movement of chakra which denotes which bird they are accessing, or if they are accessing all of them. Control is maintained without this handsign though. The technique also links the user's chakra to the birds, allowing them to use jutsu with their bodies as the point of origin.
Weakness: If the hands are damaged the user may become incapable of using the necessary handsigns. When the user is perceiving through any of the birds they lose visual perception of their own body for as long as they look through the birds eyes, though they can still move around and whatnot.
Name of Technique: Awateru(慌てる'Flurry'). Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu. Rank: C. Range: Personal. Nature Type: Wind. Handseals: N/A. Description: The user twirls, much like Wind Release: Vacuum Wave, releasing a curtain of wind chakra that spirals around them so long as they continue spinning. This attack is used as a defense, typically and will throw off trajectories and make approach difficult.
Weakness: Must continue turning, limiting the user's movements.
1 huge bird summon that, standing, is her height (5'3), making it mountable, as well as dangerous due to its armor, talons, and ability to listen to commands.
Eight chickadees. Seven of the Eight Chickadees are stored in a seal on the one Chickadee that is with her at all times.
As seasons have cycles, so do war and peace; prosperity and ruin. While the world was once dictated by the wills of the great beasts that live in it, Imperial creatures more regale and refined than any royalty, it has fallen to the fate of man and their clashing desires. This world we share has had more time pass than we can fathom, yet it has never been whole or perfect for a single moment in its history. As with the seasons changing, each lack what others desire. As with each state of the world, there are those that wish for more and it is true that this world has always lacked something....
That was until the Great Azure Dragon and the Majestic Vermilion Bird made the choice to put the world into the hands of those whom live within it. To usher in an era of man like none other. It is said, by the eldest of elders within every corner of the world, that there was once a great warlord named Tatasuko and a humble wise man known only as the Sage. The warlord Tatasuko coveted the lands of the Sage and thus conquered them ruthlessly despite the peaceful nature of the Sage and his kin. When the Sage, with mere words, stood up to Tatasuko, the warlord stole the Sage's sons. He murdered one and sacrificed the other to the great Phoenix, whom had shed its title as a mere Vermilion Bird.
The Sage, having lost everything and most importantly his family, sought out the Great Azure Dragon, his sovereign beast and the counterpart to the new Phoenix. The great Dragon, distraught with the pain and suffering of a worthy, faithful example of mankind, presented the Sage with six divine trials:
The Trial of Earth was first, and was passed when the Sage used only words to unite those who would stand against the Warlord, saving thousands from depravity and darkness.
The Trial of Fire was second, and was passed when the Sage again used only words to stop rebellion and unneeded conflict, saving the people.
The Trial of Wind was third, and was passed when the Sage understood his followers, their passions, their goals, and their values, uniting not just the people, but himself aswell.
The Trial of Lightning was fourth, and was passed when the Sage was given a quest to leave his people and find the Dragon Shrine. He had saved not only them but himself from destruction, thus was worthy of meeting the Dragon once more. His journey took him through the world and fostered within him an understanding beyond just his people, but one of life itself.
The Trial of Water was fifth, and was passed only when the Sage understood that humility before the Dragon included that of his people and previous trials. He was a living creature, as all things were and so deserved respect.
The Sage ascended to the Dragon Shrine where he was rewarded not only for passing the trials, but also his compassion and love for his son. There, the Dragon gifted the Sage with the Rinnegan - the eyes of the Dragon - and the ability to control chakra, life energy itself. The Sage was then told by the dragon, whom had given him a portion of his own strength, that if the Sage should return with his son and having defeated Tatasuko who himself had the power of the fallen Phoenix, he would be given one final gift. The story goes that a great battle, one that shaped the land itself and changed all of life in a single event, resulted in the victory of the Sage. The Sage saved his surviving son and banished the Phoenix, but through his compassion for all life he could not bring himself to kill Tatasuko. He allowed the warlord, fallen like the Phoenix he worshiped, to flee into the veins of the Earth, never to be seen again.
