Persona:Ming's family had taught her to above all else, fight for Thao. If she were to be captured and interrogated, die before revealing any information. If someone disrespects their nation, cut them down. Due to this, Ming has a deep patriotic love for their nation, and is under the impression, based on what she is told, that it is far superior to the others. Ming does not tolerate any disrespectful notions to her country, but at the same time does not loath foreigners (as long as they do not go against Thao.) Though she does not fully understand why the nation is in a constant state of war, or why it is better then all of the others, she does not question it, and accepts it for what it is. She figures that as long she is able to prove via combat, the war isn't a particularly bad thing. Ming only really truly does anything for either pleasure, or for her nation, with no real dreams or aspirations beyond combat.
In her spare time, Ming enjoys laying in open fields by herself (though preferably not far from others) and reading or simply thinking to herself. She particularly enjoys doing this in the night time or when it rains, believing that the rain would wash away all the blood stains her hands. Ming is very carefree out of combat, but prefers to not speak to others. She enjoys her own company, and will go out of her way to be alone, not because of a dislike of people, but because of how much she enjoys the serenity of lack of a quiet environment. Ming is by all means an introvert. When she does speak to others, Ming will not always voice her first thoughts, and will give her response a bit of thought, though she does her best to remain pleasant throughout a conversation. Despite this, Ming is insecure about herself, and when given the chance enjoys showing off her skills.
Combat DetailsEquipment:Dun Jian: A weapon Ming purchased off of a subordinate of Fang Hua Yan, who had obtained it from Doniaeth. It had cost her quite a bit of money, but she never regretted her decision to purchase it, as it allows her to be much more versatile in combat. Ming is able to flow fluidly from one form to the other, though it is more difficult to have it return to it's staff form. The weapon appears as it does in the image provided, with slight coloring differences. The blades and outer layer of the staff are made mostly of reinforced steel, causing it's primary color to be a light gray. When carrying it around, Ming will tend to have it in it's staff form, though she does have sheaths on either side of her waist for the blades. It's name translates to "Blunt Sword".

Abilities/Magic/Technology:Assess Thy Enemy - Ming is able to determine the best course of action when facing an enemy. This is how she determines which form of her weapon to use, and how to use it. This ability extends to machines in the sense that Ming is able to tell the weak point of any given contraption is, so that she can either wail on it with her staff or slice it down whith her swords. This ability only truly comes into affect either after Ming has been in combat with her opponent for a decent amount of time, or if she has gone against her opponent before (thus having previous knowledge on how to fight him, her, or it.
Ki AbilitiesMonkey: Shatter the Earth - This ability is only available if Dan Jian is in it's staff form. Ming channels her Ki through her weapon and into the ends of her staff, allowing her to deliver a single crushing blow that could leave a crater in the ground.
Mantis: Rend - This ability is only available if Dan Jian is in it's dual sword form. Ming channels her Ki through her weapon and into the blades of her swords, allowing them to penetrate almost any metal. This ability ends on either sword after it slices through something, but remains available for the other blade until it too hits.
Monkey/Mantis Hybrid: Endless Flow - Ming channels her Ki into both her hands and Dun Jian, increasing her dexterity and the rate at which her weapon is able to transfer between staff and dual swords. She is then able to unleash an incessant flurry of attacks from both of her weapons forms, which she can now switch out almost instantaneously, without them being hindered by the transformation in the slightest. This cannot last for long periods of time, and usually lets up after a minute. Ming becomes incredibly exhausted after she does this, rendering her unable to move. Due to this set back, she rarely ever uses it, and only if she has exhausted all other options. While this happens, her hands and weapon glow slightly white.

Physical Techniques:Proficient in Bojutsu - Also known as the staff technique, Ming is an excellent combatant when it comes to fighting with staffs. It is her preferred form of fighting, in which she strikes or stabs at her opponent in order to inflict painful injuries or even break bone if her swing has enough force behind it (though typically this will only happen if her opponent is already incapacitated, or otherwise somewhat unable to move.) Ming may twirl her staff around to display her skill or taunt her opponents, but can also use this as a form of fighting if she is surrounded by many enemies.
Proficient in Ryoto Jutsu - Also known as the art of Dual Sword, Ming is skillful in fighting with two blades. Depending on the situation, Ming may take an aggressive approach in which she rapidly slices at her opponent, each swing building of the displacement the previous one had made in her opponents body and position, until he or she missteps, allowing Ming to land a hit. If her opponent is one who prefers blocking over dodging, her attacks will be much more reactory. Ming will wait for her opportunity to parry or dodge her foes attacks and launch her own counter, however she will favor her weapons staff form in this sort of situation.
Pole Vaulting - With the use of her staff, Ming is able to jump much higher and leap over, or onto various obstacles. To perform a pole vault, Ming needs some space to run (perhapse 15 feet or so), and is able to reach a maximum height of 12 feet and a distance of 14 feet, but this may vary depending on her physical condition.

Strengths:Combat - As expected of a member of Thao's military, It is expected of Ming to be a skilled combatant, and is particularly skilful in fighting with staffs. Ming trained with both Thao's army, and her father, leading her to have a decent amount of experience. Her fighting style is very versatile, allowing her to be well off in a fight with most opponents.
Strong Will - Ming rarely gives up in any situation, whether it be a difficult battle or simply haggling with a merchant. Though she may be stubborn to a fault, her strong will means she is less likely to be demoralized and so has a greater chance in succeeding in her endeavors (or dieing due to a sheer lack of considering the consequences of whatever it is she may be doing.)
Thoughtful - Ming spends a lot of her time thinking situations over, and though this may lead to anxiety, it also allows her to accurately assess situations most of the time. Ming's mind is never silent, and very often will have a monologue going in her head.
~~~
Weaknesses:Light Armor - Ming dislikes being held down by heavy armors, and so she prefers to battle in bleached white leather armor, boots, and gloves, covering all of her body but her head. Though this allows her to be a bit quicker, it makes it so that she is much more susceptible to being staggered, or completely knocked down, by many attacks.
Manipulation - Ming has a strong sense of morality when it comes to the truth, to the point that she rarely lies (and only when on the topic of her nation when confronted by a foreigner.) This also leads her to be very easy to manipulate, since she believes most people tell her the truth (including foreigners to some degree.) When spoken to by her superiors, she almost never objects to any of their commands.
Out of Touch With Nature - Coming from a wealthy family, Ming is at a loss when it comes to self preservation in nature. If not given food and water, Ming will be in a quite a bit of danger since she has absolutely no clue on how to hunt, assess where it would be best to sleep, deal with animals (most of the time they end up biting her), find fresh water, or determine which berries or mushrooms are non-poisonous. Because of this, she does her best to not travel alone when out in the wild, or at least keep herself supplied with enough provisions to last her the trip.
