The world was fast hurling her towards the ground, but as she waited for the cold bite of pain from hitting the floor, it never came. Instead there was a smell of brimstone and the feel of something warm, soft and yet lean. This warmth held in an odd way. It almost felt like something living. But that wasn't possible. Was it? She couldn't remember what it felt like to be held. Sure she had been gripping onto a crazed naked girl just a little bit before, but she hadn't been concerned with that. Well, that and it had hurt a lot, proof being in her roughened up clothes.

Slowly, she opened her eyes and their watercolor blues and silvers locked with something that looked like the darkness of the night sky. The night sky had saved her? But it didn't have arms, or legs, or a mouth. Her confused, tired gazed was fixed on that mouth. It looked human-like and even made sound. Her arm reached up, fingers grazing over the rich darkness that was close to that mouth. Soft, very soft. Warm too. That's when her eyes found eyes. Eyes. Night didn't have eyes. A figure flashed in her mind and the colors on her skin turned to shades and tints of pinks and reds. Warm colors, like blushing.

This wasn't the Night Sky. This was something all too real! Her eyes widened and she hastily sat up, but the world swarm again, an annoying ache in her head slamming against her skull, reminding her not to move so quickly. Her hair shimmered like weakened stars, cascading over her shoulders. Embarrassed, pink. She wasn't wearing her usual blackout clothing. Scared, greenish blue. He was looking right at her! Worry, a kind of purple. Was he going to recoil in disgust or in anger? Wait. How had he ended up under her? Hadn't he been over there? Glancing up, she realized he must of done that 'bamf'y teleporting thing, the one where it smelt like brimstone. He had done that before too. So... he had meant to catch her. Her blushing colors took completely over, swirling over her skin and even melting into the silvers of her hair and eyes. And she was still on top of him. Slowly she untangled herself form him, a bit disappointed when the warmth was gone. He really was just like the night sky...

"I'm...sorry," she tried to smile, her eyes slipping down to focus more on her leadened limbs, "I-I guess I forgot to save up energy to get through the day. I hope you're not hurt." Her eyes glanced back up at him. Everything was moving in real time now, like before it had all just slowed down. In truth she probably looked a bit silly, having touched his cheek like that, laying over him like a dazed idiot with her head on his stomach.

Steve watched as the once rainbow-colored girl slowly stand up and stumble around, before her stumble became a tumble. Steve was about ready to catch her when Magnus beat him to it. So he withdrew the blood pool that was surrounding the two that no one noticed (Seriously. No one notices that. Got it? Stealth mode...) and pulled it back into his ankle, never breaking his consumption of Pebbles. But his serenity was soon broken as the bug-man made his way over to his table. Starting to panic a bit, Steve kept a calmness and waited for him to pass by, like everyone always did. But he didn't. The man sat down and the two just kinda awkwardly sat there for a while.

"2000 Pound penguin for your thoughts" the man asked. Steve silently "Eeped" and tried his best to calm down. 'It's okay. Remember your exercises... and... and... oh, god... I forgot!'. Trying to get his mouth to work, Steve slowly sank toward the table "Uh... er.. um... I... uh... P-p-penguins d-d-d-d-don't weigh... ... ...two... ... two thousand... uh... p-pounds..."...

She was disappointing when he caught her, she had shifted so much so subtly that he didn't realize how plain she had become. The vibrant colors washed away to hints and shimmers as she was pastel and pale. Then again she had just fainted, not slept, there was a difference he had to remind himself as he was quite content to cradle her. When she reached up to touch him, he leaned into it, not afraid of her powers no matter what they might be. Even if she evaporated the water in his skin like the bottle's splashing, it would be worth it and nothing that wouldn't heal.

Her colors returned, pinks and purples and greens and all in between for a moment, there she was. His disappointment returned when she got herself off from him, even she would recoil from him? His disappointment turned to confusion as she spoke before clarifying.

"I'm...sorry, I-I guess I forgot to save up energy to get through the day. I hope you're not hurt."

"Not a problem, Prism. Not everyday a girl literally falls into my lap. You need medical attention? Insulin? Glucose? Or just the devil himself to put you to bed?"

Jax could see the kid was shocked that someone had noticed him, let alone sat down and talked to him. He was tripping over his words, stammering and tripping up over his words, but managed to get out: "Uh... er.. um... I... uh... P-p-penguins d-d-d-d-don't weigh... ... ...two... ... two thousand... uh... p-pounds.."

It took a while to say, but at least he persisted, Jax thought. "Have you ever weighed a penguin? Anyway, I couldn't think of a better ice breaker. Names Jax, Jax Smith."

With that Jax extended a hand to the other lad, trying to tune out the wanna-be Romeo with his sparkly lady. "So, what can you do that got you landed here?"

Thinking back something was a bit out of place just before blue boy poofed to save the aforementioned sparkly lady, but after a moment or two he shook his head, waiting for the other lad to shake his hand, but after he almost jumped out of his skin when Jax sat down and spoke - a unlikely thing - he gave it a few moments before retracting his hand.

"Well, if you have bottled solar energy filtered through millions of lightyears, I'd love some," she gave him a tilted and almost quirky smile, "But for now I think food and sleep is all I can get till the sun goes down." She put her hand on her head, wincing at the subtle pounding she got from so much excitement. But it wasn't like she just stop her heart from hammering. Seeming to realize something she opened eyes and looked back at him with a sheepish smile. "Ah, you're Magnus, not the nightsky. Er, I mean, I'm A-Asha," she tried reminding him, but seemed to be falling all over her words, "I was more..." she gestures to her body as if searching for the words, "dressed. In black? Black out cloth actually." Tilting her head to the side, she wondered if that was the right way to put it. It had been a seriously long time since she had so much interaction with people her age, much less boys. Boys that couldn't turn it off. Boys that were like her and staring at her right now as she tired to explain that they had met before.

