Alaric slammed full on into a wall when his charge missed, stopping short in his tracks and whirling around to get back in the fight. He got a quick glance over at the fight with the vampire before an axe lodged itself in the wall next to him and, without hesitation, was yanked from the wall by him and flung back toward the steel-clad bastard attacking the tiny captain. It was meant to distract more than it was to hit in order to prevent the already unlikely sidestepping of what he did next. Taking his hammer in both hands he rose it above his head...
"HAMMER DOWN!"
And so he brought the hammer down, sending a burning shockwave toward Alvor and the captain. Sure the Iron rose captain was likely to get caught up in it as well, as would anyone else getting close to Alvor, but other than being thrown a short distance and some minor singing anyone hit wouldn't be overly harmed. It would give Alaric a chance to close the distance and actually land a blow from his hammer this time, which was his next move, rushing forward for a more aimed strike this time.
