Well, you're gonna have to do some editing then.

yeah, also do you guys want the actual RP written in first or third person?

We don't mind. First to third, or even the fourth is fine (fourth being 'breaking the fourth wall,' although don't spam this).

Wait, do they seriously pick on this in other RPs in RP Guild?

updated CS to account for change in timeline, and changed role of black knights to founding member

Thing is, there would be many, many vigilante groups formed after the event. I would suggest saying the Black Knights are in fact a combination of most of these groups, rather than somehow trumping every other vigilante group. It could however be that it trumps or combines with most of the other groups in West Metropolis, but even then you would have to deal with other groups developing in West Metropolis itself.

Plus, if you character's the founder and leader, how would he interact freely with other characters? Your character's position in hierarchy would limit him to being in a building for his own safety, planning with others to make coordinated attacks on bandits and such. (Assuming it becomes all-mighty and powerful. If it doesn't, then it brings the issue of... joining other groups of characters with a whole bunch of vigilantes under your watch.)

Another problem I found is that your biography doesn't seem to acknowledge the destruction of the planetoid, instead just skipping ahead with transformation when your character decides to die in his favoured place. Like... there no real difference in time, between the planetoid being destroyed and the mist appearing, which was presumably next morning.

(I used the word 'presumably' because I don't remember the plot very well.)

To answer Kabling, the mist happened about an hour after the explosion.

if its only an hour or so after the destruction he would still be in the lab when it affected the world... would a clean-room lab keep the mist out until it was opened?

also he was/will be a founding member not the leader

You don't really see those unless you're handling biological research, so definitely not if you're character's a meteorologist.

Coincidentally, my old character Milloon Hall in the original DA was a virologist. And managed to go blob free for a bit, until he started to transform the hard way (via intense explosions and security measures).

So anyway, that's still kinda burden to bear. Being the founding member means that even if he was potentially thrown in a coup/stepped down from power, he would still at least have a few supporters.

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I'll have to reject the app. I mean, if the Black Knights grow to the size I perceive them to (as in, enough to put them on the US map), then I'll have to say that's pretty 'OP,' because your character holds a bit of influence over it. His appearance implies he's still a part of it as well.

Speaking of OP, my decision can be superseded by Lugia. You can speak to him in case you don't agree to this; heck, I'm telling you this because I kinda want the group to come to fruition, but just can't see a proper future at the moment.

Incidentally, I asked this question already.

the lab was for the development of potential weather controlling technology, you would want it as controlled as possible, so a clean room is not that far out of the question.

the only reason i changed it to founding member was because its timeline wise not possible to have the group formed until he does it, or just not have it in play for a while altogether.

also asuterisuku- my bad, missed that

Name: Alexander "Sandy" Bridge
Gender: Male
Species: Gryphon
Age: 38
Appearance: Standing a mere meter (3.3') tall at the shoulder, Sandy's lithe frame is clearly built more for outright speed than any kind of endurance. But then that comes with the territory when you appear to be built from parts of a Peregrine Falcon and a Cheetah. The contrast between his golden eyes and his darker grey rear plumage causes the eyes to seem to shine out of the darkness, while the whiter chest feathers - intended to camouflage the falcon in flight - serve no such purpose as they give way to the black-ringed golden fur of the cheetah hind end.

While he sometimes still wears his lab coat - trimmed at the bottom, and with patches removed for the wings to fit through - he has difficulty finding apparel to fit, though he seems to care far less than he used to - a psychological change to go along with the physiological ones, perhaps? He also keeps a rain coat modified in a similar fashion for those days when the weather is too miserable to fly.

Bio: There isn't much to be said about Sandy's life prior to what is commonly referred to as the aversion of the Apocalypse. He was always a good student, though he kept mostly to himself - though a good all around student, he excelled particularly in fields relating to Biology. He wanted to know what made things tick, from a genetic level, to a cellular one to an organic one. Learning all he could about all manner of creatures became his passion, over the years, one that drove him to continue his studies, even after achieving his PhD. at the age of twenty seven from the University of West Metropolis, who eventually granted him tenure as a Professor for his knowledge, which allowed him to retain unlimited access to their laboratory facilities.