"Oh, maybe this will help," she leaned in close to him so he would be looking right into her eyes. It made her shimmer all kinds of shy colors, but she tried to focus on how she had felt seeing someone who couldn't turn their powers off for the first time. She concentrated all of that feeling to shine through her eyes. It gave her a slamming headache, but her eyes were soon glowing and glittering all kinds of excited golden colors, mixing with a rainbow of starry galaxy formations. She wasn't able to hold it for long though. Pain over took all that. Wincing she knew she had paled a bit more, the only colors she could keep were light cool shades now. And she had a major headache. And she felt like she had just run a marathon.

"Ooo don't think I can do that again," she breathed, more to herself than anyone else, "I really need to eat. Or sleep. Or both."

"Sorry, fresh out, we had a starlight buffet last week. Fine, lets get you to bed"
Magnus reached out to hold her as he slowly stood up and try to take her with him. He understood she would be woozy and was prepared to scoop her up off the ground if she fell again. What he wasn't prepared for was what she said and revealed next about their previous meeting.
'I've been called a lot of things, but never the night sky. As-salamu alaykum, Asha"

Next thing he knew she was close, incredibly close, showing her her heaven of hues to him through her eyes. He could smell her now, the tinge of sweat long since evaporated, her breath as she spoke. He had to admit his black washed eyes were made for the dark so her shining a flashlight right into his orbs hurt like hell. He winced but didn't look away, letting her see herself in the wet reflection of his glassy gaze.

"You showed me yours, I'll show you mine."

He kept a hold of her if she would let him and in a moment *BAMF* they might be gone. If she stayed with him, their combined weight would have them all the way to the hallway entrance of the womens ward, if she slipped from his grasp, he wold leave her in the kitchen as he arrived in a separate womans room rather unannounced. the dimensional slip is highly disorienting, its a combination of sudden weightlessness and great force as one free-falls through a dimensional tear for a heartbeat. The slip is not pleasant for most the first time, aside from the rip it is also the source of sulfur scent he and his father are known for. the sound made comes from the displaced vacuum needed to push away all but the heaviest objects from reentry. All in all an assault on the senses that he and his kind are known for assaulting others with by rapid teleportations to make others loose all sense of surroundings followed by collapse.

Steve recoiled slightly from the man's (now known as Jax) outstretched hand. 'Just. Shake... His FUCKING HAND' he shouted in his head, but his body wouldn't respond. He was too shocked that someone had noticed him and was actively trying to pursue a conversation. After a few moments, however, Jax withdrew his hand and instead asked him a question. Why he was here. In other words... what his powers were. Completely on instinct, Steve turned a deep crimson as his blood shot almost to the surface. Quickly Steve realized what was happening and he forced his blood back to normal... well, actually he over shot it, and his skin turned pale. But that led to a stroke of genius. And Steve instead altered his pigment. 'Your name... give him your goddamn NAME!' he mentally shouted again, oddly causing him to cringe in slight fear "I-I'm Shu.... er... Steve... Just, um... Just Steve. And I c-c-can ch-change color" he said, before the stutter just stopped "That's it. That's all. Nothing else. Nothing gross. Nothing brutal.... And... nothing useful" he fired out, before his color started changing to match the background.

The guy seemed scared out of his wits as Jax tried to talk to him. It seemed to Jax that this kid was scared out of his wits just by someone saying 'hi' to him, at one point he just paled, almost as if the kid was going to throw up, but this passed. Eventually the kid introduced himself as 'Just Steve' around all the stammering. Progress Jax thought - Steve didn't shake his hand, but that was only to be expected due to the kids shy nature.

A few more moments passed where Steve stammered out about what powers he had, plus his thoughts on them. "Changing colour? Thats quite cool - you could be a spy; blending into the background and all sorts - just because its not offensive, doesnt mean its not a useful power!" It was hard to tell if Steve was telling the truth or not so Jax moved onto another topic, but related:

"How long have you been here?"

Plasma traveled down the hallway one step at a time as she felt a little dizzy all of a suddenly. She swayed from the left then to the right before finding herself against the wall. She thought to herself and asked herself why she found it hard to walk straight but her answers were met with the voice of the intruder. She soon shook her head hoping to end the voice but it did nothing more than make the voice speak more so. She soon tried a few steps more but she was swaying some more making her look like a drunk to all who saw her. Luckily she was in the basement so hardly anyone was down here.

Dark Voice: “What’s wrong, cat got your tongue? Does my presence scare you?”

Rebecca did not answer back as she kept moving and at one point fall over before getting back up. Whatever the intruder was doing it was making her look foolish, this was just a way for the intruder to get used to their new home.

Dark Voice: “I think we should play with some minds, now go this way.”

Suddenly Plasma found herself entering the danger room which was being used and as the doors opened the simulation came to an end as she fell sideways in. The being in her was really getting on her nerves. Clearly they were playing games with her as she soon slowly got to her knees and looked up to see X-23 and Darkshadow. Her eyes just looked at the two and she did not blink until her body forced it to.

Dark Voice: “I wonder which one I should use or play with. There is the dark one, she would be fun but then there is the angry one with the claws who looked like she could entertain him and cause some problems with the X-Men, Mahahahahaha”

The dark figure would slowly make Plasma get up though at this point Rebecca felt it was of her own free will. She soon took a step back but this time she was not swaying all over the place.

Plasma: “Ooooopppppppps. Don’t mind me I kind of fell in here after opening the doors.......”

She felt quite embarrassed as she said that but what followed next surprised her and anyone else. The lights in the danger room went out and the back-up would start soon. The power also went out throughout the building leaving everyone in the dark for a moment. This moment was a good chance for some fun as under the darkness something happened in a blink of an eye if one could see in the dark. The back-up was soon on but the lights were not on full and at that sometimes the lights would flicker.

Plasma: “What was that?”

(Aya) (or at least a wrap-up)

Eventually Aya got around to seeing the Professor. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do to "fix" her (although he insisted she was not broken, she had a hard time believing it. But that's just how she felt). He was able to assist her new selves in getting arranged, difficult as that was. But as unstable as she was, Aya made the toughest choice of her life... Taking herself off of Active Duty. Permanently. The Prof., however, told her there would always be a spot for her on the team, should she ever feel ready and in control enough to return...