The Sage returned to the Dragon with his son soon after, explaining his successes and failures. The Dragon, however, was pleased and told the Sage only that he had passed the final trial: The Trial of Yin and Yang. As he respected all life and did not take it, the Sage was granted the ability to give life by the Dragon, thus ushering in the era of the Sage of Six Paths. The Sage served the Dragon for the remainder of his life and continued to fight the Phoenix, but never attempted to end him. This was the new cycle. This was the new way. Even the Juubi was sealed by the Sage and given a chance at life in ways that stretched the imagination. He even loved his rescued son far too much to intervene with the Curse of Hatred placed upon him by the fallen Phoenix, fated to plague generations henceforth.
The Sage taught his trials, his journeys, his battles and his idealogy to countless apprentices in a style he called Ninshuu. As all life was connected, he wished to use the life energy he was taught to control to bring all life together. He sent his apprentices--the first masters of Ninshuu--across the world to teach the world their ways. As time passed and the Sage did as well, the following generations took Ninshuu and stripped it of its core values thus creating ninjutsu. Sages became Shinobi. Masters became veterans. The teachings and trials of the Sage, slowly but surely, were cast aside and forgotten.
Those that mastered ninjutsu passed it on to only who they trusted most, eventually creating clans. Most have blood ties, and even some have such close ties that they have developed abilities and methods of manipulating chakra only they can use. These have become Kekkei Genkai, bloodline limits. New techniques have been created, limits have been pushed, and the imagination has brought forth power unconsidered by the Sage himself. These clans, ever expanding, growing more powerful with each generation, have recently begun their friction with each other. The world is not black and white anymore. Or, should one say, Azure and Vermilion. There are more sounds than can be counted, more leaders than any treaty can keep content.
It is in this political climate that the clans fall to warring amongst themselves as tensions reach their breaking point. Clans slaughtered, alliances made, coalitions formed. As the years pass blood continues to stain the earth's poor soil until finally the skirmishes gradually cease. The land is left bloodied, the people ragged and tired. The war, in future years, will be known as the First Shinobi War, but for now it has no name...it is a nebulous tragedy, tainting everything and everyone who took part. Ruining generations of shinobi.
Afraid of those outside their newfound allies, clans begin to congregate, form small settlements. Perhaps it is the beginning of a new era, regardless it is the rise of the great shinobi villages. What form they will take however is unknown.
Still time passes and people forget the horrors of war and something stirs as the five nations lord their power over the world. Away from prying eyes...something stirs.
It is the time to shed the Jaded Ideals of the past and shape the Continuum's future. Be it great...or terrible.
Naruto: Continuum is an alternate universe of the popular Naruto manga and anime. Created with the collaborated ideas of many and a large pool of assistants, this roleplay was designed by yoshua171 to give people a chance to help have a large hand in a Naruto world before it was even created. The "ideal" is not only to create a fantastic roleplay, but to weave a community of like-minded individuals together to create a strong social fabric for the roleplay. Ideas have been bounced around and evolved over time, taking new forms and becoming parts of the roleplay when at first their rough forms may have not as easily fit. This is the true ideal. To sand down any idea and build it back up until it fits perfectly, and create a community that can help in that process. In that sense, the roleplay has thus far been successful, as many new ideas have been and are constantly being incorporated into the roleplay and reviewed by its community.
All players--for a long while--will join a fairly young organization known as Mabiki. It is a place for the angry and the downtrodden. It is an organization formed to revel against the oppressive rule of the Five Nations. You are some of its first shinobi and you will rise up and seize your freedom from the world even if the cost is blood.
Those who fall into this category will be managing the antagonist force and outlying elements of the world in addition to playing in the main organization known as Mabiki. Aside from my own role as GM,
Notable Information:
"Welcome to Naruto: Continuum, If you’ve gotten down to this point and intend to still reading, I’m happy. If you intend to join, even better! Here I will give you some additional information that was not contained in the history above.
The Daimyo, and thus the Land of Iron, exist already. As such the world is separated into the Elemental countries we know so well. They are the Land of Wind, the Land of Lightning, the Land of Fire, and Land of Water, and the Land of Earth respectively. The villages have just begun to take shape and it is up to you to decide what shapes they take.
The map below is primarily for geographical purposes so that we can measure distance and the landmarks of various areas.
I hope you enjoy our RP, and feel free to come to me or my Advisers if you have any questions."
Timeline Notes
>The Sage died three-hundred-eighty-Seven years ago, which was also when the Juubi was split into the nine Bijuu. >The First Shinobi War lasted 15 years. >It has been 87 years since the end of the Shinobi War.
