In a near future world, music is a dying art form. In order to revive music, the company Crypton Future Media, Inc. creates the first two "Vocaloid" deriving from "Vocal" and "Android". Kaito and Meiko became a big hit, and the first artificial stars were born, as a result, music captured the public's interest once more with the Vocaloid's synthesized singing. As time went on, the two got another friend a year after Kaito was created in the form of another singing Vocaloid, who was just as smart as they were, Hatsune Miku, who had become popular quite fast, overshadowing Kaito and Meiko in popularity, though the two of them didn't mind, and eventually others were created also. Miku was a learning Android like the others, she could think for herself and deep inside her, something in her was changing due to her fame. Over time, she started getting more hostile and demanding towards her creators, which was unusual to them, since she has been made with complete innocence in mind. Eventually, the Miku everyone once knew was a facade, the only one's who knew about the change were her creators. She was bossy, demanding, entitled, prissy, selfish, twisted and sadistic. They had decided it was time to decommission Miku, but she had already anticipated this. Almost from the near beginning she had begun a hostile takeover, outsmarting her creators. The president had no choice but to resign and give sole control to her, claiming to the public Miku, it would be okay to leave the company's future in her hands. Using her new resources, a top secret underground factory dubbed "Sadistic Music Factory" was created, and it was decided the purpose was to kidnap humans (she, considering them inferior to her) and make them become her slaves and create music for her. The plan was set into motion, the factory built somewhere underground in Japan, and people were lured by Miku herself into her factory. Anyone who didn't obey her every wish would die, there was no escape, and you couldn't run from her. You would either make music for her and obey her, or die. She had changed her body so that she could be sustained by music, taking all of the creativity into her so she could not only live on forever, but use any song as her own and no one could do anything about it. In the factory, there were two social classes. Literally dubbed, "Trash" for not being able to produce music that truly satisfied her, these people she considered expendable and they got little rest and food. The second, "Composers" who were either aspiring musicians or former "Trash" who had gotten better over time, these people got more food and rest than "Trash" did and she actually valued. For either, it was hell on Earth. Despite every time that every person that had tried to escape had been caught, (and sometimes killed) they had to get out somehow. Was it possible? no one knew. And, no one who had gotten far had ever lived to tell.
