Rommel, the desert fox. May he burn in hell.

He was a great commander and a good man. What do you have against him?

Some justification from Wikipedia:

Rommel is regarded as having been a humane and professional officer.[4] His Afrika Korps was never accused of war crimes, and soldiers captured during his Africa campaign were reported to have been treated humanely.[5] Orders to kill Jewish soldiers, civilians and captured commandos were ignored.[6] Late in the war, Rommel was linked to the conspiracy to assassinate Adolf Hitler. Because Rommel was a national hero, Hitler desired to eliminate him quietly. He forced Rommel to commit suicide with a cyanide pill, in return for assurances that Rommel's family would not be persecuted following his death. He was given a state funeral, and it was announced that Rommel had succumbed to his injuries from an earlier strafing of his staff car in Normandy.

Right, I've added the latest two characters to the OP, and I think that's everyone's characters all posted and accounted for.
While I'm busy mostly today and potentially tomorrow, I'll work up the intro to the IC in my head, and then get it up and post at my earliest opportunity so we can begin. I have a pretty straightforward mission for our beginning sortie, which is probably just as well, but will lead us into the rest of the plot and the adventure, and get our characters all into the action quickly, and then allow us to be introduced to one another in short order.

Thanks for being patient and waiting so far, and I'm glad the OOC hasn't been quiet. It's also good to have seen you all helping one another out with questions and queries where possible too. I'm looking forward to starting.

I just noticed that we have twelve players. How many aircrafts are typically in a squadron? (16 is the number I generally take, but that's not the only answer, is it?)

The original plan in the interest check was 4-10 players, but it looks like we've surpassed that point. The only experience I have with fighting in squads was Planetside 2, where the squad size was 12.

I mean, how many aircrafts are there typically in a real-life fighter squadron?

I think it depends on which air force it is, which kind of aircraft it is, and what they do. I'm not basing this on any research currently, but it stands to reason there'd be less aircraft in a heavy transport or bomber squadron than there might be in a fighter squadron.
Also, fighter squadrons don't always deploy in their whole to a region of operations, from my understanding. And also, this is an unusual situation and circumstance, so the numbers and rules might not necessarily apply in the same way. I think the number we have is somewhere between a couple of flights of aircraft and a whole squadron.

EDIT:

First hit on google:

Squadron, a unit of aircraft that consists of three or four flights with a total of 12 to 24 aircraft, depending on the type of aircraft and the air force, naval or army air service.

As for the German discussion brother i loved the germans in WW2 (Not including hitler and the nazi's). Now hopefully ya'll know this but the german people were fed propganda by hitler and led to believe that they were being attacked first. And if Hitler would have listened to his generals he might have actually won the war.

As for the motto i just don't like the chivalrous thing. Personally it just doesn't seem right fit but again i am probably against a majority. I wil grow to like it eventually but right now eh....not the best one i have seen.

And American soldiers fight for one of the most corrupt governments in the world.
Do I hate their government?
Yes.
Do I hate American soldiers?
No.
Why?
Because I can tell the difference.

Sure. Just wanted to let you know there's a difference between a man and his country.

Anyway, has anyone seen this yet? It's a pretty great nostalgia trip for those who are fans of Ace Combat.

"Patriotism is loving your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it." I believe Mark Twain said that. If there's a quote that I live by, it's that quote. I may disagree or dislike the people running Singapore, but it's still my home, and...Y'know, Singapore's (and everywhere, for that matter) got it's own charm once you start looking at it.

Or maybe I'm just telling myself that 'cause in a few months I'll be conscripted into the army. Eh.

Actually, the Chivalry bit is the bit I DO like. I'm not really aiming to run a nihilistic grim slog through aerial warfare. I want to have fun, and enjoy being a big damn hero and a good guy.
That's the game I'm running here, Sorry if it's not 'edgy' or 'realistic' enough for everyone, but I would've thought the submarine aircraft carrier and the mention of railguns, lasers and sci-fi tech would've pointed out that this isn't going to be teh sooper realistic and 'gritty'.
