Are you one of the pair of strangers mentioned in midget's last post involving the guild master talking to them?

My apologies Dean is a very masculine name, and at the time I was in a bit of a rush, therefore not paying attention, Fixed.

Just want to mention just in case, but I just sent you guys (lordmidget and dirkinz) a PM.

Edit:
Caits said Sasha yelled after the guy, not recognising him from the guild.

I should have mentioned it more, but Wes actually isn't part of a guild yet. I'm trying to have him join Phoenix Wing after the Valford's Plea
when he realizes that guilds isn't a fancy name for a bar/restaurant for mages, but actually is a place where mages can find jobs and earn money, meaning that Wes doesn't have to scavenge for things or doing simple odd jobs.

Assuming this Rp is still open (which the OP says it is) I present to you an application of sorts.

Name:

Rilr Hearthfire

Age:

25

Magic

Quantum Magic*

Magic Level:

Due to Rilr being a wanderer rather than a guild member it's rather difficult for him to judge how strong he truly is. From his travels however he estimates he is around a B-rank wizard.

History:

What’s the point of magic if you can’t use it? This was a question Rilr had asked himself since he first learnt about the magical arts on this fourth birthday. His family were somewhat hesitant when it came to such things and thus his first encounter of magic was when he found an old book in his grandfather’s house. His grandfather – on Rilr’s mother’s side – was someone who Rilr knew very little about. He rarely got to visit his grandparents due to them living so far away and that day was only the second time. The first being when he was only a year old.

What this book contained was nothing extraordinary but still since Rilr knew nothing of magic due to his parent’s never using it found it to be an abundant source of knowledge. Form this book he learned things he could never of dreamed to be true. There were tales of people who could achieve seemingly inhuman feats thanks to magic: from engulfing themselves in flames and remaining unharmed to being able to create things just from simple sketches. The possibilities were endless and Rilr wanted to pursue as many of them as he could.

Those dreams led him on. Magic wasn't entirely stable and his parent’s warned him of that but still Rilr pursued his dreams. Quantum magic was especially unstable since you could never truly know if what you changed would stay like that for long enough. It was like a constant time bomb without a visible countdown – it could go off at any second. Through years of training (approximately 13 considering it took Rilr two years to even be able to start using basic magic) he was ready to being his own journey. Surprisingly little went wrong during his training the only casualties were of a few dozen rats in his neighbour’s basement and a cat. At this time he was nowhere near a master of his magic – he wasn’t even sure whether he could class as a D-rank wizard or not – but still he decided it was time to move on.

The next years of Rilr’s life weren't easy. He’d heard of various artefacts which contained traces of an ancient civilisation. What was in most of them was unknown since only two or three had been discovered and even those weren't within the reach of the public. So rather than join a guild like most wizards Rilr began his search alone. Sure along the way he had picked up a few companions but they always parted ways before anything dangerous happened. Dangerous of course often meant delving into various ruins and to this very day nothing extraordinary was found inside of them. A few talismans at most but still Rilr never faltered.

Then, there is the present. So what is the point of magic if you can’t use it? Rilr had asked himself that and he never really did find the answer. Maybe he’d only asked himself that question because he’d assumed everyone in his village simply couldn't use it since they never did. The question now only wavers in Rilrs memory from time to time but otherwise it is all but forgotten.

Personality: Rilr is often a cynical character and doesn't really understand that he shouldn't constantly speak his mind. Obviously he is an adventurer at heart - why else would he go jumping into those ancient ruins - but he also likes to consider himself as someone who stays out of the spotlight. As a person he tends to be a love him or hate him kind of guy since if you don't like him telling you what he thinks then you probably shouldn't be hanging around with him. On the other hand if you're okay with that sort of thing the chances are you'll get on swimmingly.

Team Members:

None that are permanent. He may temporarily work others but he never gets himself into any sort of permanent partnership.

Three Strengths:

1. He has a keen eye for detail which can make him a great companion for places where there may be traps or puzzles to take care of.
2. He's pretty darn lucky. If you can call that a strength at least. He always seems to land on his feet as it were. Also helps if he ends up gambling.
3.He knows a surprising amount of useless facts. It may not be very helpful but they are great at dinner parties.

Three Weaknesses:

1. Compulsive gambling. It's probably a side effect of his good luck but whenever someone offers to play him at cards - for money or not - he simply can't refuse.
2.His magic isn't very combat oriented unfortunately which does make people question why he adventures alone so often.
3. He gets headaches more often than he should. It doesn't happen too often and it isn't nearly as bad as a migraine. It still doesn't help his concentration in a battle though.

Greatest Love:

If you can call delving into ruins in search of ancient artefacts a great love I guess it's that.

Motivation:

Rilr doesn't really have a motivation to find the relics. He just decided to do it and will do until he finds something more worth his time.

