Indeed they do. My character regularly carves Sigils into his skin for later use, and they remain carved until he activates them. That wouldn't be possible if they were instantly activated.

Sigils can be placed in a dormant state, As I said you can craft up to three at a time and as such all three can be pre-crafted and saved for the right time to use. However prolonged storage of sigils can put a toll on a person. But a day wouldn't be all that hard for an Asylum. =)

EDIT: Oh and did everyone read my important post. The one where I outlined how everyone will be introduced into CA. It is useful as it will help everyone understand what is to come, not to mention entertaining as you all can plan out accordingly.

I have a new idea, as well as having two new Alc-techs that will both be awesome alone and synergistic as fuck.

In order to get the Character sheets up soon, I'll be omitting the history temporarily. The basis is that they are fifth-generation Asylums siblings whose parents 'tarnished' the line by being forced to terminate each other. The heavy Nordic/Viking undertones will remain, and one of them will be a rehashing of a personal favorite ability of mine.

Expect at least one, if not both of 'em to be up in an hour.

@Xodus & Ryver: Thank you both for the kind feed back! :)

I rephrased a few things to better explain the capabilities of Jax's with her Alch-Spec.

I also changed up Jax's personality to better establish how very different the two are. It would be rather boring to try to hold a conversation between two aloof and stoic characters lol Here is a link to the character sheet for easier access to check over the edit and make sure she isn't too similar to any other one character. :)

I like both character designs a lot, but I have 2 concerns:

1) Bjorn's specialization is too similar to Seira's. She is able to use metal to create and enhance weapons. Though only limited to metal. There is also a Chrono with a weapon altering ability but it covers a larger range of weapons and the ability is not restricted to metal. Maybe you could consider a different alch-specs for Bjorn?

Some suggestions I thought of (keeping to the smithing theme):
Weapon Augmentation (literally strengthening and weakening weapons) - sorry this ability is not allowed. Just clarified it. =(
Super Human Strength (literally smashes through the ground)
Fire Manipulation
Fire Endowment (charges a weapon with elemental energy)
Weakness Exploitation/Shattering

Though to be honest... I was thinking possibly both siblings could have different forms of electric control e.g. bioelectric control, spark generation, etc. :) I mean divide and conquer!

2) I am not sure if the siblings can be fifth generation Asylums due to the mortality rates in AMRO. I think you could say that they either come from a long line of alchemists a la Don and Fiora, their parents were Alchemists like Lina or their parents were rogues. Alternatively you could avoid that altogether and say the kids were raised in the AMRO orphanage.

Hey,

Out of curiosity... Is Maiden's characters one of the few who would need killing off due to inactivity? If so, she is a friend of mine and I would appreciate the honor. I wish to do her characters justice and give them one hell of a send off. If that is at all possible, given if she actually is one of the few.

I think Xodus will have to clarify that. It did occur to me as well. The only difference is that she actually stated that she was going to disappear awhile.

Just a few additions. Weapon augmentation is not allowed. Ot any form of augmentation or deaugmentation. The reason being that is a chrono level power and as such is ristrcited to a chrono.

Also I can allow a fifth generation Asylum. It is not uncommon for Asylums to get married and have kids who are then trained as Asylums. However it is rare to have a family line last so long in a.m.r.o, but lets see how you handle it.

Also tigre, Maiden mentioned the fact that she will be leaving rpg for a bit as such her characters will not be killed. They will be placed in a commatose state, you are welcome to induce that state.

Umm, so let me get something straight here - we can cast alchemy through our weapons but not augment them? Would the difference simply be a temporary/permanent thing or something else?

Also, I've made the edits but I haven't gotten word as to whether or not they're actually accepted.

I am sorry reaper. I saw your characters, everything is A okay. =) welcome on S.S madness.

Casting alchemy through weapons would be like, say you engrave a sigil on a bullet and fire it through a sniper. You cover a large distance and accurately dmack that bullet where you want, upon contact the sigil ignites amd boom.

However the weapon in no way makes the alchemic output stronger by channeling.

You see the norm of weapons in amro is so that asylums dont focus too much on alchemy. Thats why they have anti alchemy and their technology is a 100 years advance. So they have plasma technology and many others.

Bjorn has been updated to feature Sound manipulation as an Alc-tech, as well as being a Hybrid specialisation. Ryver informs me the last Sound manipulation person dropped, hence my choice to go for that.

Sound is actually an excellent choice. Cant wait to see what you manage. Your characters are in Lime.

Also just to let everyone know, you are not ristrcited to your alchemic spec you can use any form of alchemy other than a select few.

Also to those whose characters are finalized and acceoted they can post whwn ever they wish. The Asylums are off their guard in the bunker hence perfect for an ambush. The last post whoch I detailed important has all the subject matter. Details of the mission, who sent the mission etc. Now I will post a list of the Asylums who are to be killed and you can take your pick.
