So, for example, I have 5 fiefs (which is what I currently have in my Pre-NS excel sheet). I keep three?

Correct. Two will be left to either one or two vassals, depending on how wealthy the fiefs they obtain are.

@ Fiendish: French names are totally fine. I know it's a WIP, but I count 64 points spent. Are you planning on taking the Failing Family concern?

@ Mouseking: You do not need to pay upkeep/pay at the game's start. The only thing you need to pay for is the purchasing of equipment.

I think my NS is in order now. May I get your seal of approval Mr. GM?

Do we pay upkeep on equipment just for having it, or does it need to be in use for us to have to pay?

I'ma double-check, but by my count, you have one unspent point, and have your arming cost over 75,000, when it's actually 66,700. You didn't factor in pay to the arming cost, did you?

Do we pay upkeep on equipment just for having it, or does it need to be in use for us to have to pay?

Only if its in use do you pay upkeep. Hence why the cost for ranged weapons is usually higher than melee weapons: you need to buy arrows for that shit.

I have a quick question about the Eye of the Island concern that I just though about, are the invaders simple barbarians, or do you use the same tools, and weapons we use, but are just a bit crazier? Just a quick thought so I know what I'm up against in case you know, their Volcano decides it that time of the month.

The Islanders are an organized threat, which is why they give more points than the Bogan or Giant Concerns. The Bogans are technically organized, but the mercenaries are more concerned about their own skin, and have relatively unambitious goals.

Oh ok, I'm slightly more scared now, but I will stand my ground, and hide within my walls. That is what any good ruler would do right?

On that note, you may consider dropping the sling maintenance, since it's a piece of cloth that throws rocks you can find on the ground lol. It's the poor man's weapon.

It would be historically accurate.

Slings can throw stones, but the good ones are made to throw bullets. They were often preferable to bows due to the cost of arrows. But I suppose you're right. I'll debate whether to reduce it to 1 or cancel the upkeep altogether.

@ jiwon: Nevermind on that unspent point, but my arming calculations come to the same conclusion.

Hmm, I double checked. I actually forgot some things, which makes it a bit more expensive. However, my spreadsheet seems to say that the cost is correct now though. I'm going to check one more time. Would you mind crunching the numbers again for my equipment?

Edit: Ahh, kk. That 1 point. I'll go change everything back.

As said in the post above the one you just posted, forget that point, you spent 60 (unless you just edited it in).

Your equipment is now a-okay. I'm adding you to the accepted kingdom's list. Your steward (you have one of those, now that you're a king) will be handing you a report on your vassals, and other affairs of your land. Perhaps not tonight, since it's 2am here, but tomorrow certainly.

I'm pretty much wondering the same things as void, except about my Kingdom, or I guess Dukedom since technically we are under the command of a king, but still have vassals

All your points are spent, and your receipts are correct. When you finish your royal family (unless you don't want any family members or courtiers), I'll add you to the accepted kingdoms list, and send you a vassal report.

When you say a fief takes 48 hours to traverse, do you mean 48 hours total (like, 8 hours of travel a day) or 48 hours of pure travel time?

Working on it, but the general idea is that each round of posting will be either 1 season or 2 weeks within a season. The exact amount of hours is presented to avoid arguments.

"There's no way they could have reached that place in time! My horsemen are wayyy fasterer!"

"Nuh uh! My men are soft, and fluffy, and therefore can traverse 10 provinces, stop in a tavern for the night to fuck five wenches each, and still make it to Floobyshire with a season to spare!"

And VoiD, double checked, and you still have 1 point to spend. I suspect it's from the town: town's start with 1,000 people. It would only take 2 points to upgrade it to a pop. of 3,000. Other than that, you're good. Adding you to the accepted list.

EDIT: Thinking of calling everyone's kingdom 'Lands of House So-and-So.' It would fit into the theme well. Objections?

@ Titanic: I count 74 points. With the March of Mishfarden, you should have 76 (60+16=76). You listed just 'Bailey' as a castle option in a number of provinces, but counted it for 2 points. Does this mean you want both bailey types? Otherwise, you're receipts are good, but let me double-check them.

EDIT, the REDUX: Yup, your receipts are good. I assume your decreased treasury is your factoring in for vassals? No need to do that yet, since they haven't been assigned to you, but you can keep it like that for now. Just fix the point value thing, and you're accepted.

@ Toaw: Congrats on being the first perfect sheet. Adding you to the accepted list. Put your name down as Lands of House Montague. Now I'm considering doing that for everyone. Would make a great deal of sense, wouldn't it?

@ Mouseking: Your sheet's just about perfect. Would you like your fiefs to not have names, or simply be referred to as 'the first fief of King Maxwell,' or something akin? That's doable. Otherwise, names would help identify the specific fiefs. As well, you still don't need to pay upkeep and pay just yet, only the arming cost. Other than that, it looks great, and I love the Russian theme!

@ Outcast: Darling, your sheet is darling. You're 4 points over by my count, but it's still a WIP, of course.

Working on vassals as we speak. I must say, the dice Gods have a delightful sense of humour. Again, vassals and all necessary details about their function will be out both today and tomorrow. The complete list of in-game Actions should be done this Tuesday. Work is swallowing up a lot of my time, unfortunately.

On a lesser note, I've decided to drop the upkeep of slings to 0. I'd have to re-upload the whole pdf onto google drive just to mention that, so I'll add it in to the next update.
