You know that feeling, when you’re drifting off to sleep and you suddenly feel like you’re falling? You finally feel relaxed and your brain is starting to shut down, and then you’re falling through the air and your heart jumps in your chest and your brain snaps back into consciousness? That’s what it felt like to Lena, once they burst through the atmosphere in the shuttle that The Council had packed the delinquents into, only this time, there was no waking up and no snapping out of it, only the ground growing closer and closer by the second. Catching her breath was hard, staying in her place was hard; her seat belts dug into her shoulders as she pressure pushed her out of her seat. She gripped the bottom of her chair, her nails digging into the leather, and squeezed her eyes shut.

Lena never felt the impact, she passed out before that, but she felt the aftermath. Somehow, she had ended up out of her seat – the door had blown open as they sped towards Earth, dragging people from their seats and out of the door. At first, she was confused. This brown stuff beneath her fingers was unfamiliar. She ground her fingers together, rubbing the stuff between it, before her mind finally cleared and she remembered…dirt. Mud. The stuff they grew the plants in, in the greenhouses on The Continent. Lena had never seen it, but she’d been told about it. Her eyes were trying to focus in this new, natural light and she rolled onto her back, looking at the sky.

Beside her, chaos reigned – people were screaming in terror, crying, shouting. Lena just needed a moment. The air was better than anything she had ever tasted – so fresh and real, not recycled and stuffy. The sun blinked down at her through the canopy of trees, winking at her. She smiled, and it fell from her face as soon as it appeared. She pushed herself into a sitting position and looked around, taking in the most horrific sight she had ever seen.

Not a foot away from her lay the boy who’d been sitting beside her on the shuttle – he hadn’t been as lucky as Lena. The impact of the landing had thrown him from the shuttle too, and his head had hit a rock. Lena had to look away to keep from retching at the sight of his brain splattered across the ground. She pushed herself to her feet, her exposed legs scraped up and bloody, and slowly tried to get her bearings as she looked around the wreckage, wondering if the people up on The Continent knew what a disaster their landing would be.

So, this is Earth. How fascinating.

Lawrence had only ever heard stories of the planet, passed down through the generations. Most of them weren't good, filled with violence and pollution and destruction, but before all that they said it was beautiful. He didn't think so, but it was interesting to say the least. Different. They had touched down in a mostly open space, the ground was bare dirt with small pools of water scattered here and there. The little foliage that there was had grown stunted and low to the ground. In contrast to the dull earthy colors was the brilliant blue sky, perfectly cloudless, and the sun beat down upon them. He'd never felt the sun directly before. It reflected brightly off his pale skin and it seemed to him that he was slightly glowing.

From the place where he was crouched, he could see the entire landing sight. Or rather, crash sight. No doubt the Council hurled them off the Continent without regards as to how many of them actually survived. They really only needed one. However, the odds seemed to be with them for a little more than a handful seemed to be fully-functional. He turned his head with a quick jerk and fixed his eyes on the girl Lena, who seemed to be putting a bit of distance between herself and the boy with his head smashed in. The thought occurred to him that, in the absence of any real supplies (none extra could be spared for them), human flesh ought to be nourishing enough by itself. His gaze shifted from Lena to the corpse, and he shuffled toward it in a feral, almost animal-like way. Rations for prisoners were even smaller than those for regular citizens, and he couldn't remember the last time his belly had been full.

Upon reaching the body Lawrence paused for a brief assessment and checked for a pulse just in case there was any chance he was still alive. He was just wondering how he should go about the deed when something caught his attention. Beyond the other survivors toward the hilly horizon. He stood up quickly and trained his eyes upon what seemed to be another living creature. It was unlike anything he had ever seen: a brown creature with four legs and a long tail that resembled a tassel, and a long neck with an oblong head and small pointed ears. It seemed to be watching them, then apparently lost interest and dropped its head to the ground to graze on the short grasses.

So, some things did survive the end of the world.

He suddenly remembered Lena, standing not far off and surveying the area. He pointed toward the creature in the distance and said, "I believe that is an animal." He wondered if he should add anything to that statement, perhaps a follow up question like 'should we do something about it?' but by the time it occurred to him it no longer seemed important, so he said nothing else.

