... why would you need to ask if a tech-priest is a tech-priest. The robes and the mechadendrites are a dead giveaway. : |

Oh well, now Honoria thinks he's brain damaged.

That made me laugh.

I'll add a list of all the stuff that we get from the life-pod later, probably in my next post or two.

Outside the pod there was blue sky and clean sand, as well as an ocean.

I just said that the sky was overcast. Also, though I never said it, the beach is not a 'clean' beach. There's all sorts of twigs, rocks, leaves and other crap in it. Something like this:

On that note the forest is like this:

The general climate is damp and it's generally not a pleasant place to live.

Just wanted to clarify my mental image of the place.

Finally got this finished.

Name/Rank: Corporal Serah Yeshada
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Organization: Imperial Guard, 48th Cadian Light Infantry Regiment. 3rd Battalion, H Company, Air Assault Platoon, 7th Combat Team
Appearance: Boom.
History: Serah’s story is pretty much the same as every other Cadian in the galaxy. She was taught to strip, clean and assemble a lasgun before she could read, and taught combat drills before she turned ten.

At the age of fourteen, she was drafted into the 82nd Youth Army, where she did her four years of training prior to entering the regular Guard at eighteen. Most of her training there was centred on rapid assaults from airborne Valkyrie dropships, pushing deep behind enemy lines to secure objectives ahead of friendly forces or to act as a quick reaction force for units dropped in by Grav-chute to do the same job.
Personality: Serah’s upbringing has moulded her into a disciplined warrior. However, beneath this façade lies a slightly bloodthirsty enthusiasm, tempered in the flames of battle, along with a deep-rooted hatred of all things Chaos. Although that’s to be expected of a Cadian soldier, especially in the wake of the Thirteenth Black Crusade and the work that the Guard have had to do to kick them out of their beachheads.
Equipment/Wargear:
Armour:
Cadian Pattern Flak Armour
Weapons:
1x Kantrael MG 'Short' pattern Lasgun /w Combat Optical Gunsight and 4x reserve powerpacks
1x Adamantium Bayonet
3x M39 Pattern Fragmentation Grenades
Equipment:
1x Set, M37 Pattern Load-Bearing Equipment
1x Battle Dress Uniform, Cadian Pattern
1x Set, Imperial Dog Tags
1x copy “The Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer”
Skills/Abilities: (Can’t think of anything to go here.)
Other: Ave Imperator. Morituri te salutant.

Um... don't you think you should wait for the GM before you just decide to start killing things?

Yeah, um... I kind of think that our first encounter should really be set up by the GM, since otherwise it kind of comes off as though you're trying to rush things. ^^;

...And it's making it difficult for me to figure out how to make a post that makes sense right now, too. Hurm.

Rin: I would just follow the interrogator's orders, ignoring the mutants. That's what a mordian would do I think.

She's a Praetorian, but yeah, I guess that makes sense. Although I'm probably just going to ignore the mutants in general until Grothnor actually gives the go ahead for them.

I PM'd Groth before I did anything. I wouldn't just jump into it pre-GM-approval.

EDIT

Lucian said
The Ogryn and Gaius are having a look around, setting up a perimeter, etc. I'd like to know if it'd be okay for them to stumble across maybe a few mutants or something else unpleasant to fight. Thoughts?

Grothnor said
Sure. I was actually planning on having the group run into a mutant party anyway. I'd add human marauders to their party too, just simple medieval highwaymen. Armor shouldn't be more advanced than chainmail, using an assorted mix of swords axes, clubs, bows, crossbows and the rare flintlock. The mutants shouldn't be nearly as well equipped as the marauders, but they can be hellishly fast (with their extra jointed limbs). Their numbers should be anywhere from 12-20. I don't expect it to be much of a fight, and they'll probably run once we gun down half of them.

Going to be honest and say that something like that should probably have been discussed in the thread, since... Yeah. ^^; Something like our first engagement seems kind of important, after all.

But anyways, um... Guess I'll try and figure out a post.

Yeah, sorry. Next time I'll let you guys know if someone starts fighting that isn't me.

And now that you know their armaments, numbers and their general strategy, this isn't going to be much of a surprise. :/

EDIT: I'll be busy for the next hour or so; I'll post once I get back. Just so you guys know.

Apparently, surprises are not well received with our party. So, perhaps that's for the best.

EDIT: Also, yeah, sorry. Didn't mean to inconvenience anyone. I didn't assume it would be a very big deal, or that it'd make posting difficult for some of you. Apologies.
