Moetesville was built on the remains of a fifth age military town that was swollowed by the sudden appearance of a massive swamp during the emergence. An ever present fog has erased all but the memory of the sun, and swamp gas makes it stink...
Nobody chooses to live in Moetsville... And no one would, even without the swamp. The gated upper class neighborhoods are policed to the point of tyranny by the armed divison of the fasciest AA Corp, Zodiac. Just outside the walls of those communites, the rundown slums are controlled by the ruthless Vory crimelords. Don't waste your time trying to find anything in between either, it doesn't exist.
As horrible as the town is for it's citizens (trapped there by poverty, drug addiction, Corp contracts, or likely all three), it is even worse for Shadowrunners. See, there are no shadows in Moetsville. Here the lines are clearly drawn... There's the black allyways, where the Vory run their criminal enterprises, and there's the blinding spotlight of Zodiac's psudo-utopian nanny state... and neither one is particularly fond of the meddleing of Shadowrunners... No, no Shadowrunner in their right mind would be in Moetsville...
Which is exactly why you're here now. You messed up, you trusted the wrong 'friend', ran a job against someone you really ought to not have, or saw something you shouldn't have. Now you have no choice but to hide in the one place that the people after you would never think you were crazy enough to go. After all, if you keep a low profile nothing could possibly go wrong... right?

----------

**Character Sheets:** There is no formal character sheet, but all players should give some information on character background, appearance, and skills. Also, don't forget to fill out an actual character sheet in mythweavers. You can either post it here, or PM it to me.

**OOC Discussion:** Joke, plan, colaborate... have at it.

Ooooh, yay~

Well, as everyone knows, my character is a fox. Not a whole lot happens in a year of a fox's life.

Name: Valerie (Not "Val")
Role: Mage/Infiltrator
Metatype: Err...none. She's a sapient, Awakened, dwarf red fox.
Height/Weight: Just under a foot tall, and just under 12 pounds.

Background: Like I said, not a whole lot beyond Zodiac's experimentation*. She escaped in the past couple months**, and soon found her way into Kyoht {played by Kostvel}'s life. She speaks through him, though she's perfectly capable of communicating on her own with text-to-speech programs through her custom commlink-collar.

* Her family, back several generations, have been bred as a way to experiment with the "mage gene." Before foxes, rats and dogs were used for the purposes of making more dangerous warforms. They experimented with foxes, cats, and small dogs as well, for people who needed more discreet, portable protection. She was the only success as of the time she left, and learned magic and most of the other things she knows through Zodiac's standard animal training procedures, as well as observation when they weren't looking. She "bonded" with her handler by means of a mindlink she taught herself, and her handler taught her how to read. Of course, her sapience and education was all documented. She was treated as a successful experiment, and was to be broken into service as soon as they possibly could. She was even taught the basics of computer use, though it was a difficult process, given her small size and non-metahuman shape.

** She studied Zodiac's security procedures and the routes they took around the labs, and did independent research on the lab computer whenever she could escape and do so. She taught herself how to create an acid stream to melt through doors and destroy the computer her handler recorded data on (this didn't erase the data, of course, as it was all backed up elsewhere, and the research was spread to corporate HQ; she's by no means a master at computers, being a fox and all). Detect life to find guards, swarm to distract them, improved invisibility to slip past them, and stunball to knock out the mages who could see her.

Skills: Skills relate to magic use and nonsocial infiltration, basically, as well as basic skills needed for her to survive and function.
{Character Sheet} (That's a lot of skills and spells and stuff to rewrite. <.<)

This looks so short. But...she's a young fox, and doesn't have a lot of stuff.

A combination of lightning/shitty weather and work has kept me kinda away from my computer, but I have put everything in Myth weavers. I'll finish up a quick backstory and other stuff tomorrow after work.

I would really like to join this, but since I'm new to making a Shadowrun character I'm having some trouble figuring it out. Could I possible have some help with it?

Name: Kyoht Laughren
Role: Gunslinger Adept
Metatype: Human
Height/Weight: 5'9” 200lbs
Appearance: At first look, Kyoht looks rather disheveled, He pays no read attention to fashion or clothing, preferring to wear casual jeans and tshirts underneath his long dark grey duster. His green eyes are framed by his somewhat long and badly cut dark brown hair. He is usually seen sporting a few days to a weeks worth of rough stubble. His body bears no particular markings, other than a few minor scars and burns.

