This boy contains an old soul. He does nothing without thinking it out first. Seeking every possible consequence to every action. Some might see him as being over cautious. To him it is just commen sense. Not willing to let anyone down he tries his best to please those around him especially the few he calls friend. He also likes to seek the truth in any debate which makes him an excellent mitigator. Which often gets him the role of referee in classmate's arguments as well as dualing class. Once he has finally made anykind of choice he never goes back on his word that would be the equivalent to suicide for him. He has actually lost a friend or two because of this, but he doesn't let it get to him saying, "If they can't handle the truth they shouldn't have asked."
SHORT BIOGRAPHY:
Born Benjamin Teague, his parents callied him BJ, he was raised in Kansas City, Kansas by Franklin and Elenora Teague as an only child. He didn't live as an only child being as his family was quite large his mother being the oldest of four and his father being the youngest of seven. Elenora's family was odd as the only other magically inclined members of her family were muggle born witches like herself, no wizards. Franklin's family just so happened to be the most influential pureblood family in the entirety of Kansas. So BJ had plenty of cousins to play with as he grew up and received the best schooling. Not everything was fine and dandy though as Franklin's mother didn't like the fact he married Elenora,a muggle, although his father was the one that helped spearhead the integration movement in Kansas. It wasn't long until BJ received a letter from Kingsridge.

Casperis the type of person people see as reliable and trustworthy, people typically come to him to divulge their problems, and he tends to give great advice when needed. He can act as a shoulder to cry on, or your therapist, for that many people tend to feel rather comfortable around Casper as if he were already friends with said person. He is straight forward, and sometimes uncompromising with others, in a sense he hates having to deal with bullshit, and out of all the things he can tolerate, he does not tolerate lying, and he seems to have little to no difficultly deciphering lies from people. He can be brutally honest with people if the situation calls for it. A fiery, and charismatic personality, Rylan is often the one catching the attention of those who would know no better. Always with a smile on her face, and probably planning something mischievous behind those dark eyes of her, you can never really tell what Rylan is thinking one moment to the next. She seems to truly enjoy life, and take things one step at a time for herself, and others. Depression would be atypical behavior for her, as she seems to have much energy to spare, even when everyone else seems rather tired. PERSONALITY:
There's no doubt about it, Salem is a country boy, born in Louisiana, the very first thing anyone will notice is his speech is thick with a Cajun accent, it can even be reminiscent of a slight French accent, seeing as how his multicultural community forced him to learn French creole. Most people tend to think of Salem as a hard edged young man, but when you talk to him, you'll find that's a very down to earth, warm, and humorous person. He typically calls himself a grown ass child, and is almost always joking, or causing a stir between crowds, he can sometimes be obnoxious, and even a little insensitive sometimes. However, Salem is a savvy young man, who loves to offer advice when needed. He is the type of person upon which others would label 'a shoulder to cry on', when around close friends he is noted for being loyal, and he always tended to his loved ones needs before his own. In a way, he gives off a rather brotherly vibe, and one distinct characteristic, is his hearty laugh which you can always hear around the corners of the Academy if you listen well enough.

PERSONALITY:
There's no doubt about it, Salem is a country boy, born in Louisiana, the very first thing anyone will notice is his speech is thick with a Cajun accent, it can even be reminiscent of a slight French accent, seeing as how his multicultural community forced him to learn French creole. Most people tend to think of Salem as a hard edged young man, but when you talk to him, you'll find that's a very down to earth, warm, and humorous person. He typically calls himself a grown ass child, and is almost always joking, or causing a stir between crowds, he can sometimes be obnoxious, and even a little insensitive sometimes. However, Salem is a savvy young man, who loves to offer advice when needed. He is the type of person upon which others would label 'a shoulder to cry on', when around close friends he is noted for being loyal, and he always tended to his loved ones needs before his own. In a way, he gives off a rather brotherly vibe, and one distinct characteristic, is his hearty laugh which you can always hear around the corners of the Academy if you listen well enough.
People find Salem alluring because of his positive attitudes, and some of his strange "Country Swamp" (as he would call it) mannerisms and attitudes. He responds very well to the needs of others, and is very empathetic and able to accept the feelings of others easily, but he has a certain sternness about his attitude sometimes when he feels his friends need to get into gear. He can be a great inspiration, and motivator, and goes to great lengths to assure that others are content, he can also be a little too generous for his own good. Unlike some people, anger may come more quickly to him, yet not as ferocious, but a little fearsome in it's own right. He seems to had some kind of wise spirit within him, this is especially apparent in the music he writes and creates, as well as his philosophy on life. All in all, Salem is a positive, conversational, and active person who loves all and loves equally, as long as you're open to anything, he is too.

