Name: Kasachi Hyouta, "Kachi"
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Height & Weight: 5'6" (1.68m) & 165 lbs. (75kg)
Sexuality: Heterosexual
CCG Rating: SS+
CCG Title: Deathstalker/Wraith (Kakuja)
Mask: Might as well own the title.RC Type: Koukaku, Bikaku, and Kakuja
Kagune: His Koukaku manifests as a pair of dark,
red-flecked wings. Their size can shift to suit smaller spaces, but his wingspan maxes out at about six meters. Sufficient to curl around him multiple times for layers of protection or reach out and smash his enemies at a distance. Growths resembling scorpion legs also reach over his shoulder and around his ribcage as if he's been hugged from behind by the bug. They offer some protection, but are quite fragile in comparison to the wings.
His Bikaku originally manifested as a single segmented tail reminiscent of a scorpion's albeit the stinger was replaced with a blade. An effective all-around weapon that could reach up to four meters far with nothing that really stood out about it. The first change came when he gained the ability to sprout a second tail. More recently he's developed a deadly ability with the Kagune. Much like how a scorpion's stinger delivers posion, the blade portion of his Bikakus can be coated with thin layer of red liquid. These specialized RC cells surge into any open wound inflicted and tear his victim apart from the inside. While costly to utilize as these RC cells are completely lost and must be replaced through consumption, the effectiveness is undeniable.
Lastly, but certainly not least is his Kakuja. It manifests from his entire back and quickly engulfs him in what appears to be black sludge. The end result is a human-shaped mass of what looks like crude oil flecked with red. The only visible points at this point are his Kakugan and even those are hard to see because they blend in. When he opens his mouth, the
surface seems to stretch and tear before the strands snap apart and reveal pitch darkness. As one can expect, inflicting any damage on Kasachi becomes extremely difficult at this point. Any attempt to cut or pierce his armor finds heavy resistance while blunt trauma seems to be dissipated exceptionally well.
Special Quirk: Going for a double as a Chimera Kakuja. Dual Kagunes occurred the same way they did in other Chimeras, namely by the roll of dice. Nothing special about how Kasachi was born with those.
As for how he got his Kakuja, it was actually more likely than not to happen eventually. Even after his old man died, Kasachi continued to avoid humans and preyed on his own kind instead whenever possible. He was, of course, trying to force the mutation to occur as a means to get stronger and protect the three he considered family. It took him years of gluttonous feeding, carving into Ghoul populations from numerous Wards, before he developed the additional Kagune he desired.
Personality: At the core of Kasachi's personality is a fire to protect what remains of his family, and it burns strong almost a decade later. It is the anchor that holds him in-place, and much of what he does and did was for the purpose his old man left to him. He does truly think of the three as his siblings and treasures the time they spend together, even if that's not a lot by his own decisions.
Even before the development of his Kakuja, Kasachi was one of the more combat-oriented of his siblings. He relished in the use of his Dual Kagunes and enjoyed the rush of adrenaline that came with the fast-paced combat that Ghouls participated in. After developing his Kakuja, the sort of elation he derives from combat has only increased. While it's not overwhelming enough for him to prolong fights on purpose, he is certainly more excitable and displays very little restraint, even when it comes to Investigators.
Doesn't particularly care about other Ghouls beyond they're his primary food source. Not a big fan of reading, but does enjoy comedy and adventure television, film, etc. No particular feelings towards action beyond he already gets enough in real life.
Backstory: How does a Chimera, a result of an union between two Ghouls, end up on the streets alone with no one to look after them? Well the parents not actually loving one another is a good start. Add that they didn't want a child, but a weapon and that's already a pretty good recipe. Throw in one side's jealousy and rage when the successful product didn't belong to them, and oh geez that's just a mess waiting to be spilled. Suffice to say, but the couple had tried to conceive a Chimera numerous times before his success. Failures met an untimely and grisly end that fortunately he would avoid.