For whatever possible reason, Lyle loved the feeling of the pain he was going through. The pressure of pushing through the atmosphere. He was smiling at the feeling, he was almost ready to laugh. But with no air in his lungs, he would pretty much die. That was something he didn't want this quick. He sang a tune in his head as they were plummeting towards mother Earth. "He's got the whole world, in his hands. Hes got the whole world, in his hands. Hes got the whole world, in his hands. Hes got the whole world in his hands." They were told the chances of surviving. To Lyle, this was the way to go out. It was better than getting your eyes sucked out of your head and having no oxygen to breath. He was on the last two lines of the song he could remember right before he hit the ground. He's got everybody here, in his hands. Hes got everybody in his hands."

Just as the last line was said the lights went out for Lyle. But he recovered faster than most. His chair seemed to have been tossed a ways from the crash for whatever reason. It must have been the impact. Lyle was laying with the chair on its side. He unbuckled the belts he had and made sure he didn't have any injuries on him before standing up. He felt wet substance on across his shoulder. He knew it was blood but he also knew he would be fine. He stood up from his position and looked at the matter at hand. He noticed some were not moving. He noticed others were just getting up. The most important thing he noticed was the amount of death there had been within their first hour of slamming into the ground.

Lyle squinted at the light of the sun. The warmth felt different from that of the temperature on The Continent. He felt much more relieved and free already. He felt normal for once... He had shook it off and didn't realize how much pain he was gonna feel. A sharp pain surprised from his leg surprised him. He looked down only to see a few large cuts in his right leg. Shrapnel had grazed his leg as they crashed. He stood there motionless, looking at the carnage that had just happened before his eyes. He looked up into the sky, wondering what them Councilmen had been doing while they were launched off into a land that was no longer known. Did anyone here have any survival skills? Was anyone here capable of leading a group? Or was it going to turn into a blood bath from the start? He switched thoughts as to what event was about to take place in his life. Knowing now that people were actually going to be needed in his life from here on out, a thought crossed his mind. One that he was hoping would never cross his mind for the rest of his life. "Friends... I have to make friends... This is gonna suck."

It was the absence of sound that stirred her into consciousness; there was nothing but a loud ringing in her ears. A bright light blared down on Kate’s closed lids, but it just wasn’t a bright light. She could actually feel direct heat hitting her eyes and face, making her feel warm and healthier. Her deathly pale skin was not used to this kind of exposure and began to sting and burn almost. She winced and rolled over onto her side to shade herself from whatever form of torture the guards were trying to instill upon her, only to have her face hit something prickly but soft and smooth. Still not opening her eyes she moved her hand across it feeling the lights warmth on it as well. As Kate pulled at it she gasped when it actually uprooted itself rather easily causing her to open her eyes to something she wasn't expecting….the color green.

Slowly she raised herself up into a sitting position, not being able to get her eyes off the green things that were all over the ground around her she shifted her gaze to a brown trunk that was next to her that seemed to go on for days then at the top was more green things. They were everywhere, “Trees.” She whispered to herself. Trees were something she only read about in books. She smiled and looked at the ground again, “Grass.” Sticking out of the grass was a little blue thing, with a slim green body and a top that burst out towards the sky. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. She reached out to touch it when the ringing stopped, and reality came back to her.

Screams and crying came from all around her making her head shoot up and look all around her. A space craft sat a few feet away with some bodies struggling to get out, they all had the same jumpsuits on but with different colors, ‘The other prisoners…right we-’ Her brain throbbed as images flooded her eyes, the craft they were shoved into, the falling feeling and her banging her head on the glass pulling her into the darkness. She put her hands on the sides of her head to try and ease the pain, but there was something sticky and wet on them. She pulled them away and saw the dark red substance staining them. Her body began to shake as she looked to the ground and followed the trail of blood next to her as it led to its source. There a girl lay with a large stick jutting out of her abdomen, she was clearly dead.

Kate felt panic and fear take over her as she took a deep breath to scream only to let out a loud yelp before her body was rattled with coughs. She became extremely lightheaded and dizzy not used to having so much air in her body at one breath, the air in the Continent slums was very sparse and nowhere near as potent as it was here. Kate continued to hack and cough as she crawled away from the body, towards the space craft.