PERSONALITY:
There are many people who disagree that Kwes belongs in House Luna due to his seemingly outgoing nature, and Kwes might be one of those people. Kwes is the sort of mellow fellow that draws to socialization like moth to a flame. It isn’t that he isn’t used to being alone but rather that he is far too used to it. He has a sense of dry humor that is often mistaken for pessimism and his honesty is usually misread as a sense of dry humor.
People that know Kwes beyond the typical small talk he makes with strangers he meets are often the ones that agree that Kwes belongs perfectly in House Luna. While his sense of humor can sometimes have a bit of a bite, Kwes is an excellent teacher due to his patience and understanding for mistakes. He does not get riled up easily if at all, and whether it’s because he has great control over his emotions or his depression smothers any other feelings is hard to tell. He’s not the type of person to kick anyone while they’re down and is often the first person to offer them a hand back up.
While Kwes often makes fun of his own house as a form of self deprecating humor, he respects each house and the virtues they represent. Whether he actually agrees with the values is a completely different topic, but he doesn’t go out of his way to argue his beliefs with others. When his stress levels peak out, Kwes tends to clam up and cut off any and all social contacts until the situation resolves itself, similar to an ostrich sticking its head in the dirt when presented with danger.

Rufus is fiercely loyal to Toby and they love each other dearly like all familiar and people should, but Rufus is aggressive and if he doesn’t get what he wants he will bite and peck Toby until he is noticed. PERSONALITY:
Toby is a very simple person. He’s smart and skilled in magic, but is always humble and never takes it too seriously. To the people that call him a gifted wizard he laughs and says that he just loves magic. He’s enlightened and wise in certain ways, but still easy going and playful. He has a sense of humor that not many people may get because he finds most things funny even though they may not be, but he never means anything spiteful or mean. He sees the world in a positive light and full of wonder and amazement like a child who has just been born. To him everything is done in good fun, which may be seen as him being immature and naïve, but to him it’s just being optimistic in life. He sees the world with possibilities and opportunities in mind.
He’s well aware that the world doesn’t go with anyone’s plans and it runs its course without anyone in mind. He knows that mistakes happen, bonds come apart, and actions and words can never be taken back, but he is also aware that time passes. He believes that in life, nothing can never stay bad forever, but at the same time nothing will ever be too good. Everything goes back normal, which is how it should be.
When faced with conflict and unwanted situations Toby becomes quieter than usual, but not too much to cause worry. To him the best way to solve a problem is by approaching it logically, head on, and making sure to keep his emotions won’t get in the way. Of course, it cannot be helped if Toby deviates from his typical behavior. As much as he tries to be the best Toby there is he is only human. He is a teenage boy filled with emotions that can burst at the seams which is why sometimes his emotions may get the better of him.
One of Toby’s worst habits is that he is too much of an individually minded person that never asks for help. He turns down most offers for helping him because he sees himself a burden to the other. Unsurprisingly enough Toby himself is helpful and always willing to do what is asked of him. He offers his help to anyone who needs it and always does it with a hundred percent, but he never notices just how much is being asked of him or how much he is giving away of himself. Toby never sees this as a form of abuse because a part of him likes to show off without being arrogant and sees this part of him as just simply being kind and it really is just him being a good person.