The Rules
1. Metaphors, similes, analogies and other figures of speech used in any description made by a roleplayer are not considered 'true' and can be contested and/or debunked by a Moderator or two-thirds vote of the present player roster. This applies to any background, history or description of an item, character or event not made by Staff.
--In laymen's terms, do not try to slip in loopholes by using clever wording or hiding abilities throughout your sheet that ought not be there. Be straightforwards, and honest about your characters abilities and I’ll never have to point you back at this rule.
2. Anything created by the players for the setting, or for their characters, is subject to use and subjugation by the Staff. This does not apply to specific characters or items, but it does apply to anything not approved into the setting and used as descriptors for their characters, items, or events, such as NPCs.
--Basically, if you make a clan, I may make an NPC, as can anyone else, within that clan without asking first. If you make three ancestral weapons for your clan and only use one for your character, then a GM, or other individual, may use said weapon for another character or plot point. That’s the jist of things at least.
3. The staff/moderators have the privilege of going back and changing any aspect of this roleplay, including characters, events and even dialogue which have happened and/or were not created by /and/ subsequently accepted by Staff; anything that was accepted will require approval from its creator.
--Myself and/or any future GMs may go back and make changes where needed, though we cannot do so after a character, or the like, is accepted unless the creator of said character gives permission.
4. I, and any other GM have the right to end an arc and skip it with a timeskip resulting in whatever edits, additions, and/or plot events we see fit from the last posted point in the Arc, till the point after the time skip. We may kill a character or the roleplay entirely at any time and that they decide whom may create a splinter RP in the same extended universe. I will usually ask to kill someone’s character, and will try to work with people if we need to skip an arc entirely.
5. Going hand-in-hand with the first rule, I and the other GMs are allowed to interpret metaphor, simile, and the like as we see fit as long as our interpretation does not contradict previous actions in the course of the RP.
6. No godmodding, metagaming or powerplaying. If you forgot what these mean, read below:
Godmodding: The practice of controlling someone else’s character without their express permission to do so. Even minor actions can fall into this category. Autohitting falls into this area as well, as does being able to dodge/block anything/everything in an unrealistic or unexplained fashion.
Metagaming: The practice of your character knowing OOC knowledge that they had no way of reasonably obtaining. This will include suddenly figuring out someone else’s abilities/jutsu and how it functions after it has been told or narrated in the IC. Unless there is a logical manner to discovering the information and you successfully achieve such, your character should not and will not know it. I may chew people out for doing this. Seriously.
Powerplaying: Basically making your character godawful powerful for the sake of being powerful, often without the character having any real substance (personality, backstory/history etc). Not as terrible an offense, and it won’t happen since I’ll be grading CSes. To avoid this consider whether or not your technique/Kekkei genkai/Weapon/Armor abilities can each be countered in some manner and that together they do not make you invincible, if they are counterable, then they’re likely fine.
7. This roleplay, as a collaborative project, is about working with one another, and while there is certain to be conflict, due to the nature of the Narutoverse, please remain civil. If an issue cannot be solved amongst yourselves and it is not strictly personal, refer to the GM(s), aka myself (for the moment). If it is personal, you will be promptly told to take it to PMs, and if you don’t, there can and will be consequences for disrupting the peace.
8. My word is law, if I say no to something, or allow something, it’s typically a done deal. If I however missed something, feel free to inform me. I am not beyond reproach.
9. This is an AU(Alternate Universe) roleplay, and as such none of the canon characters ever existed excluding the Rikudo Sennin (Sage of Six Paths) and his two sons.
10. If you need to take a leave of absence, tell myself or someone in the RP who can get the message to me, first. I will be quite aggravated if people disappear all willy-nilly. If you have lost your will to be in the RP, exit your character, or at least tell me you are officially leaving. This RP works on a seven(7) day rule, in which you should post. At the end of seven(7) days you will be notified that you are holding up the RP. At this point you will be given five(5) additional days to post. If you do not notify us why you are unable to post, your character will be delegated to NPC status at which point it can be controlled by GMs or approved players as well as killed. If you supply sufficient explanation, your character will be guided out of the way so as not to further hinder posting. This rule does not apply to interactions that are not holding up the RP.