Kirina was in a huge bath! In fact, this was the largest bathtub she had ever had the pleasure of being in! Except this bath was slightly different for two reasons. One, she had all her clothes on, even her shoes! Two, she was sinking. Fast. As her eyes snapped open she had to blink a few times before she could get used to the water surrounding her. Small bubbles escaped her nose as she held her breath, but she almost breathed out a sigh. The water was so blue! Nothing like she had ever seen before, Kira knew that this was no ordinary bath. I don't think I can breathe She thought to herself as the water rushed past her head. Something sailed in front of her and stopped. It had eyes on either side of it's head and it's skin was shiny. It had a sharp tail that, just as quickly as it arrived, propelled it away again. Kira almost gasped again. She had never seen anything like it before! Wow. I really can't breathe.

She tried to kick her legs up but soon realized that she was still strapped to her seat. It must have thrown her out of the aircraft and into this huge pool. Almost frantically, her hands clawed at the belts that strapped her in. Near the side she found a button which she jabbed at with her fingers. Nothing happened. Her squirming made her groan in frustration and precious air leaked from her lips, tumbling to the top of the water in bright bubbles. Using both hands she was finally able to unclasp the buckle near the end of the seat and her restraints fell away. Her body floated as the chair sank deep into the deep bath tub. Kira kicked her legs and turned her body to watch it go. The darkness had swallowed it up.

With a few strong movements she had hit the surface and took in a gasp of air. The first noise she let out was a loud laugh as she floated in the middle of the water surrounding her. Far off she heard cries and screams so she decided that would be the perfect direction to go in. Kicking her legs she swam, her clothes weighing her down and an occasional wave pulled her under the water again, giving her plenty of time to look at all the fish and plants below. It was amazing.

Once on shore she rolled onto her back and stared in awe at the bright sky. She let out another piercing laugh as she gripped the sand in her hands.

“I’m not going to need a bath for a whole year!”

Enrique had been one of the first out of the shuttle, he had never felt such a rush after being met with cold water after floating through space then speeding down towards the big blue sphere he had been told about since he was a child. This one place was his salvation, the only thing that made sure he didnt get floated. He thought about all these things as he and many others swam away from the sinking vessel, he saw the shore and couldnt help but smile as he pushed himself through the water. He felt the sand under his boots and started trudging towards the shore, he grinned as he emerged from the water. He moved towards the grassy section and sat there his put his legs out bent at the knees, with his hands resting on them. He watched people walk out of the water and some just barely making it out of the ship, he pulled his pocket knife from his coat pocket and cleaned his nails. He grimaced as he saw a body rise to the top of the water, it wasnt moving. He watched it for a minute and knew it wasnt going to move.

[much earlier on the ship/ station, Cell block D]

Kylar woke up when he heard a sound the the door of his cell.
A guard opened the door "get up, your chosen"
Kylar did as he was told, holding in his emotions, his thoughts, just acting as he was told, he did not wanted to ruin this chance.
he had heard rumors about this plan to send criminals to earth, guards speaking to each other, mostly with disbelieve and disgust.
Kylar stepped out of his cell and looked down the hallway, it seemed that from his block only he was chosen or others had already been picked up or were going to be picked up later.
"Kylar Steck"
At the mention of his name he looked back, surprise filled his face when he noticed one of the councils elder members, surrounded by a ton of guards, but that was to be expected.
"Before you step in your pod, I have ordered the guards to give you your old sword back, there are a lot of children with a homicidal past getting send down as that there may still be animals that likely have evolved into dangerous beasts, I hope you take it on yourself to guard the others from these dangers"
Kylar was surprised to hear this, sure he was only thrown in jail for owning and practicing with a sword, but why would the council ask him this.
"why?" was the natural responce.
"I know you dont trust us adults, the psych's we had talking with some of you had reported that, but we also know your not as bad as the others, that you might guard the younger ones at least, that is all I ask"
Kylar nodded, perhaps this one was not as bad "if danger comes I will help those in need, but not for you"
The council nodded to Kylar response "that is fine"

[some time later before the drop]

Kylar was guided trough a section of the station he did not know, he looked around, taking in the hallway.
He had heard there would be more then 2 drop ships, yet till now he has not noticed anything beside the one he was supposed to go to, making him wonder if anything about this would be true in the end...
Then he could see it, a door leading into the pod, still he could only see one pod, but if there is one, there might be others in the end.
The guard tapped his shoulder and Kylar turned around, with that the guard unlocked his handcuffs and gave him a something he had not seen in a long time, his sword.
Kylar took it from the guard who was a little nervous, well its to be expected.
It did not help when Kylar slowly but surely pulled the sword halfway out of its sheath to check its condition before pushing it back again and step into the pod, he was the first it seemed and took a spot all the way in the back.