(Leon)

"Mmmmm, Aisha..., you're such a naughty kitty" Leon mumbled into his pillow, a puddle of drool forming under his cheek, when suddenly his eyes shot open and he bolted up in bed. "SHIT! I'M LATE!" he cried, leaping out of bed and into the bathroom for a quick 10-minute shower (and being covered in fur makes it a hell of a lot harder than it sounds). Running back into his room wrapped in a towel desperately trying to dry off, he quickly slipped on some boxers and black kung-fu pants (anyone know what those are called?). "Fuck it! I'm dry enough!" he yelled, throwing his door open and bounding down the halls, leaping of the walls to take the corners on his way the kitchen. After all, it wasn't good to train on an empty stomach. Bobbing and weaving throughout the zombie-like students, he made a quick little turn and bounced off a corner... to crash hands-first into a sleepy red-head (I'm sure you can guess exactly where those hands are too)...

(Steve)

Jax tried to make Steve feel better, but at the mention of "offensive" he couldn't help it, his eyes turned blood red and there was a startlingly aggressive look in them 'Sisisisisisisisisi... Oh, if only he knew just how... offensive my little tentacles could be' he thought darkly. Luckily his head was down, and his bangs were shadowing his eyes, so Jax didn't notice. Trying to relax, Steve reverted back to normal. "H-how long? U-um... A-a-a-about t-two y-y-years. T-two years of b-being invi-v-visible" he muttered, holding his book (which even Steve didn't realize he'd picked up) closer to his chest. 'Now ask about him. Do it. Do it now you wimpy little fuck'. "U-um... w-w-what about... y-you?"...

Laura grinned, watching Sarah make a move to attack her. She really wasn't lying about the bravery. Her heartbeat had barely fluttered while she was lying, that was impressive. Her little plan to fire a shot was more impressive still, X almost had a mind to let her pull it off and fake some dramatic death scene - she'd seen one in a movie she could probably imitate well enough. Not that she needed a movie to draw inspiration for death.

Laura shifted to the side, her muscles tensing with apprehension as she stretched her fingers. She didn't want to hurt the girl, but she wouldn't have time to draw - she felt it might be an insult to Sarah's honor if she didn't at least let her attempt it. Besides...she kind of wanted to see how fast the girl could move. More information.

The simulation came crashing to a halt, tearing her from the simulation with a soft sigh of 'release'. Truthfully, she'd rather have been shot than have it end like that. "Plasma? Are yo--"

The world went dark. Not just because of the lights. Everything was black. Everything was gone.

Everyone had better run.

Plasma watched as she noticed something was not quite right. But before she could react the back up generator also failed and now everything was pitch black. Everything on this property was dark or not working. Plasma could barely see making her wonder what the hell was happening. She could feel something was wrong, it was more instinct than anything.else and she was not 100% sure if there was something wrong.

Plasma: "I think I will be leaving now."

Like the wind she dashed using what vision she had and lucky she had not bumped into anything though she did shout for the Professor. After a moment of wandering around in the dark she was back in the lab not sure what was going on. Why did the back up fail? They were probably going to find out and they were probably not going to like it. Worse off something else was about to go off putting everyone in danger.

Plasma: "Professor, Professor what is going on?"

The Professor was still in the lower levels and he had not moved yet so he heard her call. He did not know what was going on but for the back us to fail something bad must be happening.

Professor X: "Plasma lets go up to the upper levels, but first I need to contact someone."

Just like that he was connected with someone else.

Professor X: "Beast can you hear me, the power is out and I need you to come get me down in the lower levels, I am in the med bay at the moment. Something is afoot, on the way down check the back up generator."

Just like that he stopped and was focusing on Plasma once more, though he felt the mind of another presence. His eyes looked round but he saw no one but someone was here, someone who did not belong.

Physics was a fickle bitch and, abruptly, Sarah was falling. While upon a sailing ship one grew accustomed to the steady rhythm and soon forgot that they were rapidly rising and falling by as much as ten feet. The ship rolled from crest to trough, up the side of one wave and then down the other. Thus, at any given moment Sarah and Laura were anywhere between standing just a few inches about the floor and several feet above it. When the Danger Room was deactivated without warning that left them standing in mid-air.

Laura landed, as she always did, like a cat. Sarah, thanks to the training, at least landed on her feet even if the landing looked totally awkward. She was, however, going to pretend she didn't hear herself squeal like a little girl.

For some reason the safeties had been disengaged. Sarah wasn't sure why. Normally Danger Room sessions didn't just end they scaled down over several long moments letting the environment adjust. Hills slowly shrank. Buildings sunk into nothingness but allowed those within to walk down the staircases before dissolving. That was to help prevent injuries like what Laura and Sarah had narrowly avoided. Sarah realized she could have broken a leg or worse had she hit wrong. The last thing she wanted was to dislocate a hip. She didn't heal like Laura did.

"What the fu-" Sarah began and then the lights went out, replaced by independent battery powered recessed track lighting. The lighting was dim, meant to persevere for some time before going out. The idea was conserve power, to last days if necessary, until main power was restored. Sarah kicked in her dark vision and her eyes were cloaked in black. Iris and sclera both were a solid glossy ebony. She was uncomfortable with all the darkness and shadows, one of her most dearly held secrets, and with her eyes sheathed in black her vision pierced every shadow, every dark nook and corner of the empty room. Admittedly it was all in grayscale but it was better than nothing.

"What the hell is that all about?"

Slowly the blonde rose up from her crouch and pressed a hand against her breastbone, feeling her heart hammering. Suddenly being dropped and then ensconced in darkness had triggered a really sweet adrenalin rush. Straightening from the crouch she was in she began to remedy her appearance. Her golden locks were in her face and one of her breasts had slipped free of the skimpy costume again during the sudden fall and with a sigh she began to set it right. Stupid costume. Her sorceress character wasn't supposed to be running around doing athletic things and the costume simply wasn't designed for it.

While making herself presentable, she heard Laura call out Bekka's name.