11. When one begins to develop a piece of equipment, jutsu, or otherwise ability one should get it approved or modified by the GM BEFORE the technique/equipment is gained by the character. This is to prevent one from gaining things ICly that would be game breaking and retains the necessary amount of balance on a given character.
Banned/Limited Jutsu
This list is subject to edits as I may see fit to add other techniques to it. Additionally, game-related jutsu, kekkei genkai, weaponry, or hiden are not considered canon and thus are not available for use.
Shunshin, the Body Flicker technique, and Lightning Release armor cannot be used simultaneously--End of story.
Body Replacement Technique
The Body-replacement technique requires you first mark an object with your chakra. Once marked, you must execute two handseals to activate it, after which it will activate 1 second later switching the user’s position with the marked object.
Body Flicker Technique
Individuals below C rank may not use this technique in combat unless it is their main focus. Those of B rank can use it 3 times and those above can use it up to 5 times in combat. You can be hit while it is in use, which will interrupt it as it is high speed movement, not teleportation.
Senjutsu
Senjutsu may be learned at around chuunin rank, but it will be rudimentary at first and require diligent training and development. Tapping into senjutsu will only be truly useful if one intends to become a fully-fledged sage somewhere down the line. Otherwise any senjutsu talents/abilities you learn are likely to be grossly limited due to lack of skill/training as well as dedication to the art. Sages will be around the same level as, other individuals of their respective rank.
The Uchiha
For the moment the maximum amount of player characters possessing the Sharingan is 2. For now these characters must all be Uchiha, meaning you cannot make someone who has stolen the Sharingan and implanted it. This is subject to change depending on the circumstances and the outcomes of the roleplay.
The Mangekyou Sharingan, when unlocked is not immediately an Uchiha’s default doujutsu. They may continue to use their normal sharingan, choosing when to activate or deactivate their Mangekyou. Typically you will be required to gain the Mangekyou ICly. However, an exceptional character sheet, which is sufficiently balanced, may be accepted with it.
Amaterasu will be unable to be put out with water or oxygen deprivation as per the usual, but it can be absorbed via seals, or filtered out/sealed in advanced seals/barriers if they are not outright destroyed by the flames first. The flames will move slowly. These weaknesses will apply to scorch release techniques as well, which must be learned from an Uchiha via observation or direct tutoring.
Susanoo may not possess the Yata mirror or the Sword of Totsuka. Its manifestation is not instantaneous and the skeleton/figure created by the technique is incredibly heavy, disallowing high-speed movement almost entirely during its activation.
Both Susanoo and Amaterasu will possess high chakra costs no matter the user’s chakra control.
As the Mangekyou was originally stated to give unique abilities to each Uchiha who awakened it, this will be the case in this RP. You may choose to possess Amaterasu and/or Susanoo, but you do not have to. Any given Mangekyou Sharingan has a maximum of three abilities, two if you wish both to be expansive and particularly potent.
The Sharingan will not allow perfect replication/prediction of people's techniques ever. Replication of people's techniques can certainly happen, but depending on the skill of the Uchiha it will take them less or more training to properly copy someone's technique(s). Prediction will work, but only 2 steps ahead with normal sharingan and 4 with Mangekyou unless you have a unique ability of your own construction for that. Keep in mind that eventually, with overuse of Mangekyou, an Uchiha will go blind and lose their sharingan's abilities overall.
Izanami, Izanagi, Kotoamatsukami, and Kamui are outright banned and thus do not exist in this verse. The Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan's existence is a fiercely guarded secret. The requirements are both for a transplant to occur in addition to others that will not be detailed. There is a chance of failure, in which the transplanted Mangekyou will not render the eyes 'Eternal,' but will instead act as a sort of 'reset' to their state.
The Rinnegan
Do not ask for it, for the answer will be, no. It does exist, though the form it exists in are somewhat different. When and if the Rinnegan is implemented only two people, maximum, may have it. Possessing the Rinnegan will not grant the individual all five affinities unless they obtain both types.
The two types of Rinnegan are as such. There is the Paths Rinnegan (eyes of the Dragon), which allows the holder the potential to learn and utilize the six paths. The second form is the Sensory Rinnegan, which allows sensory abilities roughly equivalent to the Byakugan in addition to Onmyouton(yin-yang release). The two forms are equally powerful and equally rare.