[current time]

Kylar opened his eyes slowly, he had not noticed one thing of the trip having fell in his first deep sleep in, he did not even know anymore...
The pod was empty, the door opened and he could see brown and green stuff trough it.
He seemed to be the last one to wake up and get out of the pod, the belt system had jammed as he failed to unhook it.
great start, did we crash or something?
He pulled his sword out of its sheet, actually surprised that the kids that were labeled a danger had not killed him or stolen his sword, and cut the belt, stumbling forwards, the pod was not in a stable position at all.
slowly he walked out, his sword still drawn and his eyes fell on the chaos in front of him, he cursed inward at the sight of dead children and all the other crap, his shoot the reality off him, getting a feeling as if he got disconnected from the world and did not let the panic get the better of him.
He walked, first things first, gather and calm down all the survivors.
He had seen a rather large rock and climbed on it, pointed his sword in the air for some reason he did not know, but he wanted to get everyone their attention so it might help
"SHUT UP AND CALM DOWN!!!"
he waited for the people around him to become quite and look before he lowered his arm.
"I know the situation is bad, kids are dead, others are wounded, but if we let all this chaos drive us, non of us will live past today, so calm down, we need to start making sure we can survive, if the wounded ones can go or be brought to the pod, then some of us can check the wounds in a more sheltered situation, further we need food, water, a better shelter then the pod, we need fire and something called wood, so anyone that can do any of those task, tell me now so we can dived the task, I know there are people with more mental issues" npt wanting to cause panic with saying homicidal "but in order for any of use to survive the next 24 hours, please set your issues aside"

Jack remembered everything. He'd heard the heat shields give way upon reentry. The damned shuttle was programmed to fly a specific course. If he'd been allowed to pilot it manually, this might not have happened. On the other hand, maybe the Council had intended this, and certainly intended them never to be able to lift off again. The carnage that lay before him though, was on a scope he couldn't imagine, even from the Council.

He was stuck, in a tree. He knew what trees were, had even analyzed them through the probe's sensors when he worked in the Tech Regiment. They were much bigger that he'd anticipated. He was caught in the branches, the remnants of his seat belt dangling him from a gnarled limb. He reached down and pulled out his boot knife, the one Major Taylor had given him right before launch.

"I'm sorry it came to this. I should have fought harder to keep you in the Tech Reg." Major Taylor stood in front of him as the final preparations were being made for launch. The doctor was giving them the last of the vaccines that they thought they might need, and the first names were being called for boarding.

"It's not your fault. And to be honest, I'm pretty excited to be seeing what's down there." He really was. He had anticipated a return for some time, had even written a proposal that had been endorsed by Major Taylor and shown to the council, how a survey team could safely land and return. The counsel hadn't been happy and assigned him away from the Tech Reg.

"Well, I'm a little jealous. I just wish you were seeing it on better terms." The Major looked around at the group of young people standing in a single file line. "Most of these aren't soldiers, this is an execution wrapped up in an exile. You have to be very careful down there." He pulled out the nearly unbreakable razor sharp carbon alloy boot knife and handed it to Jack, along with a maglock key.

"I did all I could for you. There's a mag crate in the front of the cargo. It is crucial that you recover it. It will only open with this key." Jack put the key around his neck.

"Thank you, Sir."

He reached frantically into his shirt feeling for the key around his neck, it was still there. First things first he had to get down. He cut through the straps holding him up in the tree and braced himself for the fall. He crashed down into a swampy muck and crawled to dry ground. He surveyed the crash. No way to determine where the cargo hold had been. Pieces of debris mixed with their rations, survival equipment all over the place. People were screaming, crying, one girl was laying on the ground laughing, she didn't sound hysterical, she sounded genuinely pleased. That was understandable. Those who were alive were lucky. Bodies everywhere. He walked toward the epicenter of the crash and saw a girl covered in blood, crawling on the ground. Jack jogged over toward her and crouched down.