Toby is a good friend, but there are certain things that limit Toby from fully connecting with people. This inhibited nature of his makes certain people wonder if Toby does want to be a friend or is just there for the sake of being a pleasant person, and the answer is that he is there to be friends. Toby has his secrets, nothing too dark or grave, but they are very personal to him and as much as possible would like to keep it that way.
SHORT BIOGRAPHY:
Toby was born to two normal people in a world of wonder. His father, John, wanted to die old and die in his bed with his loving, normal, wife. His mother, Jane, wanted to be a homemaker since she knew what the word meant. Their plan was simple. They would get married, move into a house in the suburbs when they were in their late twenties, have children when they reach thirty, and then raise them until they get to retire and enjoy their old age in peace. He would work in an office for most of the day and bring home the bacon, and she would stay in the house and be a homemaker. In a world of wonder, never-ending magic, and impossible instances this plan was never bound to happen.
When Toby was born, they had no idea he was coming. Toby was an accident, unplanned, and as if most children born out of passionate love making without a condom Toby was a disappointment, a regret they have live with. They were a young married couple in their mid twenties living in a costly apartment in Baltimore. They had just accidentally toppled a single domino, and when a single domino falls so does everything else.
The moment he was born Toby already ruined their perfect plan. His parents tried his best, but they were young, inexperienced and had no idea how to raise a person. Help was received all around, but as he grew older help was becoming less and less helpful because only so many people can hello change a diaper or take care of a toddler.
Growing up that small home Toby understood that life was horrible and great. His mother who took care of him daily filled him happy memories, and his father created bitter one’s. In his mother’s eyes he was a mistake that she got excited for, and for that Toby was thankful and paid his mother’s kindness with friendship and love. In his father’s eyes he was a disappointment who ruined everything he wanted in life, but felt obliged as a father so Toby paid his father’s duty with respect and tolerance.
He grew up in a home that made him despise Ignorance, judgment, and control. His father constantly challenged Toby in everything he was, but his father never let him win because no matter how much he tried his father made him small and weak. His mother who took care of him rarely supported him in his desires always judging him quietly and giving him false hope. This type of life is not sad or miserable, but it made the happy memories truly happy because they were rare.
His mother was aware of magic because her brother was a wizard, an accomplished one at that. During their childhood, she grew distant to him and cut off ties with the magical world when she became an adult always trying to make sure she would live a normal life. This, of course, was a plan that Toby ruined the moment he made a neighborhood’s kid hair stand up on all ends and blue. Toby was magical and his parents both hated and feared him for it. They were parents so they accepted him without question, but his existence made them wonder whether or not they should have just gotten a abortion.
The moment the members of the family found they had a wizard on their hands more pieces fall which eventually led to his mother’s brother, the uncle Ridley who he’s never met before, the wizard, to come into the picture. Most of his early magical education came from his uncle, an accomplished wizard who made time to teach him magic until he would be old enough to attend KingsRidge. Normally they would not accept someone like Toby, but his uncle was an alumnus and Toby’s skills spoke for himself. Soon enough he was in New York in an environment so full of magic that it seems like he was robbed of a childhood he could have had.

