"Oh yeah, sure. In fact, I have keys." *jangle jangle*

Damn that is nice weapon. So nice. So so nice.

You find the right key and unlock the health room door, slipping inside. It's dark inside, the lights out. You switch on the light switch, casting the room in swathes of hazy shadow and sharp illumination. You slide your spear behind your back onto the back pack straps and unzip the top of your bag, then rummage through the health room for medical supplies. "I have a bag that we can use to hold the medical supplies we find. Oh, and I've been holed up in the media center with Kate, Irene, and a few others. Me and Irene checked out the cafeteria and front office. There is food in the cafeteria, and plenty, but don't tell anyone since there isn't nearly enough to go around. What have you been up to?" You drop helpful things in your backpack as you find them, including antiseptic, bandages, medical tape, bandages, and random pills you find.

"Hey that bag looks like the one Irene had. Maybe even the one she said she dropped. Where'd you find it?" You ask curiously, wondering if you even want a bat at this point.

After resting for 15 minutes and ignoring the freshmen's questions, Irene finally gets up and makes her way to the gym storage.
Why did I not take armor earlier??
After surveying the items, she picks out hockey shin guards, lacrosse arm guards, a lacrosse helmet, and a baseball chest plate. Irene puts on all the equipment and straps the chestplate on her left armguard for a makeshift shield.
I'll need some duct tape to secure this fully...
Ready to head out, she walks over to the gym doors. Before heading out, she turns towards the class and says. "Just keep this up and you guys should be safe. Thanks for all the gear though."
Irene waves farewell and exits the doors, intending to find Matt.

You step in behind Matt and shut the door quietly. You grab assorted supplies as well and drop them into your backpack as the both of you scavenge the room. You notice Matt's method of storing his spear and make a note to figure out some sort of similar system to hold yours. Armor. You also need to fashion some sort of armor on yourself to protect from at least bites and scratches.

"Huh... Where you recommend holing up? I got the bag off a zombie near the Art room, Irene must've dropped it then. It'll be good to bring this bag for the others at least."

"I'm not sure, I guess we can keep moving and control the supplies with a reliable group of survivors to survive. And okay. The more weapons we have the better. "

You finish scavenging for supplies and lay down on a cot in the back of the room. It would actually make for one of the best places to sleep in the school, you realize. You disregard the armor and weapons and supplies you are laying on and just relax for a moment, shutting your eyes and resting. If trouble occurred, you'd hear it, and besides your brother was there too.

On her way to the health room, Irene encountered two wandering zombies. Breathing a sigh, she quickly dispatched both of them with a series of dodges and thrusts with her spear.
I swear, these things are as common as stinkbugs.
As she approached closer and closer to the health room however, there seemed to be a higher density of zombies. Spearing the closest one, she unintentionally attracted the attention of a good part of the horde. Retreating and attacking at the same time, Irene noticed a zombie leaping for her from behind. She whirled her shield around and smashed it against the zombie's face. The zombie got thrown back a bit, but Irene knew that she was still in danger of getting surrounded. Irene speared the zombie on the ground before it had a chance to get back up, flicked the blood off her spear, and turned her attention towards the advancing horde.
This is going to be difficult...

"Matt, get up, I can hear a alot of zombies in the hall, and I think someone's out there fighting them, we should try and help."

You crack open the door slightly and glance out, several zombies in view from the door, most likely more. You can hear stabs and smacks against zombies down towards the ninth grade hallway end too.

"Tch help me kill them so I can get some sleep then." Matt springs to his feet, switches on his flashlight, and picks up his spear. I need to get better at killing these things anyways." He pushes open the health room door and quit literally charges into combat, spearing the nearest zombie through the ear. He pulls the blade back out swiftly, mindful of getting his weapon caught. The zombie falls to the ground, but two more behind it turn and begin down the short and narrow hallway toward Matt. With a sharp downward swing, Matt lodges the blade deep into the skull of the closer zombie, then pulls the corpse sideways with a grunt, blocking the hallway as it falls. It's path impeded, the second zombie slows as it stumbles against its dead brethren. Matt jerks back the bloody blade and swings it once more, this time sideways. The zombie's swinging arm gets in the way of the blade, but his swing powers through and smashes into the zombie's head regardless, slamming it against the wall. Matt kicks the corpse away to free his weapon and steps forward to kill the next zombie, laughing as he did so. At this rate he was going to block the corridor with bodies. Matt's stab lodges in the zombie's neck, not quite killing it. Matt twists the blade free with a snarl, his hands slipping a bit on the bloody duct tape grip. He stabs forward again, this time striking true and spearing the zombie through both eye sockets. It falls toward him as he pulls the blade free. Matt leans backward in disgust to avoid the dead body. As he pushes the corpse away, another zombie had already navigated the pile of corpses and was making its way down the hallway. Too close to level the spear for a stab, Matt grips the spear near the head and slams the blades downward like and axe, neatly splitting open the head of the fourth zombie. He then pulls back past the health room door, panting slightly. "I killed four of them, not too bad, tag out Ben, you're up now."