"Lay still, where are you hurt?"

"Huh? O-Oh i-i'm not hurt its j-just that girl over there s-she's dead...she's dead and she bled on me, I felt like I couldn't breathe for a minute but i-i'm OK." Kate's coughs had subsided quicker than they had started, her shrivel lungs were just not used to being able to expand so freely that her body just didn’t know what to do. Kate looked up at the man who showed concern for her, strange considering all of them there were criminals. Kate wiped her hands off on her jumpsuit and slowly stood up earning her another wave of dizziness but she shook it off.

She glanced up at the man trying to muster some form of confidence in her voice, “I...I didn’t kill her if that’s what you thought.” To her disdain her voice was nothing more than a little squeak. She cleared her throat and moved forward to the guy trying to stop the chaos that had erupted around them. They obviously needed to start making camp to survive, which she could sort of do having grown up in the most underdeveloped part of the Continent. At the mention of building a fire she raised her hand, “I know how to make a fire pit, if anyone wants to join me…”

This time she didn’t even bat an eye as she went over to the thrown about supplies and took an empty satchel and begun to gather dried leaves and grass for kindling, if no one wanted to help she would be fine on her own.

One voice rose above the rest and drew Lawrence's attention away from the animal, and when he glanced back at where it had been it was gone. Kylar was the one shouting at them all, trying to create some kind of order. Order could be advantageous he had to admit, and order required cooperation. A little ways to his left was another man--Jack, he recalled-- and a girl--Cassy? No, Kate. The girl was listening to Kylar and said something about building a fire, yes fire would be useful…He glanced quickly down at the corpse at his feet. Useful indeed.

He swiftly turned away from it and made his way over to the two. He was just as much of a mess as both of them, he realized. His prison clothes had been dirtied and torn in a few places, and his normally immaculately combed hair was thrown into disarray. Still, he offered a shy smile to them, the girl had already begun to collect the materials needed. "I can help," he offered, and to demonstrate his willingness he bent over and grabbed a stick off the ground. It was damp from laying in the mud, that's wouldn't be any good. "There is likely drier wood uphill," he gestured to the slight incline of the ground, and indeed it did look much drier. In fact, if they were to make camp, a logical place would be higher ground. He began moving in that direction, collecting small sticks on the way so that by the time he reached the crest he had an armful.

Up here the land leveled off and was speckled with sparse trees. Some where dead. He dumped the sticks in a pile and began collecting the larger branches that had fallen beneath the trees, adding them as well. The exertion coupled with the heat of the sun caused him to break out in a sweat, and eventually he fatigued and had to sit down, panting. It wasn't until that moment he realized how frail he had become during his incarceration. He was thin, malnourished, and his strength had waned. Even his hands were shaking.

Water.

They would need water soon, he supposed the large pool of it near the crash site would suffice, if the water wasn't stagnant. Well, he'd investigate that later, for the moment he needed to rest.

Kirina heard someone yell. My isn't he bossy! she thought to herself as she scrambled to her feet and stared at the man who was talking to them. She watched him for a while, a smile plastered to her face before she got bored and looked around her. On the ground near her feet was a boy, roughly her age, his mouth had fallen open but there was no tongue in it. He must have bit it off when he collided with the ground. His head lay propped against a rock, and a huge crack divided the back of his skull. Blood oozed down the rock in a thick mush. Kira stared at the boy for a while. She grabbed the boy's hand and dragged his limp body towards the water. Waves picked him up and took him floated him farther and farther out.

"I can't help you anymore!" She called after the body. "Bye bye!!" With that she watched as the waves took him away. In the back of her mind the word 'fire' floated around.

Fire! She had heard someone say fire. She turned on her heels and scrambled away from the shore. "Fire!" She called out. "I like fire!" She saw a girl bending down to collect leaves and small sticks. Kira bolted, running at her at full speed. Right before she ran straight into her, Kira stopped. She waved her arms about to keep from falling before looking up at the girl. Grinning she panted, "Fire? I can do that!" With one hand she reached down the front of her shirt, digging around for something. With a flash of white teeth she yanked something out the front of her shirt, a wild grin on her face. Proudly, Kira held out her hands, in them lay a small grey rock that was rough to the touch.

