I hadn't read Zobuzun's CS en full, as I stated in my previous post so my apologies for lacking knowledge on that bit. Although, it does strike me as odd that things are set up in such a way that Mother Mary, aka Zobozun basically has to give permission to a player to make the Vice Chief for the kido corps due to his character's history.

You don't need my permission. You just needed to acknowledge that my guy exists and explain what happened instead of copypasting your old sheet with basically no changes and expecting people to go out of their way to accomodate you when your character was posted after mine. Just write out a backstory. For example, maybe your character was an up-and-comer some 90 years ago and was chosen over the person Mary recommended. Maybe the torch was passed to your character after an exceptionally short term due to the previous vice-chief having some form of terminal illness. Maybe the upper ranks were thinned out sealing some big Hollow. Just have your character exist outside of a vacuum. This isn't all that hard.

On the other thing, I accept your apology and I only ask that you be more careful with your choice of words in the future so this doesn't happen again.
@yoshua171
Kenpachi-level-prodigy refers to the parts labeled "Legendary Reiryoku" and "Incredible Reiatsu".

As far as the prodigy bit goes, I'm not the one you need to be justifying it to. Brink is the one playing the one-in-a-million unique generational prodigy with incredible reiryoku levels. That's his thing. That is, in fact, his main thing and you are taking that away from him. That's not fair to Brink.

Likewise, your character having his past intact is stepping on Hantu Kongtek's toes and conflicting with the GM's statement that souls lose their memories upon death. You should be taking it up with them. I'm just calling it to people's attention so it doesn't get missed becuase it'll just cause more problems down the line that way.

Also, you shouldn't start fights over something you hear secondhand from another player. Don't just go off what others say. If you want to know what you did to provoke this, maybe you can go back a few pages to the part where you tried to get me kicked from the game and accused me of trolling with no evidence. Amazingly, people don't like that.

As for the learning Kido, to continue your metaphor, I wasn't aware that studying also made you an immensely talented genius who could make up physics equations on the fly and have them work. Becuase that's what your character does. You stated that he can, paraphrased, "Bend Kido to his whims". Last I checked, that wasn't how things worked in Bleach, since even massively-talented big-dick Kido users like Urahara and Tessai needed time to develop new seals. Additionally, it doesn't matter if Hoho isn't about speed. You stated that your character was bad at Hoho, which conflicts with you listing him as an expert in Hoho. If you only want him to be bad at Shunpo, then say he's bad at Shunpo. It's that simple.
@yoshua171 GM says we're not supposed to have memories of life before entering Soul Society, remember? On top of that you've got internal inconsistency all over the place, like where you state "His skill with hoho was also essentially nonexistent", but then list him as being an expert in it. You also try to justify it by saying things have taken him "a long time" despite it being only 15 years after he left the academy, which is practically nothing in terms of Bleach timescales. On top of that, all the skills your character is "bad" in more or less explicitly state that he's not actually bad in them and is fully capable of keeping up with masters anyway. Generally, this is considered to be in poor taste.

On top of that, you just arbitrarily state he's Kenpachi-super-prodigy-level despite there already being a generational prodigy (Shota) in the game. Stick with one thing and let other people have their own gimmicks. Scrambling to cover all the bases like this is unfair to your fellow players.

As a side note, you may want to read your fellow character's sheets carefully. Especially Mary's history section. I assumed you had read it, since you tried to start a fight over it, but I guess you didn't. That's pretty poor form as well. You should probably be more considerate to the people you're sharing this game with.

Don't worry Hantu it's just changing like two mentions of God and half a sentence.
If it's such an issue that Bleach canon has to be actively changed to disallow it I guess it must conflict with some planned plot point. I'm sure the GM has his reasons. Now Mary is just a vaguely-spiritualistic person who happens to dress in a habit.

@CaughtInTheRiddle Except that's wrong, since early Christians had a clear denomination between good magic and evil magic, which the evil magic being known colloquially as "sorcery". Sorcery, specifically, was things like consorting with the devil, and is banned under the Ten Commandments. It did not include charms, wards, homeopathic medicine, and other minor supersitions, which were considered a benign form of magic. In fact, Jesus and the Apostles are occasionally referred to as "magicians" in some texts, for their power to work miracles.

And then past that you have Judeo-Christian hero figures such as King Solomon, who bound demons and spirits to serve him and create his kingdom. Moses is also referred to as a "magician" or "wizard" (actually an old phrase meaning "wise man", fun fact) in several apocryphal texts, and is portrayed as being able to create miracles even without the aid of God. In one variation of the myth he's actually so damn hardcore that God has to send down a chariot and bodily grab him and take him to Heaven becuase Moses just outright refuses to die.

That's not even getting into the fact that one could very easily reinterpret all those things as holy miracles even if they did subscribe to a Salem-style burn-the-witch philosophy.

Frankly it seems like you all just have some kind of grudge against Christianity, which I don't really get. Judeo-Christian legends and scripture are actually a very in-depth and fascinating mythology and I'd suggest reading up on it if you have the time.
@yoshua171 You shouldn't go around calling people trolls under any circumstances. A person's account lives and dies by its reputation, and on a site like this there's few reputations worse than a possible game-ruiner. Calling someone a troll could get them kicked from the game in a kneejerk reaction even when it isn't true, which is no fun for anyone.

This isn't something to be brushed off with a "lol good game". Be more careful in the future.

@CaughtInTheRiddle A number of Orthodox denominations do teach that the soul goes through a series of trials after death before reaching what could be called the true afterlife, so I feel it's actually a perfectly valid way of thinking for a traditionalist Christian.

@Phobos The character was originally for the other faction, but that fell through, so I adapted it to be a regular shinigami. That said, Christian missionaries and the subsequent persecution thereof played a fairly large role in 16th and 17th century Japan, so I felt the concept was still fairly valid.
Oh, so you are the sort of guy who likes to start arguments just for the sake of it.
Good to know.

EDIT: Actually, I'm curious. Are you seriously trying to imply I'm trolling or just being facetious?
You guys really don't have any comprehension of what the Judeo-Christian God is like, do you?
Or do you just enjoy frodoposting.
@CaughtInTheRiddle
Clearly, this can't possibly be the real afterlife. It has no angels or harps or anything, and most of the people here don't even know who Jesus is.
Thus, it must be a place of trial. The existence of Hollows support this. Clearly, a place where strife and hardship continue to exist and beggars line the streets cannot possibly be the Promised Land.
