The Gifted: Hunters

Daemon tapped his foot in the back of the APC, He's been attached to another team and was being transferred to the facility along with a number a metahuman fugitives in anoth-BOOOOM!

An explosion took out the first APC of the convoy and his took a hard turn before being hit itself. It tumbled over sideways throwing him and the other DMA agents around inside of it. When it finally stopped most of the agents beside him were either injured or dead, and him making it out fine thanks to his armor. There was gunfire outside as the rest of the convoy tried to return fire.

once out of the burning APC he fell in beside some other agents in providing cover as the wounded were pulled out of the APC and moved to cover on the side of the road. One of the agents had gotten the radio from the APC and was calling for reinforcements and they ended up hunkering down on the side of the road until the combat started to die down as the attacked ended, and even then they stayed there until reinforcements came.

By the time reinforcements got there the attackers and any surviving fugitives were long gone, and now that they could assess the damage they found that they were the only survivors of the attack but they hadn't seen the attackers from their position as most of the area had been obscured by the fires and smoke from the wrecked APCs.

Daemon was looking over the wreckage along with the contamination team as the wounded were dealt with. By one of the APCs he found something that seemed out of place. On the bodies of two people that weren't DMA but didn't seem to be metahumans either he found a log file marked operation Mad Hatter. Before he could review it his attention was turned to another APC arriving and he recognized Dr. Carson from her file, just as he was about to signal to her he whirled back around and raised his weapon, eyes scanning over the area just beyond the wrecked APC. Someone was there, and his HuD indicated that they weren't DMA...@13org

Rakuyo

Name: Rakuyo Hessarian

Personality: Rakuyo is not an outspoken person but he is not shy either, he usually prefers a smaller company as larger crowds just make him nervous. He's kind, friendly, and usually on the happy side but his personality shift the moment his sword is drawn. He becomes very aggressive, almost losing himself to bloodlust but he usually retains enough of himself to know who his allies are. The shift seems to change his abilities as well, as he is stronger and faster but forgoes the use of his spells.

Bio: Rakuyo was found by an Overseer Reaver when he was only 12, wielding a strange blade and standing amidst a number of corpses. He was highly aggressive, attacking the Reaver on sight until he was disarmed. The moment his blade left his hands his entire personality changed and he seemed a bit confused about what was going on. rather than finish him off and destroy the sword he took the elf in. He became a sort of pet project to the Reaver, being his personal apprentice. He was always loathe to draw the blade again, instead he learned various types of magic and fought almost exclusively with spells. He eventually became a scholar, spending much of his time in the Tower of Athilaris. He never fought during the great convergence but the Reaver that brought him into the overseers had been killed in the war, leaving him sort of alone within the order.

That is until the joining of Aslatiel. The two quickly became friends and frequently undertake missions together.

Weapons:
-Odachi: Long single-edged sword from a distant land. It contains a spirit of some sort that possesses him whenever he draws it from it's scabbard, making him an exceptional swordsman. It's unknown how Rakuyo obtained it.

Magic: Rakuyo has studied a wide range of magic schools. He mainly uses elemental magic, restoration spells, and wards but he knows at least some of the darker arts but uses them with less frequency, if at all.

He has gotten a slight bit of renown for a particular necromancy spell he's used. It involves him quite literally punching the life out of someone. It's not often used due to it's need for close quarters.

Other: Rakuyo wears a simple necklace with a small blue crystal inlaid in the pendant. Despite it's small size it can hold a considerable amount of magicka allowing him to caste many more spells before exhausting his reserves.

Personality: Aslatiel is typically quite friendly but is very quiet and reserved, sometimes timid even, yet he still faces down his opponents with unwavering resolve. His usual demeanor, androgynous voice, and lithe figure often lead to him being confused for a female most of the time, something he does not always immediately correct.

Bio: Aslatiel grew up with not much more than a promise, more of a challenge really, made the day he was separated from his brother that they would see which of them was the better warrior the next time they met. Already abandoned by his parents for his perceived weakness and now separated from his brother he set out alone to the human kingdom of Farendar. It was difficult for him there, especially since he was still young and not very strong, not to mention the human's prejudice. Nevertheless, he still managed to find work mainly as a farmhand, working on one farm for a while before moving. His wandering rarely went close to the larger cities, sticking mainly to smaller settlements and villages. He still practiced his martial skills when he got the chance, using the only weapon available to him: The Scythe, developing his own fighting style with the unconventional blade. Shortly before the war broke out he chanced across a small company headed by a peculiar dwarf. After he helped the company against a brigand ambush the dwarf, Valden Falskaar, created a special weapon for him as thanks as well as letting him stay with the company during the war.
When the war had ended and Aslatiel had parted ways with Valden's company he finally caught wind of his brother's whereabouts, tracking him to a mountain range in the north. He finally came upon Leno on a small plateau, ready to face him, but something had seemed strange, Leno didn't seem like himself anymore, clad in black armor that obscured his face and an odd presence about him. Their fight lasted for hours, Aslatiel began to feel as if his brother was limitless until, by some luck, his blade struck home. His brother's body collapsing before him not long before he too collapsed from exhaustion.
He awoke to find a man saying that he was impressed at his victory and that quite a few of the overseer's watchers had been felled by Leno before he came along. He then introduced himself as Marco and offered him a place among the Overseers of Serenity.

Weapons:
-Aslatiel's Scythe: A unique weapon made as a gift for him, the blade can be detached to serve as curved sword and the handle folds to be stored on his back. Fully extended the haft reaches out nearly 6ft.
-Iron knuckles

Magic: Entropy - Aslatiel never had use of any magic before, but after defeating his brother he found he had somehow inherited this power from him.

@TheDarkTemplar he mainly uses entropic energy with his attacks augmenting his scythe's blade and such. He's also meant to have a spell that would completely immobilize a person for a few seconds.

He'd also be able to make himself stronger by absorbing power from a person he kills, as Leno's implied to have done. I wanted to have him try and hid that ability all the time because of how similar it is to Sar'than's thing.
