Dear Potential Student,

Hello. You are invited to the College of Magic, where we offer you the arts of Spellcasting, Summoning, Ritualism, Elementalism, Conjuring, and many other assorted Arts of Magic. You have been selected due to you high quantities of some form of magical energy. You will not have to worry about paying for a tuition, food, school supplies, or anything else on campus, as we expect that you will earn your stay over the duration of your education.
The College of Magic is a very private place, and would like to keep our location, and even our existence, a secret for the time being. So please, do NOT share this letter with anyone else, or talk about this letter to anyone. A spell has been put on this letter ensuring that anyone you share this information with will not be able to, how should we put it, bother us.
Don’t worry, you yourself will never be bothered by this spell for any reason, and if you choose to not come to our college, that is perfectly fine with us. If you would like to join our college, then please, say the words below between 11:30PM 5/19/2016 and 12:30AM 5/20/2016.

Welcome to modern day Earth. The only difference? Magic is real. Rare, but real. Your character is one of the many with the potential to learn it, and has been sent this letter. For some reason, you get the feeling that this isn’t a joke. There have been too many strange things going on in your life for you to be surprised that magic exist. It would almost have to. So you have decided to follow the letter’s instructions, and it is now 11:20 PM, 5/19/2016.

Hello, this is an interest check for the above RP. As players I will give you a little more info then what your characters have. Each of you will have one or more characters attending this school. Something your characters won't discover until they get there is that only an average of 7.23% of students survive the school. That is to say that the rest die. If your character survives the eight years here then they will be able to move mountains, demolish cities, create life and a number of other things. But they have to survive. The number of ways for a character to die in this RP and the chance of character death is high. Walk down the wrong hallway, up the wrong staircase, or just irritate an older student or teacher and you could find yourself making a new character. Also, as long as another player stays in character and doesn't godmod, there is no restriction on them hurting or killing yours. Don't worry, we won't allow someone to go on a rampage (at least not against other players) but beware of other PCs not liking yours. However, one safeguard that has allowed anyone the chance to survive is that each night at midnight each and every student is automatically returned to their bed unharmed, at least physically, as long as they haven't truly died.

If you are interested in trying to navigate your characters way through this school, or in watching character after character fall, burn, drown, get crushed, bleed to death, or any number of ways we (or another player) can come up with to kill you then please, show your interest.

Also, I will need one or two Co-Host. I have a list of requirements the co-host will have to full-fill, but they will have much power in this campaign.

For both Co-host:
1) Must create and run several teachers.
2) Must help finish the RPs details to add veriety.
3) Must randomly kill unnamed students to keep the threat of death real, and occasionally kill PCs if they enter a death scenario (fall through a trick floor onto some spikes, walk through a one way barrier with monsters on the other side, irritate an older student into attacking them ect.).
4) Voice their opinion on each character in PMs with the other hosts. (This will be the same PM for all of the CSs)

For either Co-host (only one needs to do this, but both can):
5) Create and run subplots.
6) Keep track of in game time passed. (I will be doing this as well but a backup/main would be nice)
7) Help keep the game moving forward.

List of possible Magical Classes

-The Basics of Magic- This class teaches the basics of what you need to know in order to use all forms of magic.
-History of Magic- This class teaches everything that is known about the history of magic.
-Herbology of Magical Plants- Which plants have magical aspects and what those are.
-Light Magic- The main type of magic for creating and or manipulating light. This includes illusions.
-Fire Magic- The magic to create and control thermal energy.
-Water Magic- The magic to create and control the liquid elements.
-Wind Magic- The magic to create and control the gaseous elements.
-Earth Magic- The magic to create and control the solid elements.
-Arcana- Time and space magic.
-Transmutation- Transforming magic.
-Conjuring- The creation or summoning of objects.
-Summoning- The summoning of living creatures.
-Invocation- This is the most easily varied form of magic. Requires words but can touch upon every other type of magic to some degree.
-Potions- The mixing of magical potions.
-Enchantment- The ability to form Magical Items.
-Ritual Magic- This is what is used to make spells last for long durations, or to cast spells normally beyond your means. Include multiple methods of gathering energy,
-Telekinetics- The magic used to move objects.
-Mind magic- The magic used to manipulate the minds of others, and yourself.
-Biomancy- This magic is used to manipulate Physical life.
-Runic- The art of vreating Ancient rune magic. The most powerful type of magic, however it also requires the most effort.