Suddenly, part of the zombie horde turns their attention elsewhere. Following their line of sight, Irene glimpsed Matt in the fray. Filled with renewed determination, Irene retreated gradually and used the distraction to spear the three zombies still paying attention to her. Once those were dispatched, Irene stepped over the dead corpses, switched over to her bat, and silently rushed towards the zombies, getting a rush of euphoria in the meantime.
Assassinating is fun.
She was able to down two zombies with swift blows to the head before the horde shifted their attention on her again. Retreating quickly, Irene switched back over to her spear and gritted her teeth.
Why did you guys have to create a ruckus and attract all these zombies?!

[Ben]

You have no armor, and decide to take them out safely. You grab one of Matt's short knives for your left and and wield your spear in your right.

"Just let me back in later, gosh... such a inefficient style you have."

You step out into the main hallway before they got closer into the Health one, and swing at the first one's leg with the bladed side of your spear, cutting it's leg and dropping it forward towards you to stab it through the back of the neck. Plenty of room out here to work with them. You repeat this efficient process on the slightly spread out zombies, backing up to the Health room hallway when necessary and take out seven zombies in the process. You back out after the seventh, gloves coated in blood. You're only a small freshman with little physical endurance after all. You run back to the Health room.

"Matt, go, I didn't check who it was back there... darn it way too dark in that hall for a good look."

Noticing that the number of zombies has thinned out considerable due to someone else fighting them, you start attacking them again. You think that the person fighting them has changed due to the increased rate of zombies dying--the fighting style certainly feels different at least. You are determined to finish the remaining four zombies off and kill the two closest zombies to you with blows to the head using a bat. You then to proceed to spear the remaining two, dispatching all four zombies relatively cleanly. After killing so many zombies, you've gotten quite good at this. Now that the only thing occupying the hallway are dead zombie bodies, you make your way to the health room.

((Dang it Ben, Matt, now you have me using 2nd person point of view))

"Oh, shush, I'm just a little over exuberant right now." Matt walks forward and dispatches the remaining zombie with his knife alone, batting away the zombie's arms and thrusting forward to stab into the zombie's eye. "That was actually pretty easy. Man I kinda wanna kill more now. But, I did also wanna sleep. Ben, watch the door for me or something please, I'm taking a nap. Matt walks into the health room, taking back his knife along the way. He slings his bag into the corner and lays down on a cot, a knife in each hand and the spear within easy reach.

Exhausted, you unlock the health room door and are greeted by the sight of Ben and Matt. Not even bothering to talk to them, you wander over to an empty bed and promptly fall asleep on it.

"Let's get going then, I sure as heck hope that the shop is still safe to get stuff from."
Travis grabs the other 2x4 near Adam and glances toward the front door wondering if the zombies broke though the windows in the lobby.
Wait, was that something moving by the Health room?
"Adam, is something moving over by the Health room, or am I seeing things?"

"The shop is right up ahead, watch my back while I try to pick the lock."
Travis tries to ignore the corpse and focuses on the lock with his pliers.
Well, It didn't look like his head was intact, so he might not zombify...
The lock disengages and opens into the shop
"That's the shop open, now the locks on the Tool Closet are the only thing between us and decent weapons are the 2 locks on the door to the Tool Closet."

You dump your blood-soaked left hand glove, in the proper disposal bin, but keep the right hand one, which was only slightly soiled, and clean off your spear with the surplus of paper towels available in the room. You work on organizing your supplies, moving water and food items to separate compartments in your backpack, as well as medical related items together in another. Then, you improve your backpack's water bottle compartment's height to accommodate your baseball bat at the right side. Easy to reach, convenient, and secure. You test it out, experimentally swinging it with your left hand in one smooth movement once you draw it across your body. Slightly awkward, but effective nonetheless. Matt and Irene seem pretty worn out from the look of them. Your phone still has no signal. Crummy iPhone 3GS. You're not surprised in the slightest at the fact. The charging case you use with it was completely drained for charging devices, but it still had a small light with some leftover power remaining in the case for an emergency at least.

You refocus on your main weapon and think of improvements. Possible a blade on the end that was suppose to hit the puck. It worked rather effectively slashing the leg with the bladed end, and then cutting at the neck or head. A blade on both ends would allow you to swipe the leg, and then spin the stick to finish them with a downward slash of the hook shaped end. You sound so cheesy.

Travis picks the locks after a few minutes of frustration
"Got it, now we can start getting gear together."
Travis grabs a saw blade and a cuts the 2x4 down to a more manageable length and uses a power drill with a half dead battery and attaches the blade to the wood.
He also takes a hammer and grabs a cart from an old show and starts to fill it with wood, tools, and other materials