"It's flint! See?" Kira did not remember how she got it.

Kylar looked around at the situation, it had calmed down a bit but not everyone was so actively.
But he had not expected everyone to respond in general anyone, if at least 50% calmed down and started to do thing, then things would become better.
And it did, at least 50% had started doing this he had said, some were collecting wood and looking for a good spot on higher ground, some were thinking of using flints, some had started working on pulling the wounded and the ones still in panic to the shuttle.
Most likely most that were still panicking had a reason, perhaps they were wounded or in shock, so taking them to the shuttle was a good thing.

Kylar walked to the shuttle himself, taking a look, he had learned some medical know how living alone, he had to treat his own wounds so..
But most of these wounds were pretty heavy, broken bones, deep wounds...
He knew the basics to fix these things, but he needed help.
Not to mention he had an other concern...

Kylar looked the the ones on higher ground working on the fire, it was a good idea to make the fire and eventually the camp on high ground, he wondered if the one that came up with that idea had read some survival books and books about the planet earth as well, perhaps they had read the same books.
It had been years ago that he had read them, but slowly it all started to come back to him.

He walked to the ones working of the fire, they were the most calm anyway.
"Any of you know anything about healing wounds or something like that? could use a hand"
he then looked at the branches "also, its good to be on high grounds, but I have read something about storms, so we might need to find a good place to hide, like a shelter, the shuttle is on low ground, that's no good, but we need something here, any idea's?"
He then looked at the group again "Name's Kylar by the way"

Things weren’t calming down, at least not from where Lena stood. A boy spoke to her, pointing out the animal that was close to them, observing the scene. She watched as it slunk away, her eyes wide and her brain working 100x faster than usual. She could hear someone shouting over the chaos. The boy who had spoken to her (Lawrence, was it?) disappeared. Lena was feeling incredibly overwhelmed – currently the only thing stopping her from panicking was the fact that she had the open sky above her. She looked up, focusing on the sky for a moment. There were white things floating in the sky – the powdery layer she’d seen from The Continent, when she had gazed down on the earth from the tiny window in her cell – were they clouds? For a moment, everything around her stopped and the noise faded away.

Then something broke her concentration and her serenity - someone crashed into her from the side and sent her flying into a boy who looked around a similar age to herself. She would have apologised, but the girl who had fallen into her was sobbing and bleeding and screaming. She grabbed Lena’s arms and was screaming something at her, something Lena couldn’t understand through the girl’s tears. Lena looked down and saw that the blood coming through her shirt was the result of a shard of metal stuck in her stomach. Lena had seen a few people with wounds, but none like this. The girl collapsed and Lena caught her under the arms, barely able to hold her on her feet.

“Oh my god, oh my god,” She gasped, turning to the boy she’d backed into – Lyle?, “You have to help me! We need to get her inside, and lie her down. I need to see how deep this wound is.” Years of living beneath the floorboards meant that Lena had a lot of time to read and learn and, her father having been a doctor, there were a lot of medical books in their quarters. Now, Lena was no doctor, but she knew a thing or two – possible enough to stop the bleeding. If somebody could find the right medicinal plants – maybe so some seaweed or blackberries, they might be able to fight off infection while she healed.

Lawrence was still slouched on the ground, his head resting in his hands. He felt dizzy all of a sudden, and noticed after some minutes that he was shaking. Could he be in shock? Possibly. Heaven knows he'd been through enough to warrant that kind of reaction. He raised his head, and held his fingers before his face, watching as they twitched erratically. He didn't immediately register the other boy-- Kylar, the one who thought he was in charge of this whole escapade-- when he climbed the hill to see what the fire-crew was doing. What had he said, help the wounded? Did he assume that because Lawrence was sitting down and apparently not suffering from a serious injury that he had nothing better to do?

