"Nice to meet you Neku." She said with a small smile

"Yeah...same here." Neku says, a faint smile gracing his face.

JayCee continued to smile. "I've been good actually. How have you been?" She ask, her voice as calm as always. She managed to stay next to him as they walked. She was shorter than him, though she was shorter than everyone, so she had to take quicker steps to keep up with him. She knew that sometimes he forgot that her legs weren't as long as his and she was used to needing to walk faster to keep up.

" Alright now that I have rested a bit, I'm back at full energy." Arc said as he stood up from the bench. Arc looked around to see if he could spot his partner but to no avail he didn't see her yet. ' I wonder where she is.' Arc taught to himself.

Satsu ran up the stairs happily, acouple of times she threatened to trip. She had a lollipop resting in her lips as she skipped past a bench then stopped "Ace" she smiled happily and ran over to him, jumping up and hugging him.

As soon as Arc felt the hug he knew who it was. " Hey Satsu everything okay ? And would you mind not hugging me, it's kinda embarrassing." He said to the girl, getting a little embarrassed when she was hugging him.

She rolled her eyes and jumped down. She held her bag over her shoulder and against her back "Gee, sowwy for my greeting" she laughed "I'm pretty good, boring break though" she sighed "how about you, what gave you been up to, how are you?"

"Well I'm good too." He said with a smile. "But I'm happy I'm back here, I missed my friends and my partner of course." He said as he patted her head.

Jasper begins to slowly ascend the stairs, showing up late to the party. There's no point showing up way before classes start anyway he thought to himself. Footsteps of ice are left behind him on the steps, quickly melting as he leaves them. He walks up beside Neku, the air noticeably cooler around him. "Hello everybody, good to be back." Ice crystals emanate a few inches from his shoes on the ground.

"Well I'm good too." He said with a smile. "But I'm happy I'm back here, I missed my friends and my partner of course." He said as he patted her head.

She giggled and smiled as he pet him, she then pulled a packet of gummy bears from her bag and handed to him "for you" she laughed

"What took you so long?" Neku asks Jasper, glancing at him from the corner of his eye.

Kiri casually sauntered up the long-ass staircase leading to the Death Weapon Meister Academy. He didn't know exactly why they were placed there, but that was a question for another day. Apparently he had to go to classes again, which was most definitely not why he had come to this place, where his first companion could be killed for sport at any moment. No, Kiri came for the opportunity to kill other things like him - but not him - for sport. He might've been late, but he didn't bother to check the time as he left.

Speaking of which, he didn't see James this morning. Maybe he was out. Maybe he was there, but he wasn't perceptive enough to find him. Kiri momentarily wondered what the Gl-James the Good Witch was up to, but soon forced the thought out of his mind as he crested the peak of path. He noted other people around, doing things and making conversation that he didn't pay too much attention to, and then his partner, who he only cared slightly enough about to greet her good morning. Like so: "Good morning," he greeted bluntly. He didn't visit too much over the summer, that was for sure. Too busy screwing around in foreign cities.

"Good morning Kiri." Elu said looking up at her partner with a look of sheer boredom. People wondered how these two could be partners but even Elu couldn't figure it out. She never got along very well with Kiri, probably due to her quiet nature but she did hold some little shred of respect for her weapon.

"Hmph," the Japanese teen grunted. He looked off to the side at the others conversing and muttered, "When the hell's class gonna start? I wanna get this over and done with so I can get to the real action." He threw his hands into his jacket pocket and impatiently sighed. All the stagnation was getting on his nerves, that was for sure.

The first bell rang signaling students to get to class. "There. Your wish came true." Elu said with sarcasum dripping like vemon from her voice and she stood up and pushed her way past her partner and towards the school building.

The Tower. Sixteenth of the Major Arcana. It symbolized crisis, a sudden change and a sudden upheaval. It was often considered an ill moment.

...and it was also the most common answer the Arcana gave to James lately. And by lately, it meant ever since he first came to Death City.

Any other witch would loudly question why he was here. Why he was in the halls of the DWMA, heading to class surrounded by hundreds of slayers of his own kind. Worse, unlike those witches, he didn't even have any power to take comfort in nor any sense of superiority he could bring up to downplay the danger. Instead, he had to admit, he felt like sheep in the middle of a pack of wolves. Even after Shinigami-sama and the authority of the school said they would protect his safety, even if he was a witch, he was still unsure. Accidents did happen, after all. Kiri was here, though, so that could be said to be some small degree of comfort.

Oh well. Then again, the Tower wasn't completely bad, although most of the omens were ill. Hearing the bell ring, James looked up from the tarot card he was staring at and headed to his classroom.

He had a class to teach.

Elu walked down the halls towards her classroom. Her brown hair was ruffled up from the breeze and she was giving of a aura of anger. Probably she had the partner that ticked her off easily but she had to deal with it since he was the only person who wanted to be her partner

"Gee. Sarcasm. That's totally original," Kiri retorted sarcastically, rolling his eyes in exasperation as his 'partner' decided to brush past and head off to class. The bell had rang, which was good since that'd let him get the boring monotony of the classroom all done and over with sooner. Though, he couldn't help but feel a sense of... foreboding? Something just felt very, very off as he got closer and closer to the school building. It was like the feeling in a horror movie where you know something's going to jump out, but when it does people scream anyway. The sissies. "Still... Wonder what it could be..." he murmured.

Jasper responded with a quick "I'm not eager to go to class, but I do have to." The bell rang out and he looked up with a look of derision. "Let's go, then. Wait up, Elu, we're going to the same place anyway." He walked alongside Elu, a pillar of cool disdain for class alongside her fiery anger. "So who do you think is our teacher this year?"

Looking over at Kiri, Jasper remarked "Hey you look a little off, we're at school. Relax." Despite his warnings though, Jasper respected Kiri's instincts and looked around , the temperature dropping sharply as he focused his senses, the cold emanating from his person strongly. "Look, let's get to class you two."
