Right, so from now, this is going to be what the Collective does. In order to keep it so its obvious everyone knows I am still playing them but at the same time protecting my plan for them internally from getting distorted due to recent events, almost anyway the Collective show up will be small and covert.
I came up with an excuse for their isolation. They are currently in a war, far, far away of a massive size which requires a huge devotion of resources, thus they are moving External stabilisation forces to this combat zone.

I find it unfair that Duck just immediately absorbs one of his former Pact races with a totally new empire that no one has seen before. If the Asari have any brains whatsoever, they would join the AIF, or remain independent, not jump right into the next empire that shows up saying "We help you," if even that.

I can understand wanting one of the races back in another go at the Equiis Pact, but that doesn't mean you just instantly start it up. People don't just join groups like that without serious consideration. If they do, they probably won't be worth it.

Its easy to get someone to join you when you have a few million ships right outside there borders. Beside there not that big or advanced, the Romans mainly want them to add them to the diversity of there races and the Asari's racial abilities are nice. That and the Asari control some of the new Eezo resources in the universe.

I find it more funny how they managed to trace it back to the Collective so quickly. It's not as if they beamed the planet into Collective space with a big sign saying 'STOLEN PLANET!' or turned up with an army to do so, they quietly dispatched a small group, which could be passed off easily as Infandus if they were caught (Or even Goa'uld infected individuals' into chaos which would likely make them harder to spot, and then the planet disappears about 15 minutes later and the New Romans instantly try to declare war on a Nation they barely know anything about (I assume the Asari were able to tell them the difference between Collective warships and the ones attacking the planet, as the latter were massive pyramids in a frame. If not, the Asari are blind xD)

So, to lay it out

They know nothing about the Collective, but are somehow able to detect what is theres and what isn't in the midst of Chaos (Duck suggested there were millions of soldiers in his last post) and trace it back to the Collective ignoring the Elephant in the room (This is a little like finding a hundred thousand Chinese soldiers with a single Russian fighting among them, who could be anything from a merc to a gangster to someone who moved to China, and thus saying it's all the Russians fault, declaring war on Russia and ignoring that China was the one who invaded) after they see technology they know nothing about (And thus couldn't possibly know whether it's Collective or not, it's a wormhole not a space ship) and then declaring war on a nation they know nothing about on what is essentially a guess... GG xD

By nothing I mean very little. I doubt the Asari were able to fill the Empire in with everything they know about the Collective in such a short time.

There IS nothing known. MY people looked at the portal and traced where the giant burst of energy had come from, and was returning to. We were all "We can sneak right in behind them with a fleet, and follow them!"

Duck, on the other hand, just kind of... popped up next to them, screaming "FOR BLOOD AND WAR!!!" and then gathering everyone up as they charge them. Even though he has NO IDEA WHATSOEVER how big the new Collective is.

Please, please squash him like a bug. He can't be nearly as powerful as the Equestrians, Triarian Collective, or the AIF, no where near, since he ain't a big-three, nor are people allowed to start with superpowerarmies

Oh, and not everyone bows down whenever they see an overwhelming force.

Look at Iran. Look at Germany. Hell, Russia sent millions in waves against Germany, and Germany didn't scream, cry, and join the Russians, now did they?

The US and various nations send waves and waves of tanks and troops to Iraq/Iran, and people are still fighting back.

The Gauls, Egyptians and Celts in the times of the Roman Empire, they stood and fought against overwhelming odds. The Indians against the Americans, Afghanistan against the Russians, etc

But obviously, everyone fears the Romans, for they are the best!

...Wait...
that's not right
no one knows the Romans
No one cares about the Romans, cause they just showed up
And just took an independent race by threat of war
I think this requires AIF-Supreme Intervention, don't you think, Darkwolf?

We really must free these people that are forced into an empire that threatens them with war if they did not.

They weren't going to war, the Romans were just shifting forces around as they asked, then the Asari accepted.

My fingers are tired for posting a long character sheet for another roleplay.

I'll be cooking up soon.

Well, people can still say stuff. Have a random sensors officer mention a radar blip that never comes up again or something, maybe have foreshadowing in some galaxy that nobody will ever reach? Borg? Reapers? Omnipotent beings? we've got to have some roleplay deus ex machina! VotS collects those!

I say we purge what we have and start this RP anew.

The size of our Empires and there technology is getting out of hand, and the small empires will never be able to catch up. We have species that are overpowered and constantly preforming Deus Ex Machinas(looking at the Supremes). Plus the story line content is starting to stagnate quite a bit, and with a new RP it wouldn't be as bad.