John
After waking from the nightmare he had the horror of watching, John had taken to studying one of his text books, flipping on one of the table lights that adorned his desk and began to read.

For a few hours John was heavily involved in his reading, not even noticing the light coming through his window, the first signs of a new day at the mansion. Soon after the first rays of light entered his room it happened. The lights went off, which cause the earth mover to blink and put his book down, his hand reaching for the on off switch of the lamp that had died, flicking the switch on and off a few times before the back up kicked in. Shrugging John once more delved into the pages of his book, swatting up for a test that was coming up - but this didnt last long as the lights cut again, and stayed cut; the back up had been cut off and the mansion being plunged in to a half darkness, with only areas of the mansion in light, those with windows.

Leaving the book on his desk with the covers facing the ceiling so that he wouldnt lose his place he got dressed and started to move out and away from the dorms that housed the mail members of the active teams and headed towards the communal area of the mansion to try and rally the younger students to keep them calm while this issue is being resolved, hoping to run in to some of the other more experienced Xmen to help him in this endevour.

Jax
Jax was still in the kitchen with Steve, who had turned the conversation back on Jax merely asking 'And what about you?'. "Well in a nut shell I see well and fly." to enforce the point Jax spread his four wings out, letting them flutter before folding them against his back, "As for how long I have been here, perhaps a few hours at most?" It was more a question as Jax didnt have a watch or know what time it was when he flew through the window and had his fight with the clawed assassin.

That was when the kitchen was plunged into darkness for a moment before coming back into life. "What happened there?" he mused aloud as the lights came back on, this was not to last as the lights cut again, which didnt impact on Jax has his eyes had no real issue with the dark.

"Urm, youve been here a while - whats the procedures for a power cut? Its okay Steve, I can still see if we need to move from here." While Jax was starting to worry on the inside, he made sure to appear calm and sturdy on the outside as this Steve seemed the sort to be very nervous and that a situation like this may push him into a panic attack of some sort.

It had been a early morning start for Sarina, As much as she wished to just have a lay in and just imagine everything was just a dream was sadly not the case and in fact struggled to sleep. Maybe that issue will eventually subside and a decent nights sleep will one day beckon but for now it was the cafeteria that beckoned and hopefully a strong coffee would awaken the senses properly and get her ready for the day ahead, Of course she did the usual and showered, fresh clothing and spent time sorting out her hair before she would sleepily try and make her way to the cafeteria but the thing was the matter of remembering where it was in the first place but was not sure who to ask being all new and everything.

Sarina was in her own little world until someone or rather something pretty much went crash landing into her and sure as hell woke her up much more quicker then a cup of coffee would, She went crashing to the floor with a bit of a squeal before gathering her sense to figure out who the hell it was the landed on her, She could only assume it was some one as she felt their hands firmly planted on her breasts it was then when her crimson red eyes went wide as the sight was certainly not what she expected as some students passing by found it amusing sight. So it was a double shock and took the fire maiden as few moment to actually to something other than stare at the fur ball before her. She quickly fidgeted and removed this what ever kind of mutant you could call it hands off her assets before shoving him of her and planting one on his face before realising what she did and began sliding a bit back not sure what would happen next. " What the hell is wrong with you?" Was all she could utter out at that moment other than trying to refrain herself from torching the furry bugger.

It was around that time when the lights flickered off for a few moments and it made Sarina worry some more as this was still all new to her but she needed to calm herself, Suddenly some lights came back on but not all that probably indicated that it was the back up generator or something had kicked in. Slowly getting back up to her feet it appeared the sudden lighting issue subsided the current showcase that was made by herself and the furry mutant some student went back to what they were doing until the light went out again... permanently which suddenly cause concern and some panic, The hallway they were in now had no lighting and to make it worse the was no windows so it suddenly became very dark.

'Okay nothing to worry about, keep it together, they'll come back on in a minute' Sarina thought to herself calming her breathing the best she could but as the minute went past it was clear they weren't and no one could see what they were doing or moving for that matter. " Nobody move for a moment please." Sarina spoke up and preyed no one was to close to her as she took a few deep breath's and concentrated on controlling her power and light up her hand on fire to provide some illumination to the hallway which she succeeded in doing, The sudden flame in her right hand made a few students jump and she took in those around her. " What's going on?" Sarina asked once more, The light she provided calm to a few nerves but no one seemed to be wanting to move or maybe it was better to wait for a teacher?, Either way it was clear to those in Sarina's presence of what the red head can do.

(Steve)

As soon as the lights went out Steve let out a small "Eep" and instantly turned dark to match his surroundings. Not a very good coper with unexpected surprises, his arms slit open and started oozing blood in preemptive defense. Hearing Jax vaguely, Steve managed a quick "I'm honestly n-not s-s-sure. My m-memory i-i-isn't exactly the b-best. S-s-sorry" Steve didn't mention how something felt very, very, VERY wrong, nor did he mention how a part of him hoped it wasn't just a feeling, as the demon inside was thirsty...

(Leon)

Needless to say, Leon was extremely surprised to see he had crashed into a very attractive red-head, with the most hypnotic red eyes... glistening so shiny... he couldn't look away... until she planted her fist in his cheek. It was only then that he realized that his hands had also been planted... on her generous assets. Rubbing his face, he grinned cheekily and chuckled "Guess I deserved that" he said, holding out his paw for her to shake "Let's start over. Hi there! I'm Leon" he said, when suddenly, the lights flickered. Looking up, Leon was surprised when they were suddenly plunged into complete darkness. Well, not for him. Cats can see in the dark. Out of nowhere came a glow from the side. Turning, Leon saw her holding a ball of flame, illuminating the hallway. "Huh... well, that's cool. Explains why your chest was so warm, too" he quiped, with another charming chuckle... but it was merely to keep the spirits up. One look at his bristling fur, extended claws, tense posture, and the almost inaudible growl escaping his throat, and anyone could tell... something was bothering him... and it wasn't the fire. Something was afoul in the mansion that morning...