Background: Kyoht remembers very little of his early years, due to an affect from the installation of his cyberware. This complication arose from the fact that at the time Kyoht used a rundown and dilapidated bodyshop for his installation, to save on a few nuyens. While he was successful both saving a bit of money and earning himself some extra quick reflexes, he received a crippling fever from dirty surgical instruments and poor medical hygiene. While eventually fighting off the fever, the toll of the sickness affected his mind. He lost much of his memory from before the operation, and became slightly unhinged, often displaying crazed characteristics from time to time. That said, his current memory is spot on, and has great photographic memory.

He tends to demonstrate a lack of social graces, and his distinct lack of leadership can show in some situations. Otherwise he is a great marksman, honing his skills with distinct focus. Kyoht's favored weapon is his Dynatech Harpoon Gun, a customized weapon with scale decoration which he calls “Fish Tooth”. While affective at range, kills with the weapon are very distinctive. He is also apt with revolvers, and sniper rifles as well.

Finding himself having to lay low after a particular job gone wrong, he found himself heading out of the city with no possessions other than what he could carry. By a string of unfortunate events he found himself in Moetsville. Living off the small stash of money he had set aside, it was after spending a few weeks in the town when he met Val. Striking up a partnership, he has worked with her since.

Name: Kelraz (alias Mana Troll)

Role: Mage/Academic/Medic/Mage Duelist

Metatype: Fomorian (Troll metatype)

Height/Weight: 6'6", 530 pounds

Background: Following his goblinization, Kelraz experienced quite the disowning. Rather than just cast him out, his parents tried to kill him. After a couple gunshot wounds and a few stab wounds, Kelraz dragged his bloody heap into a random neighborhood, forsaking the family name and any desire to see them again. There, some surprisingly down to earth elves brought him in and nursed him back to health. Once he could walk, he surprised them by quickly showing massive academic aptitude. They directed him to a professor for further learning. There, he underwent his Awakening as he learned science and humanities. After awakening, due to a bit of bad luck, he touched some cold forged steel. It caused minor pain all along the place it touched. After learning of his more mild allergy, Kelraz convinced the professor to let him test other metals. The other metals were not allergy inducing. He then spied and old blade in a display case. The steel was oddly made, holding a weird grain. The professor opened the case for him to touch the blade and no sooner than he touched it did his skin begin to burn with searing pain. A bout of cursing and a bandaged hand later, Kelraz committed his two new allergies to memory, hoping he never had to worry about them. in addition, the Awakening caused his eyes to become pure gold in color. Not an amazing trait if you want to be invisible, but something he lives with.

His time with the professor ended after he mastered all the material in the professor's teaching ability. This left him on the streets to fend for himself. His knowledge and his ability to cast spells led him to begin shadowrunning. He quickly discovered that his goblinization carried a recessive trait that gave him a consistent layer of armor in his skin that felt somewhat like smooth, soft stone. As he ran, he gained combat skills and learned spells, becoming a veritable combat medic, scholar, and mage all in one. Then, he was betrayed.

The crew he ran with left him to die as part of their mission objectives. Apparently, he had pissed someone off. Luckily for him, the guards were terrible shots and he escaped with his life. That is how he made it to Moetesville. He came in loaded with all his mission gear and quickly set up as a slum emergency doctor. It kept him busy and kept the authorities from looking too closely as he had the license needed for the work. He didn't do surgery, but he provided first aid and emergency healing, often masking his magical healing as simply impressive skill. All the while, he worked the underground to attempt to figure out who burned him and why.

Skills: Survival skills with athletic abilities, scholarly knowledge, first aid, spellcasting, and summoning. Proficient in hand to hand, skilled in archery. Able to use Arcana to figure out new spells.

Sheet: Kelraz

Well, that's three. I'm going to wait a little bit to try and hook in a couple more. If we don't have anything new on Monday, then I guess we'll play with what we have.

I'm interested in this, but I have never played a Shadowrunner's game (mainly D&D). I'm a fast learner and if you guys have the tolerance for my ignorance then I would love to see if I can get the pdf's online some how as I'm already familiar with mythweavers. If you guys don't want a beginner I'll be content with watching.

Same as I said before to someone else, I can help. I have a lot of 4th edition memorized. Just PM me. If you have Skype, it'll be more convenient, since I'm on there a lot more than on here; just PM the account if you want that.

Yep, that looks like the book.

History and basic in-world knowledge starts on pg24. The book should walk you through the process of character building starting on page 80.
