@BKburke *cough* join the house of ruin *cough*
With the data recovered from the observatory Ephsor had sent several crew to find the other facilities it mentions and left behind a decently sized crew to finish with the observatory's planet itself. He, however, was taking a large portion of the fleet to investigate a rather unusual entry. As they traveled the servitors were beginning to translate through more of the data. The entry mentions an alien ruin now located under a city on a planet labeled Aurora, and though the observatory and it's machines were technically alien to the Fallen, that something was alien to whoever previously owned them could hold promise a good bounty

The pilot servitor made a loud wail, drawing the attentions of the Archon Priests in the room. A moment later one of the two came up to him "A sensor ping, my Kell, the ship it came from dropped off sensors but the servitor picked up at least one result from the scan" So others had beaten them to it. The fleet came out of their jump over the planet and sure enough they could detect a force landing close to the city. Ephsor stood up from his throne with a growl "Get crews down in the city, find the ruin before they do. Keep The Scar close" with that he stormed from the room to board a ketch with the away crews while the Archons conveyed his orders to the servitor. The Scar was to be kept close, ideally the other factions here only had at most an exploratory or scouting fleets nearby, something the dreadnought could deter even if it couldn't quite catch the smaller dropships. Still, Ephsor hoped they could find something quickly to make this worth it, The House of Ruin is strong but he's not eager to test them against a stellar empire just yet.

On the ground, three large ketches came down, loud booms announcing their arrival as they came through the atmosphere. Two remained overhead, sending out skiffs to deploys troops to secure a part of the city opposite from the Empire's expedition. The third came in to land in a square between some of the buildings to act as a makeshift base for the operation there. Ephsor himself stepped off that ship himself, watching as some of the crew scattered into the nearby building and rapidly offloading equipment, trying to establish enough of a presence there to secure the area and search for the ruin.
@Sierra I believe it was reaper code that made them fully sentient.
Ephsor walked down the metallic hallway flanked by two Kellsguard Marauders. The salvaging crews here had reported finding ruins of an abandoned facility here and the Kell had come to see it personally. The House of Ruin's expedition into the galactic center had not turned up much so far, mainly empty planets with minerals to mine or glimmer to drill.

But this...this was a great find, Abandoned technology to salvage, refit, or scrap. The reason for it's abandonment was of little concern, so now The Scar holds over the planet with the fallen fleet while it's investigated. Coming into the main room of the facility, Ephsor found the crew that made the report. A captain was overseeing as the dregs salvaged what they could and Vandals secured and scouted the area. A pair of Servitors was also present, one working to restore power and the other gathering small bits of matter to process into ether. With a nod toward the captain to continue operations, the Kell walked up to one of the computers the servitor had managed to restore power to and extended one of his arms to deploy his mini-servitor. The small machine accessed the computer and soon the Kell could see data stream about the facility's function. It appeared to be some sort of observatory, keeping track of the going-ons of at least part of the sector, it had already even discovered two signals: one brilliant, as if it wanted to be seen, and the other disappearing almost as soon as it arrived, definitely interesting but not of concern at the moment as the servitor began to find data about other ruins and facilities on this world and others. After it took what it could Ephsor grabbed his mini-servitor and took one last look around the room before ordering the captain to begin full recovery of the tech within the facility and leaving with his guards to return to his ship, eager to plan the House's next move once they'd recovered everything.
@DragonofTheWest hey since the fallen are kinda lacking in fleet power, having only one type of ship that is about equal to a slightly weaker covenant corvette, is it alright if I make the flagship of my faction a very powerful dreadnaught? Something to give us a bit more of a fighting chance if we come up against either your sith fleet or the covenant guys.

Name: Kari Weyrloc

Species: Wolverine/Thrax

Tribe/Clan/Pack/etc.: Wintertooth Clan

Description: Kari has the height of his species, standing over most southern races, but is thinner than average by Thrax standards. The markings of his tribe are dyed into his dark fur in white forming an intricate design upon his face going down to his chest. His fur also mostly hides several scars along his neck

Personality: While still aggressive and vicious Kari is decidedly more amicable than most of his kind. A man of few words even before his injuries he can still prove surprisingly Jovial in revelry. Much like the rest of the Thrax he values strength and may gravitate toward those that display it, but once he's chosen someone to follow he is incredibly loyal to them.

Background: Kari had abandoned his clan and ventured south, wandering through the Red Fox empire mainly keeping to country paths to avoid notice. He had no particular destination he was simply trying to get further from his former clan. It wasn't until he reached the territory of the Gray Fox Shogunate that he was caught and turned over to the wolves who imprisoned him on the Stormeagle for transport.

Talent: Melee combat. Kari excels up close, between skill and strength he can outmatch almost any opponent, mainly finding his equals among other Thrax

Weakness: Simple. While not a complete dullard the mechanisms of the south more often that not elude him, leaving him hopeless to handling firearms.

Knack: Intimidation. The reputation of the Thrax precedes him and his presence can often be enough to inspire fear and passivity in others, or perhaps respect for his master.

Flaw: Silenced. After a brutal punishment by his clan Kari was left with a scarred neck and immense difficulty speaking. His communication is mostly limited to grunts and growls though he can still force some words out albeit not without great struggle.

Posts/Week: at least once or twice a week.

Example Post: Kari roared at the figures looming over him, two pinning him down by the arms and a third brandishing an axe. He struggles against the two pinning him down while the third began to speak "you disgrace your clan, you disgrace the Thrax with your words, your voice" the figure bent down and put one hand below his chin, forcing him to tip his head back to expose his neck while the blade of the axe came close "Now we take it from you, make you silent" with that the tip of the blade was driven into his neck, his screams of rage mingling with screams of agony as it rent his neck and torn his vocal chords, slowly drowning out his screams until they grew weak and faded. His struggles eventually faded with his voice and he was left there, his clan mates leaving him to die.

Kari woke with a start and tried to shake off the old memory, it still haunted him sometimes when he slept no matter how much he tried to block it out. Just then a noise drew his attention to the other side of the cell he was in, seems he woke up just in time for food. A parcel was dropped through a slot in the door, no tray no one wanted to come retrieve it later, it was enough to keep him alive but he would still feel hunger, especially since he could only eat whatever he could force through the iron muzzle on his face. He took the food and sat back against the cell wall again, for now only able to wait.
@Thecrash20 yeah that's what I'm trying to say, since they're being more defensive right now that buff isn't all that much help. and yeah, they are making a shield wall and hiding behind it, they have halberds and are poking through but are otherwise staying behind that line.

The more offensive part of this flank was suppose to be the Gyrid's troops
@Thecrash20 I didn't say that the spell didn't work, just that they aren't really using it if it did. The knights are holding their line more than fighting in a melee so your man doesn't have far to go to find himself alone in front of the line, unless he's staying behind them of course.