Asha's body arched slightly in surprise when he reached out to hold her, but she soon relaxed and even ended up leaning on him a bit. Her hands lightly held his shoulders, almost as if she were a bit shy about being touched by anyone at all. In fact she just seemed a bit shy looking at him. She didn't have experience dealing with boys or being touched by them, so she just thought her hammering heart was something normal. And her weakened knees were obviously the fault of her weakened energy state. At his similar greeting from before she smiled. She didn't quiet know what the words meant, but she supposed they were a greeting like they had been before.
The light from Asha's eyes had made him wince and she was about to apologize when he spoke about showing her his? His what? Well she soon found out. He did the thing she had seen him do before, only this time she went with him. And the only reason she knew that he had done his 'BAMF'-teleportation was because of the unique sound. With a jolt she had her arms around his neck, clinging to him, but not forcefully so. The smell of sulfur and the disorienting almost free-fall movement combined with her already spinning headache made her press her head against his chest and clench her eyes shut. Her stomach dropped, just like it had when she had been free-falling through the sky earlier that night, only she had no control over it now. She didn't know when it was over, she was too dizzy to be able to tell, still having a tight hold on Mangus, head pressed against him, eyes closed.

Magnus had to admit, he loved this trick. It goes in part with watching scary movies so the girl grabs on at just the right time. He let her hold onto him, drawing her close against his short but lean frame as he wrapped her in his tail around her waist.
Soon the world stopped spinning and it was absolutely dark. A soft beat could be felt more than heard, native american drums played on his music selection in a deep tribal invocation. The scent of sulfur was soon replaced with sage and other resins to tease the tongue when she opened her mouth. The floor was plush carpet and the AC was down to a cool 70.
Even though it was darker than death in here, his eyes saw it all as it was both his room and his mutation to see in the shadows. One of the reasons he brought her here was the fact that he knew his fridge had a high-chalorie vitamin infused drink meant to replenish him after a power-heavy work-out. It was usually reserved for x-men but it would count as a needed exception. His tail unwound from her waist like a warm snake to the cooler to grasp the bottle as he took her hands in his to set the ice cold cylender in her grasp.
"This will help better than everything in the kitchen, tastes like one of those whole wheat smoothies with black licorice. I got something to cut it, if you don't like it."

Asha wasn't sure exactly when they had stopped, still being dizzy and disoriented even after she heard the music in the dark. All she could really tell was that at some point his tail had wrapped around her waist and for some reason she felt a bit... flustered by it. Honestly though just noticing it had turned her thing warm shade of pink she hadn't seen herself turn before. It was a pale color though. In fact all of her was pale, compared to what she was usually. The last time she had been like this... Ah, she'd rather not think about it. Instead she focused, or tried to focus, on everything around her. And considering all of that... His tail slipped from her and his warmth was replaced with the smell of something more herbal and earthy, things she couldn't place. It was thick in the air, almost a bit heady, but comforting in a way.
And it was very dark here. Was this his room? She could see better than most people when it came to looking around in the dark, since she was mutated to (something a bit called for when flying around in the dark) but she was probably no match for him. Glowing softly in the dark, she was almost a bit intrigued at how her own illumination didn't seem to break down the darkness. She could only see faint shapes, this darkness so dense, unlike any she was used to, her eyes finding his shadowy figure. He really was like the night sky, although not full of different colored galaxies and stars, she could find the different shades of colors in the objects around him, though most of them undefined. But compared to all that, his figure was just a deep blue darkness. It was... incredible, really. It almost made her want to reach out and touch him again like she had in the kitchen. Ah...but she should probably keep her hands to herself... His hands fit over hers, the cool bottle placed in her grasp. She gave off an odd though almost unseeable shimmer, like ripples on glassy smooth water. Well that...had never happened before.
This was confusing and intriguing and puzzling and nerve-racking and pleasing and comforting and ... and.. o-oh, her head hurt. Asha was dizzy and weak, but her stomach tumbled like she was still free falling without control. Was she sick? A cold maybe? Well with such low energy... Ah, she didn't want to think anymore. Accepting the drink she gave him a tilted smile. "Thank you," she said softly, her light nervously rippling again, as if in time with that odd fluttery feeling she had, "Do you think... Is it alright if I sit down?"

"Shirak."
It was a single word, but it was a word of power, one that dismissed the supernatural darkness he had woven into his room. Aside from everything else of being a teleporting ninja like his father, he studied the arcane arts to build up his connection to his mother. He was no Doctor Strange, but he had his little tricks. One of witch was the summoning of darkness from the dozens of runes carved into every wall and portal. It was his own extra protection from the worlds most powerful psychic as magic was a different form of energy from that one's specialty. Yes, Magnus had a healthy respect born of fear from a man who can make everyone in a square mile drooling idiots.
With the darkness dismissed, the sun poured into his eastward window. Magnus winced and averted his face to the side like a vampire while pointing his finger at the window. "Dulak!"
The window blacked out and the room was illuminated by her sole presence, but without the magic she could see almost everything. Thick books sat beside pamphlets on racks lining the wall, three tables stacked with arcane implements such as wands and daggers. The source of scent was an ever smoldering batch of sage and other essentials sitting in a hot but lightless copper cauldron that bared no smoke as it just let its aroma fill the air. The music changed, shifting from native to nordic but still with the heavy heartbeat of a drum accompanies by deep chanting that droned in and out with the horns. Following the music the source seems to be coming from a small drum sitting beside the blacked out window.
"Yes, this is my room. Please sit."
Gently he took her by the shoulders and guided her down to the bed beneath the enchanted window. He himself didn't take a seat on the bed as he didn't want to seem too forward but he was not going to refuse any invitation she gave him, he was drawn to her like moth to flame. Even as the darkness of the magic had surrounded her, he could see how she shone even brighter if only by contrast to the darkness itself.
Once she was settled into his bed, little more than a mattress on the floor with a Persian style pile of pillows to adjust with, he took his seat by a half flip to plant his feet on the ceilings shadow provided by her light and hung upside down to look at her not unlike a bat. He kept his hands at his sides to keep his shirt from sliding up too much but just a hint of his azure abdomen peeked out against the shimmering black silk of his suit. From his right thigh the pocket folded open from the gravity and a small thing slipped out to fall to the floor with barely a whisper, across the carpet it rolled until what looked like a crystal ball had come to rest against her foot.
"Sorry, thats mine."

