Basically any social interaction involving her has the potential for humour. The true downside to wearing armour.

I just imagine Tyaethe sits in a dark room on a stool until the next mission.
Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted yet. I was really busy this weekend, and now the DNC is happening in my city. I'll get to it in the next day or so.
I always try to avoid lite magic RP. I am always worried having a mixed character will be too OP. So I typically do either purely non-magic or incredibly entrenched in the arcane.

It is another reason why a lot of my characters recently have trended toward being old or fat or crippled or ugly in some form or another, I am worried about making characters who might be too pretty.
I'll try to post tonight before my weekend gets too jammed up
Eadwig fulfills the old ratio.
Going to be honest, I set this up intending the bandits to go down fast and easy. Deaths of knights should be reserved for when things get more serious. ^^;

The idea with the bandits is the only reason they were a serious threat was because of Jeremiah's direction. With him abandoning them to fight his one-man war against the knights for fun(not even trying to lead them in the process), and how they were taken by total surprise... the appropriate casualties at this point in the RP are the people who got crushed by the tree and the man Jeremiah killed in his entrance.

It's not like I mind deaths happening, but since this is high fantasy I think thematic appropriateness is something to keep in mind for the people you kill off. Legendary Knight Order versus bandits will probably wind up very firmly in the knights' favor. ^^;

Also... the total number of knights is 130, to clear up that matter.

Also the clarify, the bandits were just a tool to get the knights' attention, used by Jeremiah because he believed it would get them faster.

Sorry I'm double posting, I'm on mobile. I think only two actual Knights on my side died. One from the tree and one by chance because Old Roger had a billhook (and it was a nod to [@monocromatic rainbow] the rest were just soldier dudes. If we get in a real fight you'll see things far worse from me possibly. Or just more anarcho-communist peasants
@ZebanamanaJudging by the number of green recruits on the current mission, I would say that's a fairly accurate assessment, or at least what matches my perception of their losses/recruitment/makeup. That is, of course, Vita's decision, although I doubt it even matters to the RP.

That said! Yeah, I've been kinda holding off on posting because the bandit side of things seems more or less taken care of, and even more people being involved in the Jeremiah fight is just going to saturate it horribly. Seems like either way it'd just be dragging things out needlessly.

That said, I'll get a reply up to @ZebanamanaSoonish.

No worries dudemeister. I might make a post for Lame Larry who totally resents the classist argument that he brough this upon himself! The bourgeoisie did
A 5% loss in an incredibly lopsided battle would mean that you'd probably have all the knights die off every other year. That seems... both unsustainable and going into another genre entirely.

Though I was talking about morale, there. Don't think the Iron Roses are going to have morale problems... almost ever. <_<

Nah, I don't think so. There would likely be a decent recruitment rate annually, and it would depend on how many campaigns they go on yearly. Non war years they probably lose very little, but during war years they could probably lose tremendous numbers. But as it stands there is a mixed amount of Knights to regular foot soldiers that seem to have been conscripted for the fight or just general followers. I'm not sure, I've been writing as if there are Knights and then there are soldiers under the command of the Knights in the fight. Vita said there was something like 130ish Knights on this expedition, but I gotta wonder if that is all the Knights of the order or if it is something more like the Teutonic Order where there are hundreds or thousands of Knights in the order.
@ghastlyInc ... you're really overestimating the quality of our opposition as well as which side is going to be routing. O_o

@Themerlinhawk Collabs are too long. And terrible for crowded areas. :T

I think it is fair for an enemy of similar numbers to kill a couple superior soldiers. In a 200 v 200 match up I don't think there would be even losses, but I'd expect 160 dead bandits and probably 10 to 15 dead soldiers/knights or at least a decent number of pretty injured.

I would point out that Aethelmund lost a dude to a billhook then a horseman, two archers, and a pile dude to the falling tree landing on top of them.

Though I'll say I think the battle is basically over
I like giving my characters sensitive topics. I wonder if anyone can guess what would set Tyaethe off? xD

Potentially reasonable to know IC, given that it's an order of several hundred and people have been there for years.
