Sometimes you spend so long looking for peace in someone else, you loose sight of that peace you can give yourself. Don't forget that guys.

"That's...going to be something I need to talk with my dad about. The Sith Imperium know where the Island is and who we are. If another war breaks out..."I trail off, leaving the thought unfinished.
"Aye, Mand'alor the Valkyrie they're already calling her. Fitting continuation of a title she's carried within Clan Ordo for years I doubt there's anyone amongst the clans crazy enough to challenge her, least for a few years." I sigh. "Whatever you do, HJ, trust your instincts and trust the Force. I think when the time comes, you'll know what to do."
"Let me put it this way for ya, son." I tap his nose. "The next time she swings, swing back and hit her in her nose. Might not be the kindest thing right now, but it makes a point. And tell her that the way things have been won't be how it continues. It CAN'T continue, or Clan Cadera's gonna have me to answer to and all of Ordo if it comes down to it."
"A piece of advice?" I lean forwards and rest my hands on my knees. "Be honest with her. And don't let her swing at you, she's not in the shape for it and you don't need anymore bruises to explain away."
"Oh no, don't start thinking that way. What's done is done and no one can change that. It's just as likely that had she been dating a member of a clan she'd have had to defend them. She'd have been accused of favoritism, manipulating clan politics, any number of things that are just as difficult to deal with as what she got for being with you. Now tell me how you want to open your discussion with her."
"Well, I imagine the two of you are going to have a long chat about your future when she finally wakes up, but when you do, how happy she is may be something you can affect." I sigh as I lean back. "Something that you have to keep in mind is that her relationship with you is part of what made her tenure as Mand'alor so difficult. Zarka wasn't the only Chief who wondered how much you influenced her decisions, he was simply the most vocal."
"If there's one thing about the Dark Side I've learned, it's without a doubt that it will bring out the worse in someone." I sigh. "Ava is still Ava, HJ. And now that she's not Mandalore, she might finally be able to be herself again. Doing what she did, it was brave, but her youth might have not been the boon she was hoping for."
I chuckle as I punch in for a couple of candy bars. Handing him his, I lead the way over to a more secluded area to sit and talk. "Take it you're mulling over recent events?"
I'm down in the lobby area, looking through the snack selection. Even after the attack in the senate plaza that had taken Gavin's life, the people were beginning to try and get back to a sense of normalcy. And so, fresh snacks and food had been delivered and some of the hotel staff had returned to work the night shift. I glance back to see HJ come in and beckon him over. "You look...thoughtful."