Darkness was lifted lightly with just a single word by him, but he seemed to be sensitive the sunlight a bit like her. They seemed to have much in common, even with physical differences so vast. His room was small and well lived in, unlike hers. He had so many things that describe him as a person. All she had was the small bag in her room. But then again that seemed to define the life she had had pretty well. She sat, still staring at him, as if slightly entranced with his actions, his warm hand on her shoulder.
Drinking down the shake, she winced at the taste. It was something alien to her. But then again there was a lot to the outside life that she was unfamiliar to. And this boy. He was alien to her to. But as strange as it all was, it was beautiful and awe-inspiring. A strange beauty. But so achingly beautiful. And this thick scented smoke, swirling around her, her senses enchanted just like she had been enchanted by his complete mystic darkness. The music so foreign and odd sounding, yet so comforting. Asha drank down the rest of her drink, her rainbow lights gaining back some of their own mystic color. When he didn't sit wit her, she tilted her head in curiosity, before touching the spot near to her.
He hung upside down on the ceiling. If someone would of looked in on them, they would of thought how reflective the image might of been. Like an art work showing the two sides of yin and yang. Light and dark. Her softness, his hardness. Her ignorance, his knowledge. Then something fell out of his pocket and rolled up to her, its cool hardness resting against her foot. Curiously she picked it up, turning it over in her hands. Looking up at him she lifted it up, offering it back to him.
"What is it?" she asked softly.

Magnus didnt remove himself from the ceiling just yet, even though she touched the space beside her. Taking the crystal back, he began to roll it over his fingers as he spoke in a slow soft hypnotic tone, letting her light dance over the crystal. He moved the rst of himelf as little as possible, letting the crystal become the focus of her sight and his voice the focus of her hearing.
"Its a crystal, nothing more. But is you turn it this way, and look into it... it will show you your dreams... But this is not a gift for an ordinary girl, do you want it?"
His movements were slow and careful. His hand was a series of contact juggling aided by her light to cling the crystal to his skins shadow. The rest of his body inched around, hand to tail to foot to settle himself beside her as he walked along the wall to the floor until his knees tucked in against her left hip. His breath rested upon the nape of her neck as he drew her hair around to the right shoulder.

Asha kept her ever changing eyes on him, even as he stayed in the shadows of the ceiling. He took the crystal from her, rolling it over his fingers in such an impossible way. Her light mixed with its crystal qualities, his dark fingers fluidly, gracefully turning it over and over, almost in a sensual kind of dexterity. Her eyes watched the crystal ball bend and swirl with every controlled movement his mustered. It was... entrancing, to say the least. Why...was he doing this to her? But she couldn't find the words to ask him.
He was careful, enchanting and slow, the light gleaming and shining off of the crystal he entranced her with. His fingers... his hands... He moved so slowly, it was like the thick heady smoke was making her slip into a dream. This shut off world, guarded by shadows. This was more than warmth and comfort and fluttering heat beats. Setting himself next to her, she couldn't help but be moved by this touch. Brushing her hair to the side, she tilted her head to the side, her eyes still on him and his crystal. The warm tickle of his breath on her nape, she let out a soft sigh.
Her colors danced just beneath her skin, the mirada of colors so soft and delicate, dancing and swirling in such a dream-like way, she was sure this was not reality anymore. So she could act on impulse without fear or resignation. Her hand clasped his, capturing those strong fingers so easily able to swirl that crystal before her. Her other arm went up and brushed against the soft darkness of his shoulder. Her heavy lidded eyes shimmer, bewitched by him, drawing him closer to her, savoring him.
"Should I want it?" she asked in a hush and sweetly troubled voice.

Magnus was as enthralled by her as she was of him. Her presence gave him a hope of a connection he thought long since lost when he left his true home. Part of him wondered what she would have been like in his world, the other part didn't care since she was with him here and now. Some people might think of Magnus as 'European' with his liberal love life and favoring drinks of wine to whiskey with the adults. So to say he was more experienced than her would be to say that wolverine is 'healthy'. That experience comes with certain expectations of others to be as experienced as him. When she grasped his hand and put her hand to his shoulder, he leaned in close so her voice would be a whisper in his pointed ear and his reply would be-
*Brrriiiinnng!*
...Cut off.
"Jigoku no chō sorera o chikushō roki!"
Mad as he was, the call had to be important, he programmed it to call even if put on silent or turn back on if powered down. He reluctantly left her hanging as he made a fist and teleported the few feet to his cellphone with the retro ringtone. He knew who would be on the other end of the line and so he spoke in a familiar tongue.
"Ja, Vater? Wo? Verstanden. Kann loki leiten."
He hung up the phone with a heavy sigh, things were going so well. He pointed a finger to a candle and spoke a simple incantation of 'Loki segen' to let it leap alight with fire. The room was now lit with a single candle and her celestial radiance that had him entranced with an aching desire to ignore the call. Part of him wanted to say with her to keep her safe, it would be still holding to what he was asked to do. But he was capable of so much more and he had a responsibility to everyone.
"Tuck your feet up."
His voice took a colder tone as he reached under her to pull out a spare uniform from beneath the mattress. It wasn't as good as the one in the medical lab, but it would work. His tail swept into the cabinet beside the bed to grab a spare bag of tools as he started to slip off his shirt. She could get a good clear glimpse of his tight frame and tattooed chest before he covered up with his ninjutsu gi. Next came the trousers and thankfully he had black silk boxers on for both their modesty sake. Not that he cared, he was going to his dark place and such things didn't matter. Kevlar gauntlets and tabi were both covered with hollowed hooked tubes like psychotic penny whistle, such were his kunai. Clipping his clothes closed was a belt with several pouches, each set with a different ninja tool of poorer quality than his current incarnation.
"Stay here. Sleep, you need it. I'll be back soon."