However when news of his Dual Kagunes reached the ears of the shafted party tensions climbed quickly. Guarded closely not because he was a child, but because of his worth his existence was enough to shatter the finely balanced agreement. Ghoul fought against ghoul in a short-lived and bloody conflict. While young, he had long known that there was no love in this household nor would there ever be. He had no father, and his "mother" didn't deserve the breath it took to utter the world. More immediately, he didn't any other reason than the cloying scent of blood and thump of corpses to flee the building.
That's not to say he made it out without a fight, but they'd already put him through his paces with the basics of Kagune handling. The Ghoul that on guard obviously hadn't expected much of a fight from some brat who couldn't have been older than ten. Which was why he fell quickly and without much of a struggle when wings enveloped him in darkness and a blade plunged through his chest. Despite the urge to dig into his first real meal rather than the slivers provided, the boy continued to run and put his past behind him.
The streets weren't much kinder, but there was a sense of freedom he quickly came to enjoy. Eventually though, the novelty died down as well and he was faced with the world's unkindness.
(Figure this part can get worked out when the four characters have been accepted. Sort of hard to write a history with three others when I don't know who they are after all.)
The old man had done a lot for Kasachi... enough that he could have stood by the smoldering remains for days and not be done with his thanks. His name, a home, a family, training... all that and more. He didn't linger for longer than was necessary to say his thanks to his father before he turned to the others. The pit that formed in his stomach at how uncertain their futures were didn't settle in the slightest, but he knew what his course of action was. He had never taken to school like some of them had, and despite the old man's insistence had spent more time on the street than in-class. Where some of his siblings had read books and gone through their schooling, he had spared with the old man and honed his ability to fight.
With the old man gone, he needed to be stronger to protect himself and his siblings. His current level of strength would not do... the old man's death was a painful, but clear reminder of that. While they did not follow the same path, his siblings did seem to agree that they all had their own paths to follow. With a promise to see each other and keep in touch they walked their separate paths. Kasachi hoped and wished them the best before he headed straight into a hell of his own making.
While Kasachi Hyouta might have disappeared then, it took a while before any news of Deathstalker began to circulate. A Chimera that devoured its own kind like a voracious eater, moving from Ward to Ward without care of territories and leaving plenty of conflict in its wake as Ghouls scrambled to become leader in the areas it had purged of previous ownership. Occasionally it would drop off the news for months on end, but just as rumors of its death began to circulate the Chimera would appear to feast again. There were even sparse reports of CCG encounters, but many were short-lived as the Ghoul seemed to quickly flee from Investigators that shouldn't have posed a challenge for such a rating.
Just as the rumors had seemed to become routine, yet another ripple stirred the mills. Apparently Deathstalker had been upgraded to a SS rank by the CCG, a rank certainly warranted by the rumor that held the Ghoul had obtained a Kakuja. Yet for all that people tried to find out about this new development it seemed that he had truly disappeared. Months passed by with little news, until it had been a year since any real sighting of the Ghoul.
As if to show the world, or more specifically three specific people, he still lived Kasachi appeared, clad in his Kakuja, in bright day-light. It was certainly an odd occurence with plenty of panic as the local CCG assets scrambled to respond, but he had retreated rapidly after confirming the first news camera on scene. No overlord or savior but himself. He did this several other times at apparently random intervals to reassure his family that, yes, he was still alive.
Although he had paid the grave numerous times, Kasachi could not say he had ever felt this proud when he approached. It wasn't hubris to say that only the greatest of threats would be able to harm what was left of his family as long as he was around. He promised the old man he would protect them to the best of his abilities, and now he hoped that they would let him do just that. For one reason they had gathered at the grave site today as well, so he supposed he was about to find out.
Other: Enjoys Vietnamese iced coffee immensely. He can't use as much condensed milk since too much disagrees with his inhuman nature, but a bit doesn't bother him.
Often times Kasachi will leave human bodies untouched unless there's an urgent need to feed, such as he's just finished a battle with Investigators. It's probably a laughable effort from him, but he tries to at least make the corpses somewhat presentable. Better a clean cut to separate the legs or arms than bite marks.
