I'll believe in the combat applications of pressure points as they are (not disputing the existence of vulnerable spots, just magical asian points) when they start being used effectively and consistently in the myriad of combat sports and contests across the world, where they're not actually banned at all. And like, rather than look for a point under the armpit, protected by a person's ability to retract their arm, it seems far simpler to aim for the sternum or liver or ribs which are consistently targeted to great effect.
@Dblade26
Just being able to land pinpoint strikes on the actually very vulnerable spots in the human body such as the liver, the nose, the temples, the floating ribs, the solar plexus etc is pretty damn good, considering that kind of precision does not come easy at all in an actual engagement. Just being able to jab someone on the eyesocket rather than the general face area is a good skill to have.

@Azereiah
I can't tell anyone not to do them, but like Dblade I think they're a copout. It's like, instead of doing any martial arts and working that choreography and whatnot you're just kinda dealing in a no-effort vaguely combative tag. Which is funny because their whole selling point in real life is the idea of no-effort badassery. Anyway, I love Fist of the North Star but the actually memorable fights as such are the ones where the author decided that it didn't have to end within the first contact. Style and genre are fine and all but as a matter of style, I find them pretty boring personally.
Is everyone waiting on something right now? I ask cause no one's posted in a while and I want to make sure I'm not missing something that everyone is expecting me to do right now

Was waiting for @Dblade26 to post but I guess I should react to the things that happened.

I think of this video, mostly because my go-to one for Kyusho is mostly just nothing happening. And besides, there's a very short distance between magical touch spots to magical waves of energy, as shown by the trajectory of the US' foremost expert in no effort knockouts George Dillman.
@DarkwolfX37
Not that I can tell, post was only adressed to 13. I'd been done posting for about a page prior, you can check. Also, will reply to any messages tomorrow.

@13org
Well, yes, if you're writing it's text. And you kinda started the not shutting up, as I told darkwolf. I hadn't posted for an hour because we decided to drop it and then you started again. Not my fault, that.
I was all for having a civil discussion and willing to bury the hatchet, but if you come after me I don't have any particular reason to just accept that. But to honor the GM's wishes, yes, I'll stop now like I had before. I do need to sleep and everything.

See I can be childish too. I've been done, but I sure as crap don't have to take being called a hypocrite. Especially from an actual hypocrite.
@13org
Soon as you do it. What, you think I'm going to let you call me a hypocrite? You, who took action over three players and are now complaining about losing the shot you decided not to make hours ago? That's rich. Again, take it up to the person making the post. There's issues with it, like with Azereiah's character being assumed down and Hammerman assuming a fight happening a ways off is actually going to be affected by what's said to Brock and Akiko.
@13org
Oh no my friend, no hypocrisy here, because nothing that was already in progress that other people should've reacted to prior to the character reaching has happened. No attack was outpaced, no relevant reaction of those already involved rendered moot. The fight between Brock and Akiko was at a point that invited an interruption, the one many people said you could and probably should make hours ago.

You should take it up to @Hammerman, you two can probably work something out and there hasn't been a direct response to his post yet. If anything, @Azereiah might have something to say, considering his character isn't actually fallen as the post assumes and he has been instantly grabbed by the arm without a chance to reply to that.
@13org
I've never told you what to write. Me and others have just given you ways for you to do the things you complained about not getting to do.

@Azereiah
But fair enough, for the sake of the game and others who've asked I suppose this is about as far as this goes. The field is open and all.
@13org
No, staying in character and avoiding metagaming are 100% things I expect roleplayers to do, it's great you do them. But here's the thing, going by the post that you yourself made, Meilin saw the heatwave and decided to intervene. It's a thing that happened. The heatwave didn't hit anyone, that's great for student health, but the person who launched said heatwave is up, angry and fighting against someone who's assaulting him outside of the rules of the game. These are all reasons why any responsible educator would step up, especially if she was already set on intervening after the first heat wave was launched. She can break up a fight there and show herself responsible and dependable. It's a very simple thought process.

You have been given plenty of room and plenty of reasons for your character to do the things you wanted her to do in the post we all saw. You said you were upset about not getting to do the things, and we have gone out of our way to present opportunities for your character to get involved when we could've just left you to delete your post and move on. By this point, you're actively sabotaging yourself and throwing away the efforts of others just to prove the obvious point that you, indeed, can decide to not do the things you complained about wanting to do. It's your choice, totally, but you don't get to complain about not being given the opportunity to play. Because you were.