Sandy was never one to believe in any kind of doomsday scenario. He knew that life would always find a way to survive, even in seemingly impossible scenarios, and this would be no different; if humanity were wiped off the face of the Earth, it would simply be to pave the way for something new. As such, he was in the labs continuing his research on the genetic diversity between certain insect subspecies at the time of the Pulse. There was a horrendous, albeit brief cacophony that stirred him from him findings, accompanied by a bright flash visible still through the shuttered window; the lab equipment, the lights, everything else shut down moments later. At first, Sandy thought it would be a normal power outage, but the minutes passed without the building's generators kicking in. The lab's automatic doors had been sealed from the outside. Until someone came along, he was trapped. Hours passed into the night as he grew more and more weary, his findings already recorded via pen and paper rather than the computer that usually served the task, and still no one came. Eventually, his fatigue overcame him, but not before he noticed a fine white haze. He had thought, at the time, that it was simply sleep deprivation getting to him.

If only he had known then.

Powers: His light frame is swifter than most, though only for brief periods at a time, and he is fully capable of flight; perhaps more so than others of his kind due to his comparatively light frame, as well as canny use of what little control of the Air he has. He theorizes that with the right materials that he would be able to use this to generate a fair amount of Static Electricity, though he has refrained from experimenting with this, as the exercise drains him terribly.

Weaknesses: As mentioned, excessive use of 'magic,' (though as a scientist, he is loathe to call it that) leaves him sluggish and weary, leaving him vulnerable to attacks it would normally be child's play for him to dodge. His small frame and light bone structure are highly susceptible to physical strikes, and his feathers don't do much to pad a blow.

Other: Having worn glasses for most of his human life, Sandy thoroughly appreciates the keen new eyes that the change has granted him. The talons, on the other hand, he could do without; while sharp and imposing, they lack some of the fine motor capabilities that his hands require for a large portion of his work.

Well, I gotta say that I like that app. You're in... also, scientists are currently referring to magic as a 'new and unnamed type of energy'... it's a mouthful, I know, but what do you expect when the thing's only been around for mere hours?

Has anyone noticed the sudden influx of scientists? Now I have to change my own character's profession. Good job trying to survive the apocalypse for a mere extra human post.

The clean room in question would most likely be only the weather room. (It's as controlled as you can get.) The room where tests are conducted. Somewhat similar to this:

I don't expect your character to actually hop into the room for safety.

Look. You can either have your character interacting with the group, or even joining as a member. The problem is, even as a founding member, he's gonna get quite a bit of power. Something that everyone else doesn't have, because they're not in high positions of power.

(Well, except for me and Lugia, but that's not related to this.)

(...and fix up your grammar. I can barely understand the sentence, so I have to give a bad answer to it.)

Sorry about that; I just like the idea of a man having to watch as everything he's taken for granted gets ripped away piece by piece. It'll be hard on him, essentially having to start all his research from scratch with minimal equipment (and I'm going to assume NO volunteers)...

Okay. I'm gonna spoil something:

In the original DA, there's a phoenix known as Richard. He's Milloon's (which is now Miles, since Lugia doesn't want Miles hanging around anymore) best friend, as well as his boss in the Central Disease Foundation.

Basically, later on, it was planned for him to do some research on the species and give vital information to everyone in our group. Unfortunately, that never happened because the RP died.

So, really, that's already been filled. Depending on how much of the original story we modify.

I won't modify anything that I don't have to, and Richard's staying..
but more as a former best friend of Miles who went crazy about three years ago, or, alternatively, while the two were both in college.

yeah, sorry for the grammar; it was getting on 1:30 am when i posted it and was falling asleep with laptop in bed. Secondly the whole human post was going to be used for a short flashback section to catch up to where he was when he enters the RP, though i guess i can still do it just with a bit more of his chimera form than was originally planned. As for the founding member thing, i will drop it back to just an associate until some time passes and they get bigger before having him join them.

Yup, and he will bring the news that would have brought the MM down.
As for fawce, that seems like a good plan.