I'm Going to be gone Monday, and possibly Tuesday as well. If the plot moves forward or Quanze is interacted with before hand then I'll try for another post before then.

I think I'm going to officially resign. The people in this RP are moving it forward too fast and my character and I got steamrolled by missing a single weekend and haven't been motivated to try and play catch up since.

@BlueAjah You could indeed ;u;. Although your character would need an ""official"" zodiac, I see no reason why you can't make a character who feels close to / identifies as a Cat zodiac, if you get my drift. Be the Kyo to my Yuki And like Ursa said, it'd be a wacky wildcard. So you'd have the hardest but also easiest job of them all :3c.

@BlueAjah Sadly @aeuternus already has dibs on Cat (this was discussed in the interest thread). That's something the lore is/was setting up. I suspect that Cat will be a major plot point.

@Termott Planning on it. I actually partially designed my character around her (at least the reading, writing, and height). Just make one of her favourite authors one Andrew Smith and the stage would be set for a rather interesting romance, if someone doesn't beat her to the punch.

Would it be possible to have Parkour in the 4:30Pm- 5:30PM slot on Mondays as well?

This is the chart I was looking at originally. Obviously each chart is different but I like this ones additional levels and range over the other one. Plus, this one gives everyone more options. This one gives me three possible Romance options so far (rat, Dragon, Dog), the other left me with one (dragon).

Although there is no complaints there, I actually think the two would mesh well. If she is focused on success and pride Ian has both. Although his primary success is currently hidden.

Full Name: Ian Andrew Johnson
Age: 18
Zodiac: Monkey

Personality: Ian is a generally friendly and helpful person. He is also energetic and playful. Normally when he is going from class to class, or moving around the school, he practices his parkour skills. Running on the walls on lockers, jumping over the other students, or even crawling on the outside of the building two or three stories above the ground. The more he likes a person, the more likely he is to pull pranks on them. In some cases he has carried it too far, in which case he will often put together an apologetic letter that they receive the next day, as well as some kind of gift.

When it comes to his classes he is happy that the school doesn't really care and focuses instead on its extra curricular activities. Although he is quite intelligent, or because of it, he finds normal schools boring because he always finishes up the days work quickly and is left with nothing to do. In class he will often pull out a book and start reading, or a notebook and start writing. He has enough respect to not disrupt the class.

Appearance: Ian weighs 143 lbs. and stands at 5'8" when he stands at full height, however his legs are often slightly bowed as if he is ready to roll in any direction at any time making him apeare to only stand at 5'5". Ian has dark reddish pink hair that he allows to flow naturally and keeps to a length of around 4"-6" inches and bright blue green eyes. his skin is slightly tanned and very well toned. However there are numerous small scars all over his body from when he has fallen while practising his parkour. Many of these scars are practically invisible unless one is looking closely.

Ian wears glasses specially designed to not come off while doing flips, hanging upside down, running, or any other physical activity. he also wears a small gold chain to remind him of a lost family member that was dear to him. When he has the option he generally wears loose and eye catching clothing as long as it isn't too lose or ugly. Everything he wears is selected gather people's attention and to make him look good whether he is standing still or jumping all over the place. His shirts are usually button up short sleeve affairs of a verity of colors and designs while he almost always wears shorts or jeans that stop at the top of his shoes. He will never wear pants that he could step on, or shirts that could get caught on something. He would rather walk around nude and has come close more then once. Luckily he was wearing underwear.

How long have they been at the school? : He has been here for all four years of his high school life.
Did they apply for Roommate services? : Yes. Also, each year he request a new roommate. Not because he didn't like his previous one, but because he wanted to meet someone new.

Club : Astrology, Parkour.
Position : In Astrology he is just a normal member, however he helps out quite a bit. He is the Founder, President, and teacher for the Parkour club. The parkour club often works with the Gymnastics and Acrobatics clubs to help teach his club members the basics and often puts on a show for the school.
Hobbies : Parkour, Reading & writing , and a couple of secret hobbies.