Magnus had her heart racing like she had just run a marathon and it made her fall into the dizzying misty darkness. They were like a complete reflection of one another and it mystified her. He could make her stomach tumble and her skin tingle with just a touch of his multi-colored dark hands, his warmth enveloping her. It was like she was already sleep and dug deep into a sensual fantasy. The only reason pure naive Asha was so bold was because it didn't quiet feel real. People didn't touch her in reality, not willingly anyway. And she had never seen anyone like her, unable to mask themselves as a regular person. So she wanted to capture him, like he entranced her. It was a strange feeling to her.
But the shrill ring of a phone broke the swirling smoke of the fantasy. Like an alarm clock she was pulled out of her sudden boldness. His warmth, his scent, his touch, it was all replaced with cold air. That desire in her was cooled and sank in her stomach, hardening into a aching disappointment. At least he seemed as irritated as she was disappointed. Of course it made her flush three shades of embarrassed peachy red. The thick sound of German on his voice made her shiver slightly and she watched him calmly. When he spoke to her again it was clipped and short, a bit cold and distant too. But she wasn't offended by it. Instead she just did as she was told and hugged her knees to her chest, watching him, almost a bit shy in her leering of him. He undressed in front of her, so she couldn't exactly summon enough will to look away. Plus it was a good little peek.
He was lean and he had tattoos, which was a bit surprising. A kind of bad-boy attractive, which she was intrigued to find she liked. He had nice legs too, well worked and strong looking. She sort of hoped he wouldn't catch her examining him so intently. His uniform-like outfit replacing his regular clothes was interesting and a bit exotic looking, almost similar to her black out clothing. She knew what some of it was, but for she'd probably end up trying to find out more about it later. When Magnus spoke again, it was short and curt once more. Asha just nodded, ignoring the spike in excited golds that shot through her many peachy-reds and pinks.
"Thank you," she said gently with a smile, resting her chin on her knees as she looked up at him.
Once he left Asha took a few minutes more to look around, still sitting on the bed. She wouldn't go poking around, since it was of course his room and she not only didn't have permission, but it was his privacy as well. It was a comfortable room though, the smell of earthy scents and sounds of foreign and comforting music still lingering in the air. Slowly she laid down on his bed, her shifting colored halo of hair layering over the dark cloth of his bed. Sliding herself under the covers of his bed she turned on her side and closed her eye. Maybe this really was a dream. Her head was still swimming and her heart was still banging harder than marching band drums. Shyly burying herself in the dark sheets, Asha grinned to herself and let out a soft sigh, falling once more back into a warm darkness full of dancing crystal balls and sharp spade tailed shadows.

Jax
The 'Eep' Steve made caused Jax to turn around and look at him, something was different, but it confirmed what Jax thought, this kid had other powers other then just changing colour. Jax noticed that the kid was manipulating something,

"That looks like more then just changing colours kid..." Fine, we will stay here for now. As Jax spoke he moved over to the cupboard and found a couple of bottles of Cola.

"Want a drink there?"

As he waited for Steve to answer he opened one of the bottles and took a large swig from it.

John

As John was making his way around the mansion, using a flash light in the areas that natural light could not reach he rounded a corner to a hallway leading to the kitchen, with a warm flickering light dancing around the entrance to this hallway, meaning one of the fire users had lit things up to try and keep anyone near them calmer, John rounded the corner seeing a few students gathered near a girl who was using her powers, from the light she was providing he could see some of the other students, including someone who looked like a feline/human hybrid.

"Guys, come along - we need to gather in the lounge, keep everyone together."

Precursor To The Beast: Presented by Solemn and Assallya, more to come.

Laura's scream reached every corner of the Danger Room, a scream of unimaginable pain. To her credit, she fought hard against the control. As hard as she had ever fought against anything; against conditioning, and soullessness. Against being used again. Sharp as her mind is she simply couldn't stab back against the darkness - couldn't slash through the shadows reaching to all the unwanted corners of her mind.

At first, it wasn't as if the Shadow King knew (or did he?) that there was some special scent, a special trigger. If he did, his sadism was just an extra twist of the knife - a twist all too familiar. She could feel her consciousness whittling into the onrushing white noise. It grew and she fell to one knee, her claws sawing at the edges of her fingers in an attempt to drag her back.

Sarah and the Danger Room seemed to be miles away, and then lifetimes. Every death she'd ever been a part of, her mother's, her sensei's, her first kill, her last kill, the hundreds of others in between. They all flashed through her mind in a Kubrickian attempt to red wash her strengthened consciousness. It stopped for an instant, her eyes opened and she spotted an undoubtedly bewildered Sarah.

Laura knew Sarah could see the horror and the pleading and the pain in her eyes and she tried her hardest to scream, to tell her to run. She felt the adrenaline building like before, she felt her flesh getting hot and her heart rate increasing. A flood of heightened senses, her organized thoughts flittering like kindled ash, the scent she could never ignore flooding her mind.

It was different this time, she could feel everything. She could tell it wasn't like it was because...the world didn't just go red. Laura was present. Paralyzed in her own mind, watching her compatriot fade from friend to prey. There was nothing she could do except beg to wake up or...beg that Sarah could kill her. She hoped, in these moments before it all left lucid and moved to paralytic nightmares, that Sarah could get away.

"Laura?" Sarah asked, seeing nothing much more than a severe headache.

Then Sarah spied the blood. Laura could see through the red haze that it unsettled the blond mutant. She somehow realized something was wrong.

"I think we should get the professor," Sarah said after only a moment's consideration and then moved to tap the communicator at her belt. Laura watched Sarah pat herself down, finding only soft silk, the sheer material of her sorceress' harem outfit. She was probably looking for the communicator that she normally glued to her skin while she was in costume on a mission but couldn't find it. She then saw Sarah almost call out to the Danger Room for help. The useless ditz apparently, momentarily forgetting that without power, the Danger Room wasn't going to be opening a radio channel to anybody. Then she turned away from Laura, padding across the steel tiled floor on her bare feet, apparently going for the gym bag that had previously been in the captain's cabin of the ship.

