I think it depends on how he alters minds. Through touch would lessen his effectiveness. Also the strength of his ability. Some minds might be harder for him to get into.

That's my point: with the collar on--which he gets at level 2--he's just a brooding and very typical teenager. It wouldn't make sense to single him out. He has no record of crime or anything save for his parents getting scared.

Levels 2 and 3 are both considered dangerous, but 3 is reserved for someone with a dangerous personality as well. An angsty teenager isn't dangerous without powers. His teenage hormones won't threaten the security of Hawthorn. Putting him on the same level as the criminals in the facility just doesn't make sense.

We don't really have a working plot at the moment--just a premise and setting. So I don't think anyone can get too left behind if we start now.

But again, whatever makes you comfortable is what I recommend going with. Waiting an hour or two won't hurt anyone.

My main reasoning on the subject of his power rating is the sub-basement, where nobody is allowed.

What would be the first thing a mind reading, brooding and very typical teenager would do if his collar slipped? Look straight into what the guards knew was in there. I'm not saying that he deserves L3, I'm just saying that could be their reasoning XD

On the note of the IC: So long as major plot doesn't happen, you can go ahead and start if you wish.

I figure we could start up the IC and get some intros going and stuff like that but nothing like 5 pages then someone logs on and is like HOLY SHIT WHAT HAPPENED

Hmm I like the idea of power changes when she copies but to ask, how does it work again? Is it through touch or does she have to be in the same room or do the people she tries to copy have to let her copy? Also do the powers fade over time or?

She can only have one at a time and must be within 15 feet of her target, but they don't fade and it doesn't need to be a willing copy. By taking a new power she loses the old.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Just under six feet tall with dirty, matted brown hair and green eyes that give off a shine like an animals' in the night. Has a mixed Caucasian-Hispanic background and resembles the later in complexion. He's scarred up all over, and many of the scars appear very old.

Personality: Some part of his personality has always been stuck at a childlike level. In some ways he is capable of acting as an adult, but in other ways he has never really matured and this keeps him from surviving in the real world. He's a folksy soul, playful and laid back. Ardal has an ear for music and could be a talented musician if he felt motivated to try. However, he has extremely low self-esteem and has never strived to accomplish much with his life.

Power: The power of control over all serpents, a snake charmer. He also has the ability to shapeshift himself into a Yellow-Bellied Sea Snake.

For right now no one is separated and the collars haven't been given out yet, but when they are given they will have three settings

First when someone tries to use there powers they will start having a splitting head ach, second time someone tries they will start having a intense feeling of vertigo, lastly they will feel as if they are repeatedly being kicked in the stomach to the point they would want/need to vomit. And if someone would try to remove it they would experience a shock or burn