He breathed a heavy sigh, then struggled to rise to his feet. He had to go back down there anyway, his throat was parched and his tongue was dry and felt like sandpaper in his mouth. Water... He tried to speak but his voice seemed to be suddenly incapacitated. What was…

Before he could deduce what seemed to be happening, dark spots appeared in his field of vision. He shook his head, but they did not clear up and he stumbled off keel, made a wild grasp at Kylar's arm which was the nearest thing too him in a desperate attempt to stay on his feet. It was all in vain, for the darkness closed in on him, and he tumbled to the ground, unconscious. Already fair skin turned deathly white. Perhaps the impact of the crash had damaged him more than he'd previously believed.

As Kylar was talking and asking about the idea for a shelter and all, he noticed that one of the people was acting strange.
"Are you ok?" he asked but he did not get a reply, it seemed that the person reached out for his arm and fell on the ground.
Kylar barely catch him and lifted him over his shoulder.
"Crap, things really are going crap"
He looked towards the shuttle, multiple wounded and in a similar state, shock?, were dropped but it seemed no one was actually helping them, was he the only one that knew a thing or 2 of medical stuff?
No, there was a girl, it seemed she was doing what he could to keep an younger girl alive, perhaps she also know's some things.
At least he hoped, he knew the basics to mend most wounds, even broken bones and some plants, but someone in shock... He hoped she would know what to do.

Kylar made his best effort to get some contact, trying to talk the the man, hoping he would get some responce as he dragged him to the shuttle and the girl.
Laying him next to her he looked at the little girl she was holding.
"Let me take a look?" he asked in order to see the wound.
He could see the shard, it did not look like it was in too deep or that it was too big.
"Main problem would be blood loss I hope, dont think its so deep that it pierced anything, I can look for some..." He realized something then, he knew something he could get to stop the bleeding, at least he hoped.
"Be right back, also, please tell me you know something to help someone in shock?"
He ran into the Shuttle, grabbed the belt system of an not ejected chair and pulled it as far as he could, cutting it with his sword before returning back.
He then started with pulling the belt around the girls wound, preventing blood flow from moving.
He knew it wont be a good idea to leave it as it is, but it prevented the girl from bleeding to death, so they could fix the wound.
"Ok, first off, do you also know some medical stuff?" he said to the girl, he had to make sure they both knew some stuff in order to fix these 2 people and decided who would be doing what.

Lyle zoned out for a long while. He didn't pay attention to anything going on around him. He simply blocked every noise out. He heard occasional screaming from injured people but he didn't understand why they were complaining so bad. They just had some flesh wounds right? It couldn't be that bad, just some blood, maybe a large gash. Lyle made the effort of looking down to his leg which of course had blood all over it. Considering Lyle couldn't feel any pain he was unsure if it was an injury or if it was someone elses blood. He looked at the scene in front of him again. He glanced over at a tree where someone had propped up against it before breathing their last breaths with someone else. A sister or girlfriend even. He had a severed limb and bled out after going into shock. At least thats what it seemed. He looked towards a hill, where people gathered and they were doing something he couldn't see. Just as this was happening he looked over to the crash, which seemed to be a place where injured were brought.

Before all of this though, he was looking at a man who seemed to take control over the others. Maybe someone was intelligent after all. He listened to the man but Lyle did not move. He didn't know what to do. He wasn't into wood collecting and he wouldn't go near injured because that wasn't his specialty either. He made it clear that he didn't really want to help. In the back of his mind, Lyle thought it would be best just to leave the severely injured to die. They would just be more weight and there are way too many of them as it is. Of course this was just Lyle's thought. Who knows who would agree with him. These humans weren't really worth saving if there would be too many. There wouldn't be enough food and there wouldn't be enough shelter. It was simply too crowded right now. There was no way they were going to get something up for all of them.

Just as he was thinking about this, he put his hands in his face and let them drop to his side. He didn't notice the woman who slammed into him right away. He stared at her as she held another woman. This woman had a lot of blood in her abdomen. It was clear that she was injured beyond repair. But for whatever reason, the woman who caught her asked for his help. Out of all people, Lyle was asked for help. Lyle let out a quiet chuckle and knelt down to the woman who had practically fallen into him. "What is it you need help with?" He asked quietly and plainly. Just as this happened the man who took charge walked on over. Oh great, big boss man is here. Lyle was hoping this guy wouldn't piss him off, he wouldn't hesitate to use the mans sword against him.