Appearance:

Standing at approximately 6'2" Rilr's build can be described as lean so he certainly isn't the strongest of wizards. Face wise he got the standard package, his eyes are sea-foam green in colour and his skin tone is pale. His hair is cut somewhat long but it isn't over the top. If he were to where a collared shirt it would stop around the top of the collar and it is dark blonde it colour. It has been known to be lighter though. In terms of clothing he tends to just wear simple travelling clothing nothing too fancy.
Additional Details:

* = Quantum magic is the manipulation of the world around you. While nothing permanent can come of this magic it does make quite the useful utility due to the magic focusing on manipulating matter among other things such as gravity. In it's most basic form things such moving a wall to reveal a hidden path can be accomplished. The more skilled you are the greater the changes you can make. The greatest downfall of this ability is that it can't actually manipulate magic or people meaning you would need something around you already in order to counter-act another wizard. You could consider Quantum magic to be one of the most basic magic's since there are various other forms which split off into more refined paths - a fine example being gravity magic - but due to it's wide spectrum of abilities a quantum magician can never truly be powerful in any one of these paths as they are essentially a jack-of-all trades.

Name:
Grundes “The Elephant” Tyr

Age:
20

Magic:
Horror Magic
A twisted offshoot magic that has roots in Illusion Magic (and possibly Copy Magic as well). Horror Magic creates an image that reflects the victim’s fears. These illusions are in truth harmless, and are easily overcome if the victim has a semi-strong will. The results of Horror Magic vary from person to person, but it commonly disables people temporarily, with no lasting effects. However, there have been a very few cases in which Horror Magic causes permanent trauma. Horror Magic is very similar to Illusion magic in the respect that the caster is able to determine who sees and hears the magic. Unlike illusion magic, however, Horror Magic has a terribly small range, as it relies on a person’s fears.

Memory-Make
Most of those who use Memory-Make use it for useful things. Grundes is so inexperienced in Memory-Make that the best he can do is remember nearly everything that happens to him, which along with his size, earned him the nickname Elephant.

Magic Level:
Grundes does not belong to a guild, but he is most likely a high C or low B, as he does not hone his abilities to his best.

History:
Grundes Darkwater was born to House Darkwater, but he forged his own path in life. He was supposed to become a master of Memory-Make, but he preferred Horror Magic. He was subject to frequent temperament, and of course he was eventually exiled. But his story is not one of attempted redemption, nor is it one of vengeance. The story of Grundes is one of acceptance. He did not like practicing magic, it led to punishment. To be free from the cruel shackles that bound him to magic was a joy without expression. And the fact that he had already started to learn Memory-Make did no good to help him repress those memories. The fact that he had only learned to remember, and not forget, was one that Grundes regretted. It led to the creation of a man that is much angrier than he should be, a man who wields the sword instead of magic, due to his unending resentment towards it. And it also resulted in a request being sent to the guilds of Fiore to find him.

Personality:
Grundes is almost always serious, and harbors a deep distrust for those who wield magic. Remembering nearly everything that has gone wrong in his life has also made him an emotional rock. Despite his serious demeanor, and his lack of a sense of humor, he does appreciate the occasional anti-joke, and dark humor.

Team Members:
Ryte, the Six Foot Long Cold Steel Sword

Three Strengths:
1. Good at swordplay, though this might not matter much against casters.
2. Towers over almost everyone, making him quite intimidating. People are more inclined to listen to him out of combat because of this.
3. Does not rely on his magic, so it’s harder to interrupt his attacks.

Three Weaknesses:
1. Does not use magic often at all, so when he does his casting is slow, tedious, and inefficient.
2. Has a fear of lightning, due to memories of temperament.
3. Grundes’s size makes him slow, and he cannot chase quick opponents or easily navigate within buildings because of this.

Greatest Love:
Ryte, the Six Foot Long Cold Steel Sword that he calls his only companion.

Motivation:
Grundes’s only real motivation is to find a place untouched by the “filth” of magic. Though he only wishes to learn of this place, because if he were to enter it, he would bring with him the same filth he despises.

Appearance:

Additional Details:
Grundes stands at an inhumanely 9 feet and 11 inches tall, with the body to match. He speculates that this may be a side-effect of his former obsession with Horror Magic and this warped him into a “monster” of sorts. Despite being well-read, he believes this whole-heartedly, despite the absurdity of the claim.

Um, Jangel. Your most recent post IC seems to be pretty OP.

Your speed tripled and your power doubled, and you essentially destroyed everything, which I find to be absurd. I guess it's possible to justify the literal one-hitting of the regular skeletons in the crypt before they actually did anything, but to be able to kill around you (Including the Skeleton Beast/Giant Skeleton and a Wight, in which all three are meant to be quite more resilient than regular minions) without giving anything a chance to react seems to be pretty unfair.

Also, perhaps it's not important, but nobody on the opposing side has actually been injured, or even touched. It makes it a lot less interesting when a battle is one-sided like that, but then again, that may just be me.