PERSONALITY:
The ever spaztastic Emmy is like a whirlwind… no wait, a hurricane. That's so much cooler. She flits from one activity to the next, never stopping in between and sometimes even doing at least three simultaneously. It's not like she can't just sit back and relax—she actually likes doing that too—but there's this overwhelming sense of restlessness within her that she can never seem to quell. She has to be constantly moving. Even when she's sitting still, she's not actually sitting still. She fidgets and fiddles, bounces her feet or drums her fingers. It's especially noticeable when's having a bad day. She'll pace around or commit herself to a bunch of different activities for distraction.
Socially speaking, Emmy missed most conventional marks. For one thing, she never censors herself. Or she tries to, but her mouth moves too fast and words are slipping out before she even realizes. Prone to rambling, she also tends to divulge more than she means to. Well, usually. There are times where she purposely lets things slip, and people would be none the wiser. Emmy is naturally expressive and often uses her whole body to talk, making it easy for others to discern her emotions. She is very fluent in sarcasm, as well, and has a quip ready for any situation, appropriately jocular or snarky depending on the circumstance. It's almost like an instinct to her, really. She generally uses humor as a giant defense mechanism, which is why she'll be cracking jokes at the most inappropriate moments.
Eccentricities aside, Emmy has all the makings of a Terra, though it may not seem like it at first. Incredibly resourceful, she is great at improvising and thrives under pressure. It's the main reason she does pretty well in classes despite all her goofing off, and why most of the staff are particularly hard on her. She has the potential to be one of the school's brightest, if only she applied herself in her classes. Alas, her passion lies in other things. Solving KingsRidge mysteries and exploring the academy is just so much more interesting. With things she does have interest in, Emmy is stubborn. Once she sets her mind on a goal, she does whatever it takes to accomplish it, caring little about the 'how.' Or simply put, Emmy's of 'the end justifies the means' persuasion. Her approaches are often unorthodox, but who cares when you get results, right? All this culminates in a tendency to act on ideas without thinking them through, no matter how reckless and idiotic it seems. Luckily, she always (okay, almost always) manages to pull them off because of her astuteness and quick thinking, so it's never given her too much trouble.
Oh, and she's actually a pretty great friend to have. She is as blindly loyal as a puppy. There is nothing she wouldn't do for a good friend, and they can be sure that she'll find a way to solve whatever problem they have. She's the best go-to person you could have, especially when in need of a partner in crime (she is literally always up for some rule breaking).

Raised by a cop and an engineer in a small town in southern California, you'd think Emmy would have grown up to be disciplined and hardworking. But the way she saw it, her older brother already took all of her dads' best qualities and she was left with the problematic ones. He was the sensible and responsible one who got top grades and work hard, and she wasn't.
Emmy thought the world of her older brother Nick. She was the Robin to his Batman, the Luigi to his Mario, the Patrick to his Spongebob, the—you get the point. They were always together, and not just because she followed him around everywhere. Nick was only two years older, but as their dads were often up to their knees with work, he took on the role of caring for her when they couldn't. He played with her and tutored her, indulged all her childish whims. Both of them turned out to be magically-inclined, and they supported each other when their abilities started to manifest, which was around the same time. He helped her reign in her magic whenever she had her outbursts, and she taught him new tricks she'd learn by messing around.
Nick's first year in Kingsridge was the first time they had to part for longer than a day. Emmy busied herself so she wouldn't feel his absence. She started learning programming and found she had a knack for it (months later she would have been using her hacking expertise to mess with people she didn't particularly like). Her brother wasn't there to hold her back, so she used her magic a little more chaotically (like, to mess with the same people she didn't particularly like). She read mystery books and played video games and binge watched sci-fi shows. It was only when brother finally returned for the holiday that she slowed down.
Nick's second year in Kingsridge was the last time they had to part. His accident happened during winter break. They were crossing the street, there was a drunk driver, he shielded her. He died instantly, and no magic spell could have saved him. Emmy cried her eyes out for a month and thought she would never stop, but she did eventually. To cope, she busied herself as she always did, making sure she would never have time to think about unnecessary things. There was nothing to make her slow down and stop this time, so she kept moving. Hurricane Emmy was in full gear.
She attended Kingsridge a year later, but she never did outgrow the need to keep moving.

Emmy's just being childishly petulant by actively disliking her for not liking her brother back. She actually thinks she's pretty fun.

Emmy is very fond of her Cajun housemate; he's probably her favorite person in Kingsridge. She trails after him like a duckling does its mother, and if there's anyone she'll listen to obediently, it's Salem. She would never hesitate to lend him a hand, and she is incredibly protective of him.

Emmy hasn't gotten a lot of chances to talk to Nova, but they have crossed paths before. She tried to mimic her actions once, after she watched her expertly climb a tree, and failed miserably. Luckily, Nova was there to help her out.