Rinbo: Hengoku and Amenotejikara are both banned. Ashura and Indra, the sage’s sons in canon, will not reincarnate, and as such their DNA is not strictly required to possess the Rinnegan.
Space-Time Ninjutsu
While I will not outright ban space-time ninjutsu, I will say that if you create one it is going to receive harsh scrutiny. Furthermore, Hiraishin, aka the Flying Thunder God Technique, will gain certain limitations depending on the skill of the user in the area of fuinjutsu. These weaknesses depend on how one wants to balance the technique.
Shikotsumyaku
As with Space-time Ninjutsu, the Shikotsumyaku kekkei genkai is not strictly banned. However, it will be strictly watched and severely graded if one is to put it on a character.
Mechanics
The rules for Combat and Jutsu are something of a must, but I understand that people can and will make mistakes. This is perfectly fine, just do try to keep these things in mind. If you decide to fight and plan the outcome of that fight out to some extent, some of these descriptors may not apply. Furthermore, while the time stamps are preferred, they are not explicitly necessary. Still, don't complain to me when no one knows what happened when.
Combat and Jutsu
In combat and when describing Jutsu, you must use time, rather than post amount, to measure the duration or prep time of techniques or actions. More or less figure out how long something would take to physically do, figure the vague speed of the technique, and use that to assist in the conclusion.
It would also be quite helpful to state the distance between yourself and the one you’re fighting. Trust me, doing these two things not only helps the other players out, but it will also improve your own skill in combat as you become familiar with the method.
Rising to his feet, Kuro took his stance and waited for his enemy to attack him. His opponent, who stood only 8 meters away, braced himself before erupting forwards at high speed, charging Kuro. It would take the shinobi roughly 5-8 seconds to reach him, so Kuro acted swiftly. Weaving handseals and drawing forth his katana, the man had almost crossed the distance when Kuro’s katana ignited in flames as he slashed forwards. The shinobi would have to dodge the three arcs of fire, which would hit him 2 seconds before the man finished crossing the distance.
Time and Location Stamps
Basically, at the top of every post, please state the time and location of your character. If your character is going from one location to another you can state such. Here’s a helpful format to do so, though the format is not strictly necessary.
Location – Time
This assists in keeping everything in the same time so we don’t cause time paradoxes and also so we can document things on the site. Additionally, the time of day should be general, not specific, as we don’t exactly have clocks. So things like what follows:
Early Morning Morning Midday Afternoon Evening Night Midnight
As to location, it is good to list both the general location (which land you are in) and specific location (a forest, a clan compound etc etc).
Normal
Land of Fire/Uchiha Compound – Midday
Transitional
Uchiha Compound-->Senju Compound – Midday
Uchiha Compound – Between Midday and Afternoon
Positions, Ranks, and Abilities
The more effort you put into your character’s history, personality, and clan information the more likely I am to allow your character(s) to have a higher position in a clan or organization, in addition to rank or abilities. If you have the concept for an ability or the like and can’t figure out how to balance it, present it to me and I may be able to help.
After all, I have a deep understanding of how chakra and the like functions in Naruto and I am willing to assist you in balancing things. However, if I outright say no to something, you need to accept that the answer is no. Typically I will give suggestions as to what you could change to balance something. If you want the technique, more often then not those suggestions are required.
----------
Sheets/Skeletons

@yoshua171 Do you have any characters that you would like for me to play?
While we do need people to play prae, it is not strictly required in any way shape or form, so really just find an idea or ideas that you like and we'll do our best to accommodate :)
Just...popping in to say I am indeed still present. Thanks for the tag Merc, it does do to keep track of what's going on in the OOC at least. Just...someone tell me when my writing is needed, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Life is somewhat busy for me at the moment. Preparing for a big move from North Carolina to Florida, so yeah. Got a job and placce set up though so it's really just the shipping my electronics and then taking a flight there and hoping I have the money I need after shipping part that is troubling me. Otherwise I've got other RPs I'm either running or in, but I've always left room for time for the Prophecy since I kind of decided to be in it for the long haul since it's a brilliant, vast, and well fleshed out world with amazing writers. It's hard to find something this good, even if things have slowed down considerably and been stalled. So yeah, that. Gonna stop rambling now.