Laura couldn't make out what the word Sarah said meant. She couldn't recognize her own name, anger flooded in with the most sadistic of euphoric mental grins. She was going to feel herself enjoying this, to feel herself reveling in the hunt. X could see how it unsettled her, she could feel it in the air. She could taste Sarah in the worst senses imaginable.

Time moved a little slow than it had before, her movement wasn't as rigid as usual. Her body almost seemed to flow, her arms hanging lazily with claws fully extended. The blood had run down her gloves, soaking in with the old stains. Fitting. Laura tipped and swayed slightly, as if getting used to standing as she rose. Her breathing picked up audibly, adapting a soft growl with every inhalation. She took a rough step forward as Sarah shuffled back. The comprehensive parts of her brain seemed to struggle with reality, it was impossible to tell if this was really happening, but in her stomach she knew. She could feel just how hungry looking at Sarah made her.

As her prey - no, Sarah. Still Sarah... Moved for her gym bag. Her body processed it immediately as a potential escape route, her overwhelming urges bled into the little bit that was still conscious. In a futile attempt...she thought of the ship, then to the mission. To her friends. Her family, Logan. Her loved ones, the people that mattered. To meeting Sarah for the first time.

Her memories faded into nothingness, her last stretch of hope popping like a kite string.

X took another step forward, this time much more balanced. Her torso bowing low and her arms extended on either side. It was unfortunately all too obvious that this was no mere headache.

Backup Generator Room

It took about five minutes for Beast to check what happened to the backup generator, it seemed to have been cut but by who? Only his torch showed him where he was and only showed him small portions of the room with the limited range the torch had. As he walked around the backup he noticed some more damage to the backup meaning it was not going to be up anytime soon. Parts of the backup were missing, some parts were broken and the rest could not function without the said parts.

Beast: “I think we have some trouble here, the damage here is done in a way that fixing it won’t be easy. Iceman you are coming down to the basement with me to get Professor X.”

Iceman was in the back of this room with his own torch looking the place over.

Iceman: “I wonder who did it and why? Well since we can’t do anything here lets go get the Professor.”

Beast nodded though it could not be seen as he made his way out of the room with Bobby following close behind.

--

Lower Basement

Professor X: “Beast should be here in a bit Plasma, we just need to stay here and wait. I feel there is more danger coming.”

Plasma stood right next to Charles while beast and Iceman made their way down manually. Rebecca’s hair went green at this point, it was bright and so it was not as hard to see as everything else in this room. She was a little worried, she knew something happened in the danger room but she did not know what.

8 minutes later.

Iceman and Beast were down in the basement and the first thing they did was check the basement out to see if anyone other than Charles was down here. Iceman went to check the danger rooms while beast checked the others but for him everything was clear as can be with the limited sight he had. With that he was soon in the med bay where Charles spoke up.

Professor X: “I take it the generator is unfixable?”

Beast: “We have the parts but I think we have bigger problems as the generator was destroyed in a planned way.”

Professor X: “This is troubling, but for now let’s return to the main floor. We need to see how the students are doing.”

Beast nodded and soon guided him and Plasma to the area Beast and Iceman came from. He would make Plasma keep watch out as he carried Charles up to the floor above. Rebecca had to point the torch around so Beast knew where to go but the problem was the light was limited and so he had to use his sight to the best of his abilities.

Iceman: “Hello, anyone down here?”

He had checked two of the danger rooms by this point; he had another two to go. His flash light pointing all over the place as he tried to see if the other two were empty.

Iceman: “So a priest, a rabbi and robot walk into the bar and……. Wait that was not how it went……. Wait was it two robots and a can of creamed corn?”

--

Outside the Mansion

A figure moved from one place to another using cover to hide themselves. Time to time they would look out to see if anyone was about. A few students were here and there but they were together and so dealing with them would give them away. After a moment of looking out the mystery person ran from one spot to the other until they were next to a window that lead into a class room. Like a ninja they looked out to see if anyone was coming but no one did making them enter the building undetected.

The room was dark which was good and this is what they wanted as they moved from this room and into the darkest corners of the hallway. They could hear mutants close by as they soon put on some night-vision googles. This corridor was pure darkness.

Mystery Person: “I will find you and I know you are here. I will bring you in and I will kill everyone you seen, meet or know.”

No one was around to hear them as they made an evil smile before setting off down the hall. By this point they were near a door and so they went through it. On the other side was a mutant sitting there, it was dark but it seemed to not bother them. What were they doing was a mystery as the intruder made their way towards the target. She says silently.

Mystery Person: “Times up little one, you can blame a certain someone for this.”

They smirked at this point before going into to take them out. The person hand reaching closer and closer to the targets chest which they phased through. Of course the mutant was aware but was unable to do anything as they felt there heart being crushed. A scream would have left the young mutants lips but the intruder had covered their mouth so no one would know. When the mutant was lifeless the intruder smiled before setting off again, the cause of death would not be known until they were examined.

The intruder was on the move again as they left the room and made their way elsewhere. Soon the target pulled a knife out of its holding place before making their way to the next closest mutant who seemed to be confused by what was happening. He was alone and his power was passive but a never ending problem, there appearance would change every so often from his human form to his mutant form. As he slowly walked up the corridor the intruder took action and did the job quickly as they covered the targets mouth and stabbed them right in the heart before dragging them into the empty room the other dead mutant was in.

Two were dead but the death games were still going. By this point though Charles was onto them. He had Wolverine, Rogue, Storm, Nightcrawler and Magneto find the unwanted guest. Of course this person was not going to be taken easily as they went on to slay a few more mutants who somehow ended up on their own. Close by Nightcrawler was jumping places while Wolverine sniffed the place out who by this point had picked up the scent of this person.

The thing was the intruder was always on the move and only Wolverine knew where they were other than Professor X.

Wolverine: “Come out here bub so I can cut you down.”