Lamillia May Johnson: ◑ "Ooh, doesn't it seem like she came out of a CW teen drama? The popular girl who likes all things pretty."
Emmy doesn't know Lamillia beyond the idle gossip in the common room. Those who talk about her seem to be split: 50% like her and her attitude; 50% don't.
Thomas Benjamin Grimm: ◑ "Relaaax, take it easy~ ♪ Oops… which name was I on? Thomas who? Oh, Starbolt Tom. I'm pretty sure I passed by him once or twice. It's really hard to recognize the people sitting still, you know. They're all blurry."
Emmy knows about him because of Cass, who shares her appreciation for sport brooms. Maybe she could ask him for some R&R tips?
Cliodhna Burns: ◑ "Pureblooded Astra to look out for, 1 of 2: the redhead."
Emmy has never interacted with Clio, but she knows about her from her housemates, mostly from the ones who have gotten in trouble because of her.
Charlotte M. Spirit: ◑/☠"Pureblooded Astra to look out for, 2 of 2: the supremacist."
Emmy knows her as one of the students who have a strong dislike for muggles. She just doesn't understand why anyone would discriminate because of blood purity.
Benjamin Teague: ☺ "Haha! I feel like we're the tortoise and the hare. Ben and I are in the same year, but that's pretty much where our similarities end."
Emmy and Ben are at the two opposite ends of a spectrum. He thinks things through slowly but thoroughly, while she wings it most of the time. Overly cautious, while she's overly reckless. She doesn't mind though, and thinks it's hilarious when they're next to each other.
Morrigan Cassandra Brighthill: ☺ "Woohoo! Go, Cass! Try not to break anything again!"
Cass is one of her close friends. They hang out a lot in the common room, and they can talk about anything and everything. Emmy finds her amusing, and she often cheers for her when she's doing one of her risky stunts. She gushed about her mom when she first found out about her, but she got over it within five minutes, which is the typical Emmy attention span.
Kwes Powers: ◑ "Cool name. Sounds like some superhero! Kwes Powers to the rescue, evildoers beware."
Emmy can confidently say that her observation skills are top notch, but even then, she can't figure Kwes out. He looks like the type to enjoy solitude, but he actually is very social. Another one with a weird sense of humor.
Emmeline Lovelock: ☺ "Boop!"
Toby Kipling: ◑/♥ "I got pecked by his Rufus once, after I tried to pet him. Wasn't a fun experience. Anyway, Toby's pretty funny!"
Emmy's always drawn to people with a weird sense of humor. She doesn't know him well—it's really hard getting to know people when she interacts with so many different ones every day—but she has talked to him a couple of times. He's super nice and optimistic, and she sure wouldn't mind hanging out with him to get better acquainted.

Reuben Grayson: ☺ Emmy likes to think of the Headmaster as that cool uncle that gives you gifts every time he visits. He helped her through a panic attack once, staying with her until she calmed down even though he was really busy, and she'll always be grateful for that.
Balthazar Casper Barnes: ☺ "One of my favorite classes, and my second favorite teacher! He's got a no bullshit policy that I can appreciate, and he's not even scary. It's really easy to approach him!"
Emmy actually tries is DADA, which is quite a big feat, coming from her. Although, she does get distracted from time to time (it's his fault anyway; it's unfair for a professor to be that handsome), his teaching method works really well for her.
Melissa Wallace: ◑/☺ Because Charms is one of Emmy's strong points, she found that she doesn't really need to pay attention to Mel to pass the class. She finds her boy-crazy attitude pretty hilarious, though. Emmy always tries to coax her into talking about random things to waste class time.
Jaylen Beckley: ☠ "Boo, Professor B."
Emmy was disheartened when she found out about his stance on muggles. He's a great teacher and his class could have been one she actually took seriously, but because she takes his dislike for muggles personally, she purposely behaves poorly in class. She still does well in his class (she thought it would irk him more that way) but she gets in trouble quite often.
Madison James Cordell: ☺ "Favorite teacher, hands down."
She's not particularly into Herbology, but she does especially well in his class because he encourages her to be experimental and unconventional. Not all of the mentors are as openminded as him. He's also fun and funny, a combination she can always appreciate. Emmy feels like they're on similar wavelengths and his quips never fail to amuse her.
